Unfortunately we only had one night at this hotel in Granada but were very impressed with the hotel and Granada and would love to visit both again sometime. The hotel is small and very convenient for the centre. It is built around a typical Spanish courtyard and although they do not do food there are lots of very appetising places near by. The staff in particular were extemely helpful, especially in sorting out a fine I would certainly have got for driving in restricted areas in the city. My advice is not to take a car!
This is a marvelous little hotel in a great location near the center of the city within walking distance of shopping, dining and many other attractions. It is located on a peaceful street, so my street side room at the front of the building was delightfully quiet allowing for a good rest each evening. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and speak English well. There is complimentary coffee in the small lobby. I routinely received a consistently good wi-fi connection from anywhere in the hotel. While the outside of the hotel is attractive, it is the inside which really shines, including a quiet interior courtyard with tables and plantings. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to other travelers.
Nice, centrally located small hotel. As others have commented, the street approach is underwhelming, but everything you want to see and do is an easy walk. There is a lovely central patio area if you want to siesta. Staff were very helpful, room was clean, bathroom was modern, and the price was right. Kettle and cups were provided, but no spoons, my one complaint.
Only stayed 1 night at this hotel in Granada. However, i was pleasantly surprised at the many benefits this hotel provided: 1. Great service with a smile when i arrived to check in (this is sometimes hard to find in Spanish hotels). 2. Secure parking in hotel carpark (at a very cheap price). 3. Located in a quiet street only 5 min walk from town centre and all the restaurants and bars. 4. Rooms were quiet, clean and adequate. I would recommend reserving the top floor room (4th floor). Its the only room on this floor and has a little terrace. 5. Very cost effective price. 6. All relevant information provided with maps by the very helpful. One word of advise......."never judge a book by its cover".........on arrival at this hotel you may initially think that it is located in a shabby part of town with a lot of graffiti on nearby buildings however, the hotel inside is fine and area is safe.
Based on our accommodation for 3, our room which was next to the road was small, noisy, a bit smelly and barely adequate. A jug and cups were provided but no coffee, tea, milk. You had to ask for it at reception. There weren't enough power points to charge devices and the lack of bedside tables or shelving was problematic. The place was clean and the staff helpful but the hotel is situated in a scuzzy part of the neighbourhood. The 'parking' is a vacant lot behind the hotel and is even more scuzzy if that's possible. It's really a hostel more than a 2 star hotel. On the upside we did get tickets to the Alhambra from the hotel when there were none available on -line. Maybe this makes up for its short comings.
The location is near the local college. That means many small shops ant eateries. It is just a few blocks from the on and off bus line which will take you around the city. The restaurant in the hotel is reasonable but limited. There are several great places to dine near by. Breakfast buffet is overpriced but good.
We picked this hotel because of its central location, good price and the fact it has secure parking ( a rare commodity in Granada). We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and shown where to park our car in their gated parking lot. The room was clean and functional and when we went back to reception we were provided with a map and plenty of recommendations for great restaurants and tapas bars (all were good). The hotel is a pleasant 30 min walk from the Alhambra Palace and close to the main shopping district. Overall a great value for money place to stay.
We stayed three nights with an upstairs room overlooking the courtyard. The room and furnishings were great and the staff extremely helpful. Kettle and refrig. in room were an added bonus. The property is well situated near restaurants and the downtown area, we walked from here through the downtown but taxied to the Alhambra as we had early AM entrance times.
Sometimes the word rustic makes me scared, is that synonymous for 'I felt like I was living in a barn with farm animals', I ask myself. Or it reminds me of the time I attended my friends wedding and it was very rustic chic (it's a thing, why? I saw it on pinterest). So friends that I've never meet it's the latter... The lovely lady at the front was very welcoming and smiled as I used my limited Spanish in which case she started to speak English. A relief needless to say. The room was clean and neat but the real charm was the inner courtyard. Loved it, and let me tell you I don't like ALOT of things. The hotel is also near the bus and Grenada center about a 7-10 minute walk if you don't get lost. I would recommend especially due the price which makes me feel like black market antiquities dealer...
