We stayed here three nights in October as part of some Swiss sightseeing, arriving on the Glacier Express from Zermatt and departing three days later on the Bernina Express. We were picked up from the station as arranged. The hotel rooms are modern minimalist décor with light timber finishes. A tad reminiscent of a ski lodge and very appropriate. The rooms do not have tea and coffee facilities, but we borrowed a kettle from reception. Staff members were very friendly and Reception very helpful with sightseeing info and maps etc.. The hotel is in a good location, close to the funicular to go up to Piz Nair, close to the Coop supermarket, and close to the bus stop for the No.2 and No.3 buses. It is an easy walk downtown to the escalator which takes you down to the lake. Breakfast is a continental breakfast, but omelettes and scrambled eggs, etc., can be ordered for 5-6 CHF. Gluten free bread was provided for us (and toasted on request) .My only suggestion would be to provide a toaster. Maybe Swiss do not eat toast at breakfast. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very nice and staff very pleasant. If staying two nights or more in summer, the hotel provides a transport card, which was very helpful as it meant we did not have to go looking to buy one ourselves. The card covers the cost of local buses and various funiculars and gondolas to travel up the mountains, and is very worthwhile as the mountain rides are quite costly without the card.
We stayed here as part of a trip organised by Swiss Railtour. It was a great place to stay, and we enjoyed the room, breakfast, and location. When we arrived, we phoned the hotel, and someone came to pick us up straight away. We had the same service when we left the hotel,so we were happy with the service offered. Breakfast was good, with plenty to eat, and good choice of food.
Arrived by train at St. Moritz. We were picked up at the train station and taken to our hotel, then when we left the next day we were driven back to the station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was really nice, very spacious and looked out onto the street below. We enjoyed a meal late afternoon before walking to the Olympic village site. There was no coffee making facility in the room. The breakfast next morning had plenty of variety to choose from. A very comfortable motel with a homely feel to it.
It’s about 10-15 mins walk from the train station, or the hotel will offer a ride for you as long as you call the hotel in advance to arrange. Breakfast is included, good amount of selection. There’s elevator, but it’s very small, if you don’t mind walk up stairs, that will be quicker. We got a room with pretty good view, and the window curtain is dark enough so you can wake up anytime you want. The bath is small but clean and the water pressure is good. The bed is comfortable, but the baseboard water heater is a bit noise at night The restaurant in the hotel has pretty good food, the soup is awesome, if you order tap water, you’ll need to pay a small fee. Supermarket is up the hill about 5 mins walk, but make sure you check out their store hour.
The hotel provided a free transfer from the train station when we arrived in the afternoon. The friendly owner, Marcus Hauser personally welcomed us at the check in. He also gave some essential information on how we could make the most of our overnight stay in St. Moritz. During this time, the city was in between the peak ski winter and summer season and few tourists were in town. The hotel room is constructed out of the Swiss perch and pine wood. Except for the walls, the bed, cabinet, and desks were all made of lumber. This gave the hotel a homey feel while being modern at the same time. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel café offered some expensive Swiss cuisine. The menu was diverse. We had a fine al fresco dinner right on St. Moritz’s empty main square. Breakfast was excellent. Many thanks Marcus.
Mr. Hauser himself and his son greeted us and placed our luggage themselves in our room (we had a lot of luggage). What a friendly gesture! The room is spacious and you can tell it's newly refurbished. Wish there were a small refrigerator in the room. Location is very central and there's parking space even though it was kind of tight. Everybody was very friendly. The bakery is very good. A must try. We had to open the windows because it was warm and felt stuffy. A bit noisy the first night but the second night was better. I guess having a room facing the front of the hotel comes with a bit of noise. No coffee/tea maker in the room. No selection of warm/hot food for breakfast but still plenty of food. A very nice hotel overall. We'll stay here again next time we come to St. Moritz.
I stayed in Hauser Swiss Quality Hotel from 3 September to 6 September as the first destination of my 17 day Switzerland trip. Hauser has kindly upgraded me to a Family Room which is spacious, modern and with a nice balcony overlooking the town centre. The included breakfast is very good. All the staff in the Front Desk and Restaurant are very helpful and cheerful. The location is very good as you can walk to the Station and the St Moritz Lake in a few minutes. We had a walk round the whole lake which is very relaxing. Hauser Swiss Quality Hotel is a very good choice in St Moritz.
Very good amen responsive customer service before the trip, when asking for transfer and restaurant reservation. Location is at centre of the town. Room is adequate for single traveller (I stayed one night only) and quiet. As I left early for train so didn't get to try their breakfast. All in all a good experience.
The Hauser hotel in St Moritz was excellent. It was in a very central location and the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory. I would recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms (modern, wood) in the heart of St Moritz. Good breakfast, friendly service and also a very good restaurant if you want to eat in. Easy walking distance from the train station (with an escalator to cover the height difference). As a service, they offered free passes for local cable cars that we used to go up to Corviglia and Piz Nair.
