Hotel Palacio de Los Navas3.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is situated at the bottom of Navas which is a long street known for all its Tapas Bars. The hotel itself has character, it is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a simple buffet but well presented. The only downside was the lack of tea and coffee in the room albeit you could go down to the lounge and the staff would make a cup of whatever you fancy. Bearing in mind the hotel is on a busy pedestrian street it was suprisingly quiet at night. Having made the trip to Granada to see the Alhambra Palace, we had been told by others that it was a mere 20 minute walk to the entrance. The staff in the hotel laughed when we told them and suggested a taxi instead, which cost less than 8 euros. The walk would have taken more than 20 minutes and is all up hill in 35 degrees of heat ! That advice and the taxi was the best suggestion given ever. The walk back downhill is pleasant if you so wish. To conclude therefore, we have a lovely clean hotel in the middle of a multitude of restaurants and a taxi to the door ordered by the hotel will get you to the entrance of the magnificent palace in 5 minutes. Well worth it !!
The most beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of it all. We were welcomed by the friendly and helpful Lucia. Another touch that was really appreciated was the tea/coffee and pastries in the lounge area. Breakfast was also great, so if ever we should decide to visit Granada again, this is the place we would stay!
What a lovely hotel in the middle of everything! Lucia at reception is an absolute star, always friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. What was truly special was the coffee/tea and pastries in the lounge downstairs.
Lovely hotel with nice personal touches like tea and pastries in the afternoon which were much appreciated after a very hot day exploring Granada. Nicely styled comfortable rooms decorated in white and natural wood. Good breakfast and really helpful, friendly reception. Driving to the hotel is a challenge - the cobbled streets are narrow and you have to take a specific route so check with the hotel first. Parking is 16.5 Euro per day in a public car park a few blocks away (we parked and wheeled our luggage- it only takes a couple of mins) but the car park is extremely compact and the ramp to the lower floors was a challenge for me. Nonetheless great hotel and would stop there again and certainly recommend it.
This hotel is situated right in the middle of the town. The rooms are really nicely styled with comfy beds and a good bathroom. Cold water and tea are available in reception all the time as well as little snacks should you want them. The prospect of getting to the hotel by car my be a little daunting due to the restricted road and signs about fines, but if you follow the hotels instructions you will arrive fine. Then the car park is also quite tight however if you take it slow it's fine.
The hotel is in walking distance from all the shops, bars and restaurants. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. They recommended fabulous bars and restaurants and gave us directions. If you stay at this hotel you must have a massage, either in your room or if your room is not big enough then one of the spare rooms will be provided. I have been having massages for many years but this one was by far the best full body massage I have ever had!
Small hotel with 19 rooms. It is an old palace that is converted. We stayed in a double superior room and could not have been happier. Parking is close by and the front desk will stamp your ticket so you receive a discount. We emailed ahead of time and they sent us a link with directions to find the parking. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Upon arrival we found a fruit plate waiting for us in the room, Very nice touch! Breakfast was ample and well stocked. Rooms was quiet, the only place I could hear noise was in the bathroom. Staff on the desk were extremely personable and very helpful. Within walking distance of cathedral and shops. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!
We stayed for three nights in this lovely hotel that has been very tastefully created from a sixteenth century palace/townhouse. It has 19 rooms. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained with charming staff. Parking, as you would imagine is not at the hotel but in a public secure car park nearby. It costs 18-20 euros a day. The hop on hop off bus can be caught at the bottom of the street for trips to the Alhambra, and there are good restaurants and tapas bars very close. It is about five minutes walk from the main shopping streets. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel and will stay there again. Keep the windows closed and the air-conditioning on otherwise it can be noisy ( it is the centre of the city so garbage collection etc happens in the early morning)
The hotel is a charming place, in the tourist Center of the city. The windows are not sound insulated and the air conditioning did not work, leaving us to keep the windows open but the street below is loud until late at night and early morning there are delivery trucks. When we asked about the air conditioning, we were told that they turned it off between winter and summer. The next day, they told us they would turn it on, but after telling us three times that it should work... we gave up and kept the windows open. We asked for suggestions of restaurant and they did not really know... how is that possible in this range of a restaurant. Breakfast was nothing special... minibar did not work. It is sad that such a place does not follow with adequate service.
We stayed here in March ,it is a lovely hotel steeped in history. The breakfast was wonderful lots of selections. Can't say enough about the staff they were so helpful booking trips for us and giving advice . We would have liked a bigger room, but they all tend to be on the smaller side in Europe. It is in the centre of the historical area and not far from nice restaurants. I would not come by car unless you absolutely have to it is near impossible to park by hotel ,very narrow streets, and parking is off site. Loved Granada . You have to visit the Gypsy quarter and see the Flamenco dancers ,hotel will arrange it for you. We are back home in Vancouver Canada now but have wonderful memories.
