The hotel is in a beautiful setting in Gordes. The food at the restaurant is amazing. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. I wish it was within walking distance to Gordes but the drive was short and easy. I recommend this hotel.

Perfect stay in Gordes

A perfect place to stay to visit the beautiful towns in Provence Luberon area close to Gordes. The hotel is small and charming and has its own restaurant that is popular in the evenings and lunch. The room was spacious and clean. Has a family run feel to it. It is good value for money compared to other hotels nearby. A car or bike is reccomended. Drive to Gordes centre is 5 mins. Try to visit the other villages in the area such as Menerbes, Bonnieaux, Rousillon. Such pretty views!

nice hotel with restaurant

Nice restaurant, although no good for gluten free (my partner is coeliac), either in evening or for breakfast in the morning (the hotel offered to accommodate but she wasn't comfortable taking the risk as she is very sensitive coeliac). We booked for a garden view, which although we didn't get thus our room looked up at gordes which was nice and had a large balcony. The room has a small mini bar style fridge, which was good. The hotel was friendly and unpretentious. The only other thing to note is that other from the fact that the mugs in the room are never washed and the plastic cups are not changed, and check in and checkout are somewhat selfhelp affairs (our room was upstairs with no lift and my left Achilles' tendon hurt on check in so I noticed this), although a porters trolley is helpfully left laying around.

Never again.

The room was adequate. At least two of the staff were inappropriate to the point of being offensive. Argued with us rather than trying to solve a payment problem with us. The other was pushy and condescending. The food....expensive and mediocre. Too bad for a nice hotel in a nice setting.

Lovely small Auberge near Gordes

Hotel is just below Gordes, with easy access to local villages and vineyards. Fantastic restaurant at the hotel, no need to look elsewhere! Extremely picturesque grounds and views.

Excellent stay at Carcarille

We had an excellent stay at Carcarille. The room was new, clean and comfortable. Best of all, it was facing east and we could see sunrise from our bed. Location was perfect to get to all nearby attractions. Will certainly come back.

Great hotel

A group of 4 of us stayed here in June. Positives: - Relaxed, friendly staff - Very good breakfasts - Excellent restaurant for the evening- this was the best place we ate in during our 4-day stay in the area, beating even a Michelin-starred venue - Quiet at night - Good pool area - Great base for exploring the area Downsides (not many): - It is out of town and there are few (if any taxis in the area). It may be walkable during the day but would probably take 45mins at least uphill. This would not be an option in the evening/ night time. Therefore you need a car and a designated driver for the evenings if you are not eating at the hotel. - Bathrooms are clean and functional but a little basic.
