The hotel was nice, pleasingly decorated and an ok breakfast.(The choices were a bit limited for breakfast). My husband and I were disappointed because it was our anniversary weekend and we paid extra for the room with the fireplace. It was an electric one mounted to the wall and had no knob to adjust the brightness, and was unfortunately turned to the lowest setting. A nightlight was brighter than the "fire". We ended up going to the store and buying some candles to compensate for the lack of fireplace glow. If you want a romantic fireplace room, don't bother, and save money going with a regular room!

Very clean. Staff is so wonderful.Friendly. Willing to help you whatever you need. Booked to stay 2 nights on our Grand Canyon trip. Hotel was so nice we extended 1 more night. If you are anywhere near to Grand Canyon this is the place to stay.

The hotel is actually nice & relatively new. We fully enjoyed most all of the staff too, until we had a problem. At around 1215a, while we were sleeping, our AC unit went nuts and started making crazy loud noises. We had no choice but to shut it off, as it was too noisy to sleep. The hotel is very well insulated, so the room got pretty warm quickly. We tossed and turned most of the night, and did not get a very good night's sleep. When I went to shower in the morning, I gagged at the smell of mildew in the shower. Totally nasty! Upon check out, I brought up these issues to a Manager named Heena(sp?). She told me that she would give me a voucher that would be good for one night at this same La Quinta. I told her that we live in Georgia, and only stayed there to see the Grand Canyon, and that would not help, as we did not intend on coming back to this small town. From there, she made up every excuse in the book. First she said that she was out of certificates to be used at other La Quintas. Then she said that she could not credit us anything bc we booked through a 3rd party site. Lastly, when I asked to speak to the GM, she told me that he was off. I called/left a message, but have not heard back. All this manager had to do was to try and remedy our problem, but it was obvious that she was intent on giving me the run around. I plan to call as high up in corporate as I can to get this resolved! All they gained was a 1 star review! Why not just do the right thing?
