Well located with excellent staff. Half the hotel is accessible and refurbished. The other half is a long walk through many corridors and stairs leading to room with holes in bath filled with poly-fillet, fans hanging from ceiling. On the bright side the beds are amazingly comfy and house keeping are very flexible in timing.

This is my 3rd stay this year at the Don Miguel. A lovely hotel which is made by the friendly staff. I would have given a 5 star review but the evening meal choice seems to have deteriorated since my last stay. Breakfast is great with good selections.

Enjoyable stay , good breakfast with a lot of variety well laid out , excellent facilities pool gym plenty of sun beds comfortable beds room neees updating but plenty big enough - and very comfortable bed maid was in every day to tidy up - Very good central location for the yumbo and not far from bus stops or taxi ranks

Often stay here when visiting Gran Canaria. Great location and hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is actually very good. The pool area is fantastic l but the hotel doesn’t seem to police the non hotel guests from using it, I actually got talking to a couple who even told me they weren’t staying there just liked the pool area, sometimes hard to find a lounger for that reason. The staff are always friendly and fun - looks like they enjoy working there. The rooms have had a small refresh in the past few years but still looking quite tired around the place. Some facade is cracking badly and the bathrooms are very average. I enjoyed the hotel bar/cafe but only complaint I would have is that quite often when you have finished dining and want to pay it’s really hard to get the staff‘s attention and you’re often sitting there for ages it’s quite frustrating. Even when i approached the bar/till area I was directed back to my table and they would come to me, but the staff just stood there waiting for orders to deliver when I think best use of time would be to complete the bill of diners finished then run an order when it’s done?

The hotel is tired. Cracked tiles. A broken toilet. Badly behaved/noisy guests which the hotel do not deal with. The breakfast offered hardly anything for vegans.

Good, but ling walk to rooms!

Hotel is very dated, the rooms are nice and beds very comfortable, I slept well. The air con had a mind of its own and bathroom hairdryer did not work. This hotel is a maze and not suitable for people with mobility issues. Major let down for this hotel is the distance from reception to the rooms which is a maze with lots of stair cases - if they knocked down a few hedges and made pathway from reception to the the first external facing rooms then it would be a grewt hotel. Food and service was very good.

Second Time Is A Charm

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Don Miguel. I went back because of the staff and the location. Had a lovely large, clean room with a nicely sized balcony that had a view of the main road but it wasn’t noisy and was nice to sit on and relax. Breakfast was always nice and tasty with something for everyone.

We were pleasantly surprised and really impressed with this hotel. Great location for the Yumbo Centre, very friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean room and a great pool. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great Hotel close to yumbo

Great hotel with lots of amenities and evening entertainment. Very close to the Yumbo Centre and transport links. Staff were super friendly and nice too. Breakfast was a large buffet of hot and cold options and drinks too. Love that they have shower facilites in reception if you have a flight in the evening. I sunbathed all day and got refreshed and showered which is the first time ive seen a hotel do this. Only downfall is the walk from reception to my room was long. The hotel is a maze. But other than that i would 100% recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This was my third visit to the hotel and very happy to be back. The hotel is well situated close to the main Yumbo centre and a short walk to the bus stop and taxis’ are also available just outside the hotel. Only short coming was the evening entertainment which most nights (other then two) was a DJ playing a mix of songs the could just have been on shuffle from a steaming device.
