My husband and I spent a week relaxing at this fab adult only hotel. We had booked half board. We were given a ocean view room even though we hadn’t booked one which was great. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink in the roof top bar, we arrived just before closing but went up and was please rly surprised that you could choose anything from the menu as your welcome drink! The rooms although not huge are very stylishly designed with a very comfy bed. Nice Morton Brown toiletries that was replenished daily if needed. Free bottle of water each every night. Apple TV in room. The only negative was the plastic light up seats on the balcony that might look and funky but very hard and uncomfortable to sit on. There are two pool areas, which were both clean and well kept.one long one we’re you can do lap swimming and one small one, they both got a hot tub attached to them. Nice sun beds but probably not enough when hotel is busy. Breakfast and dinner was taken at the amazing restaurant at the top of the building with amazing views if the sea and the sand dunes. They have great bifold doors so it almost feels like you’re sitting outside. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and table service. Always served with a smile. The evening half board meals were also very good with probably roughly 15 dishes to choose from in each section. Food was very nice but the wine was expensive. Three negatives with the evening meal was that it was very slow service and a long wait between courses. One of the days they offered us a potato and leek soup as a starter. I’m allergic to fish and shellfish and had told the staff. I started eating it and tasted fish straight away, I told the waitress, who ensured me that wasn’t the case but luckily I stopped eating it only for the waitress to return 5 minutes later to apologise as there was fish sauce in it!!!! If you had a bottle of wine or other drink to finish off, you couldn’t take it with you to sit in the outside roof top bar and chill. If you want to go down the seafront to go on the beach, the hotel supplies you with a towel and a bottle of water which we thought was a nice touch. You have to go down a lot of steps to get to the beach so if you struggle with stairs you might have difficulty. At the bottom of a the steps you find s great little supermarket. The resort itself is nothing special. Feels a bit tacky and run down. Nice beach but too windy to enjoy when we were there as the sand kept blowing around but nice for a long walk along on a couple of occasions when the wind wasn’t too bad. Would come back to enjoy the tranquility in the hotel but would book B&B next time.
we like the service from the stuff, it was exellent. We don´t like the restaurants food, it was small portions and not so good. The pool area was nice and Clean, like the room. I like the service at the room that we got water every day
Really enjoyed our stay here, we were in the larger room with a sea facing view and the balcony had a sun bed. Was the best hotel of the trip. Loved the cocktail bar. Wish the pool was warmer in winter but that's every hotel.
Just returned from a week in GC Weather terrible cold ,wet and windy Hotel good although one of female reception staff rather surly and generally not very helpful Bath towels old and scratchy should be replaced Enjoyed cocktail bar and discovered honey rum Would not come back under any circumstances, nothing traditional about GC and certainly eating in shopping centres with laminated menus and dodgy looking night clubs in basement is not our idea of fun Absolutely nothing of interest to see or do played mini golf a couple of times which was highlight of trip- think that sums it up Final day one of other hotel guests nabbed our paid for hotel transfer .....
Just for the fabulous eighth floor breakfast alone, this is worth a stay. Very modern and well appointed. Great views. Helpful staff. Food good value. Short walk to beach serving all persuasions. Not noisy. Don't believe some of the negativity on this site.
Spa and gym area are nice and service was excellent! We got all questions answer very quickly and cleaning in hotel was perfect! Breakfast was so good, dinner we ate once in other restaurang (want "normal" beef) J&I from Finland
I really dislike this place. I found checking in to be cheesily over the top and long. I had booked a corner junior suite which promised privacy as you can see from photo a big window of another hotel looks directly in...the manager did agree and offer to move me to another floor but I had unpacked and had a night by then. The prospect of packing and unpacking again isn't appealing. The room is nice and the bed comfortable. All very Apple oriented and had issues with air con not working night 1 and turning on tv was difficult ...the instructions for everything are on the tv but you have to be able to turn it on first...i gave up. There was also an irritating buzz from the speakers. I ate in the restaurant on one night and had the vegetarian option of lentils with veg...an M and S ready meal is better. The veg was tasteless. Nice dessert but very small. I left hungry. Breakfast is very good looking out to sea or over monstrous old 60's built blocks depending where sat. The public spaces are tiny . Restaurant downstairs closed and looked sad and abandoned. The pool area is tiny and the bar area a wind tunnel. I couldn't wait to leave it feels very pretentious and enclosed....a pointless security guard at the entrance for show armed with truncheon and handcuffs didn't add to a relaxed feeling. The manager Alejandro dealt with my complaints as well as could be expected and is a nice chap.I lost nearly 3000 pounds as the bookings are all non refundable..they gave me 20% back. I have moved to Vital Suites which is much more relaxing and with lovely large pool area and gardens and yet half the price. I have now re imagined this hotel as not existing moving forward, I would advise anyone thinking of staying there to do the same. As my mum would say, it's all fur coat and no knickers
An excellent hotel with standout customer service - staff are consistently good with a high level of customer engagement - reception efficient. Our room was a corner suite(504) large and well arranged bi directional terraces affording morning and afternoon light - comfortable bed and lovely shower. Atelier bar on rooftop has a buzz with terrific views. Drinks comparatively expensive, (understandably), food and snack offer weak, service hesitant.
Besides the well deserved positive review already posted by my husband a few days ago, I wanted to add a few words about the extreme flexibility and definite customer oriented mindset of the brand: our January stay was actually a reschedule of a trip initially planned for October 2017 which had to be cancelled last minute due to personal matters. The hotel management had been very accommodating in allowing a plain push-back of the stay rather than strictly applying the cancellation policy which otherwise would have resulted in a complete financial loss (no medical justification or certificate was even requested). This was a very trustworthy attitude from the Bohemia which made us look forward even more to stay there again. This is a very specific example but « thoughtfulness » pretty much sums up the entire Bohemia spirit exuding from its employee be them part of reception, restaurant and bars, to the Spa and even the housekeeping ladies!
