Well what can I say we stayed in the guest house across the road from main hotel and our room was massive and spotless. The bathroom was spotless. Our room had a tartan theme. The t.v. was a good size. Proper mugs for your coffee. We had a twin room with a double bed and a single bed. Was a bit noisy from the street. Would recommend this guest house very comfy

This is a clean, pleasant well-run establishment offering good accommodation just off the city centre towards the end of Sauchiehall Street. The hotel is warm, comfortable and nicely decorated with a tartan/Scottish theme throughout. The hotel is well-located for popular attractions and there are numerous restaurants very close at hand. We were warmly welcomed at Reception and found all the staff throughout our short stay to be equally courteous and helpful. Our bedroom was nicely appointed and met our needs fully. Breakfast provided a good variety of options and was again managed by pleasant, efficient staff. Overall this was a hotel which exceeded our expectations and offered great value for money.

Room was okay for a budget hotel. Hotel was clean. We booked this via booking.com but also looked on the website of Argyll Hotel to find out more. We checked in, pretty straight forward. We were asked if we wanted to book breakfast but we refused as we had other plans. Room was large and clean (my sister and I heading to Blondie concert that night at Hydro). We got to our room...left our bags and then headed to the bar around 4pm only to be told it was closed and would not be opened. When we asked at reception they told us that it just wasn't open sometimes during the week but there were plenty bars and restaurants nearby. I asked if we could book a table for a meal and they told us that the restaurant was also closed again saying the same thing! I asked them why this was not advertised on their website stating the restaurant was only open certain days as one of the reasons we booked the Argyll Hotel was there was a restaurant and bar. They ended up turning it on Booking.com, but their website was the same! We asked to speak to the manager who was not available until 11am the next morning which was the time for checking out. When we eventually spoke to him he didn't seem to care. He did however offer us a £15 off for inconvenience but it seems that he missed the point. He told us that he would contact the marketing team to update website. The hotel is still advertising a cosy restaurant and bar.

we booked a twin bed room and we actually got a triple bed room, plenty of space and very very clean. spacious bathroom very modern and new. just the bed was on average, great position 20 minutes walk to the center and near SSE Hydro just 10 minutes walk. quite but central near a lot of places to eat and Tesco express breakfast was not included

I had a very nice 2 night stay at the Argyll guest house in Glasgow with a lovely single room and shower. I slept like a rock on an amazing bed and the breakfast service was heavenly. The location of the hotel was perfect for me as it was so central, so you could be in city centre within 15 minutes.

We stayed in mid October and in our first trip to Glasgow thought the hotel was nice and good value as the webpage on trip advisor where we booked stayed breakfast was included When we checked in and atbtrakfast we were never told it wasn’t and were presented with a bill for £34 in checkout The hotel have refused to refund this or even abate it a little claiming that we must have been told at check in and each morning which we weren’t This is despite me providing a screen shot of the webpage showing breakfast included The hotel facilities and rooms were great and the breakfast lovely so it’s a pity the whole trip was spoilt by a charge for something that we were led to believe was included and to be told we must have been informed is ludicrous as we would have challenged it at the time and not at checkout and since

We stayed here as a family group on 1st November to go to WWE. Great hotel, triple room consisted of a double bed and 3 single beds. We still had plenty of room, all the staff are helpful and the breakfast selection was superb. Thank you for a lovely stay. Will be back.

Stayed 2 nights as we came here for the concert at the SSE Glasgow. Great location with many restaurants, museum and park nearby plus bus stop just a few steps away for getting into the city centre and only about 20 min to walk in good weather. Room was clean and comfy bed, staff very friendly and breakfast absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back again!

We stayed recently for 1 night as we were attending a gig at SSE which is only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The room was a bit small & tired looking and the decor had seen better days but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The 7.30-9.30 breakfast times could do with a review as clearly most people were coming in at 9-9.15 and couldn't get seated. It wouldn't hurt to extend it to 10am as per most other hotels for the comfort of guests. Staff were very friendly.

We stayed here as ideal for Hydro. Great hotel loved the Scottish theme, tartan in the rooms! Our room was quite small but very clean, comfy bed too. The staff were all friendly especially the ladies at breakfast.
