we stayed for 1 week on a package tour (organized by Ving) and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is located right on the beach. Staff was very friendly and forthcoming. Breakfast (only meal of the day we had at the hotel) was outstanding. We'd like to come back

My room, a standard single was tiny, with a nice bathroom, so if you don't like sleeping in a single bed, don't book this. The window opened onto a small internal well. It was spotlessly clean, but the bed linen was changed only once during the whole week I was there. On my last night, the hotel was largely populated by athletes from the European throwing championships and the standard of breakfast dropped as the orange juicing machine disappeared and replacement of food on the self service buffet could not keep up. The hotel's location on the beach is fabulous, but I was disappointed as this hotel did not match the quality of other NH hotels I've stayed at.

I can recommend this hotel, awesome location but still quiet, good breakfast, the Canteras beach is outside the front door. Good restaurants nearby and nice walk to two large shopping centreI El Corte Ingles. I want to come back soon !

According to Thomson's Brochure, this is a 4* hotel. The location is great, for catching busses and seeing round Las Palmas. The beach is outside the front door. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, we could have upgraded to a sea view room, but due to early dark nights and the weather, we were glad not to have done so. The reception staff have an air of indifference. We never found the Cocktail Bar or any bar, even though there was one clearly mentioned in the brochure. The hotel looks clean until you look under the chairs or the beds. Also, on the day we returned to our room about 3pm, we found that it hadn't been serviced. All the other days we returned after 6pm and the room had been attended to! Breakfast was excellent and the view from the dining room was first class. Our main cause for concern was we had booked Al La Carte evening meals and were confronted with a buffet which was poor. No hot plates and on the second day, the cooked food was cold. After being the only ones to complain, we received a well cooked meal. Even so, it wasn't the sort of quality you would expect from a 4* restaurant. On the following nights, the A La Carte turned out the be a choice of 2 dishes for each of the 3 courses, again not 4* quality. We were given a plate of fruit and a bottle water after expressing our feelings about the food. No doubt, the manager will make comments about putting our points forward to the heads of the relevant departments, but we're sure, that after reading previous guests comments, nothing will change!

This hotel has the best location on the Playa de la Canteras beach area. Good restaurants nearby and nice walk to two large shopping centre. Nice rooms and on seaside great view to the see. Really nice breakfast.

Hotel was fab, great location with beach on the door step, many options for food and drink and all within walking distance. The hotel arranged car hire for us and at such a bargain price. No need to add breakfast to your booking as so many options available directly outside the hotel and cheap too.

We picked this hotel because of its location, and we were not disappointed, situated right on Playa de Las Canteras with its superb beach and plentiful Restaurants. It was worth paying the extra cost for a balcony with a sea view. The room was large, comfortable beds and a great shower. Only downside to the room was the lack of tea making facilities. We chose B&B and we were not disappointed. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with the option of freshly cooked eggs, sausages and bacon being available. The only criticism would be the lack of staff and Hotel management meetings being held in the Restaurant during breakfast. The most disappointing thing about this Hotel was the apparent lack of a welcoming bar. There was a bar but it didn't appear to be open despite being advertised as being open, nothing stocked on the shelves and as the tables were always set up for Dinner or Breakfast there was no where to sit. Reception staff were excellent as was the cleaning service.

This hotel caters for tourists and business and the initial arrival experience was efficient but a little cold . We were on a package so no fancy sea view room which meant that the room faced some building works and the usual street noise. This would not normally be a problem as the hotel has air conditioning. Despite the hotel electrician telling me it was ok IT WAS NOT. It was probably a system that stops you having individual room control and works on either floor or sections of the hotel with their own air con unit .So when the hotel decides to turn it you get control but only then.

The location and ample amenities nearby save this hotel. There are shortcomings such as the havoc at breakfast where it is so busy it is difficult to find a table as the staff cannot clear the tables fast enough, but they make a good effort at replenishing the food. There is no bar as the room is used to extend the restaurant and it is not staffed. The restaurant is to be avoided in the evenings as the set menu and the a la carte offer poor choices. The staff of two panic with about ten diners and the waiter in charge is unpleasant and officious. We looked and left. There are some fantastic places to eat nearby. The housekeeping staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our holiday and the room was OK but we have stayed in some very nice NH hotels in the past.

Staff was great! Location perfect, 30 sec from the beach and about 1 min walk from a big supermarket. Restaurants are all close by. Room was ok. What i mostly noticed room was outdated and we didnt have enough storage room, ie shelves etc. hotel is some 30 mins from the airport by car. Didnt get a breakfast there as there were plenty options all along the beach strip which were cheaper and delicious/ filling.
