Location is good, walking distance to some restaurants and supermarket. Parking. Nice motel. I got a family room with a promotion price. Room was really nice and large, bathroom amenities, mini coffee maker, mini fridge, wicrowave. Bed are confortable. We had a problem with the heater and after I asked to the staf, they fixed it. Great value for money
Had registered previously a room with two king beds but to our surprise we were provided a room with three beds. Though we didn't need the third one, it was not lying down. Every thing was fine except the congested bath room. I guess some off oversized guest cannot use the rest room😀
good location. good price on weekdays. has a nice breakfast. clean and friendly. run by nice family. good coffee and donuts, bagels and muffins. worth the visit. more expensive on weekend. i would go back again
Pros: Clean, large room, free WiFi, free parking, cold refrigerator, microwave worked great, large flat screen TV with good cable channels, pets allowed, Cuisinart mini coffee maker; bathroom amenities to include shampoo, conditioner, nice soaps, beds are decent, lots of pillows, friendly office staff with free coffee, donuts, bagels, muffins in the morning, very close to historic downtown Flagstaff, VERY reasonable rates, computer to use in the lobby if you'd need one. Cons: well...hum....old motor inn style hotel that could use some minor upgrades but honestly, for the price, couldn't beat it! If you're worried about seeing a stray hair or a spider that managed in, or maybe chipped paint on the door or a loose end of wallpaper, you should probably seek out a Hilton, pay quadruple, get snooty service and try the $25 breakfast buffet!
This was an old, dirty room. The carpet had to be from the '70's and it didn't look like it had been cleaned since then. The floor in the bathroom felt like it was caving in around the tub. The toilet seat was falling off. It was a very noisy night with the people across from us sounded like a bunch of kids who were out partying. Pleasant desk clerk, but that doesn't make up for the condition of the room.
I booked this place through booking.com. Promo ad said 4.5 stars out of 5. I should have investigated further because 4.5 is false advertising! Quaint historical motel on Route 66 is what it USED to be. It is NOT quaint now. It's pathetic. My skin crawled. I covered the bed with my clothing so I wouldn't touch the unclean bedding. I committed to 5 days here at move-in week at NAU. Luckily I was able to be refunded 2 days of the 5. The man at the front desk was kind and said it was no problem. BUT after I stripped the room and left notes next to every gross stain, guess what? About 7 hours later, my credit card that I used there was hacked. I have a sneaky suspicion that someone there didn't appreciate all of my notes pointing out every stain, hair, crack, etc.
It was old but not bad. There is a hot water and clean towel and sheets. They have also microwave, fridge and a coffe mashine. Also free parking and good wi fi. We have include breakfast but we leave early so i don't know wat it was :)
Very old school motel. Lots of history. Small repairs could b made but overall it was comfortable and clean. Staff...lovely. if you are looking for state of the art you are in the wrong place. However if you want to be reminded of route 66 then you're on your way. Awesome breakfast spot right next door!
We went to this motel when we were on route and we've been to many motels, but this was too much. The bed linens hadn't been properly changed (hair, stains, dust) We also saw two spiders in the room. It was cheap and they gave us a bigger room than we asked for, but we couldn't even sleep here. We asked for a refund and after much fighting we got our money back. Ask to see the room before sleeping there.
Only positive thing I can say is the staff were nice to work with, and were willing to give us a refund on our room after I told them we were not going to stay. The motel itself is run down, and dingy. Badly painted, our room had a six+ inch gap from the doorstep inside the room that I practically fell over when we walked in side. The tile in the bathroom was cracking, and the air conditioner that was one foot from the bed made a horrible humming/spurting water noise. The beds appeared to be made of a foam mattress. (but I didn't personally inspect to confirm that.) I stay at budget hotels whenever I travel, so my expectations aren't high but this was just NOT acceptable. So much so we left ten minutes after arriving and stayed somewhere else. Seriously there are TONS of motels in Flagstaff, just as cheap and better quality rooms. (we found the travel Lodge three miles away was awesome and only an extra $20 higher in price. Well worth it. But again, I am at least greatful the staff I dealt with were understanding and accomodating. The only reason I giving them two stars instead of one.
