VERY NICE LOCATION, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF GREAT RESTOURANT HIGHLY RECOMENDED

Our stay was a cozy escape in a winter wonderland.

Excellent hotel, fantastic environment, friendly staff, poor internet (but is it really a problem when you are in a park and want to take some distance to the daily busy life?)

In room fireplaces, outdoor hot tub and a cozy lodge make this a great get away in any season.

Be prepared to get away... we enjoyed a couple nights at one of our favorite places. It was cold and so we stayed in our room in front of the fire place after breakfast for quite a while. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a ski in the lake. Know there is no cell service anywhere and wifi only up at the lodge. The food at the lodge is good and there is also a great restaurant not too far away in Field (the Truffle Pig), but you have to take a shuttle to get your car.

I loved the Emerald Lake Lodge, the color of the water alone is enough to send anyone soaring, but to stay in the little cabins (we were upstairs), was even better. We could smell the trees from our balcony, and the fire place was already stacked and ready to be lit, which we did. It was perfectly quant, and the food on the buffet at the lodge was very good for breakfast. We ate dinner at Cilantro, and had desert up at the lodge, the cheesecake was like none I have ever had, delicious and beautifully presented. We could hear a moose in the distance in the night; and kept our balcony door open for the cool air while we slept. It was simple; and yet, perfect for our experience of being so close to such a beautiful lake. We did not use the hot tub, but we walked through the bathhouse and the sauna area near the hot tub. Flowers were gorgeous, and all looked very inviting.

Great views of the lake and away from the. Crowds - very peaceful.

If you want a hotel stay at the Fairmont at Lake Louise. Emerald Lake accommodations are more like a cabin. Fireplace, no internet or tv in the rooms, and you were warned about drinking the water. Bottled water is as plentiful, the grounds were nicely managed. It was beautiful and quiet. Great for hiking. But it's not a hotel and shouldn't be priced as such.

Fireplace is all set up for you with paper and small wood, just light it and have a great fire. Beautiful views of Emerald Lake from balcony.

ELL is a special place, one we always look forward to visiting. We arrived 2/13 for overnight and ELL was crowded with Valentine's guests. The service was not up to standard. 2 came to the parking shuttle, 1 left w/o helping, the other not very organized; Arrived @ front desk and staff attending to dinner reservations instead of letting dining room handle so a line formed and waited. No bellman available to take bags to the room, so we carried ourselves. Waiters left us feeling ignored. Clubhouse now crowded with exercise equipment but 1 locker room not functioning and pat the hot tub was very icey! Next morning was better.

If you are in room numbers starting with 27 -- be prepared for a mini hike with your luggage. The rooms are scattered throughout the area and the hotel staff are happy to help you with your luggage, but if you want your luggage immediately -- you will have to bring it yourself. No Wifi or TV in the rooms. No cell phone coverage either. The fireplace makes it nice and cozy, but most rooms have trees blocking the view to the lake. WiFi is only available in the Hotel Lobby/Restaurant/Game Room. However, it is super slow. There is a TV and a pool table in the Game Room (2nd floor of the lobby).

Quite expensive but worth the dime. The lodge provides delicious breakfast (extra) and has good common areas at the main lodge, including a pool table upstairs. Beautiful lake views from the rooms. Standart rooms are small but sufficient. They are updated. There is a fireplace and it is ready to go with logs and firewood. Balconies are great for views. Very quite.

We were so surprised when we drove to Emerald Lake Lodge. It was easy to find and secluded. When we arrive at the lake the beautiful emerald green was beyond what we saw in Lake Louise. The restaurants served fabulous food. One meal choice was a gnocchi elk salad. There are hiking trails, canoes, paddle boats, etc. to enjoy the beautiful lake. We will return!

We were prepared to be delighted at a great location, that had some great reviews. We didn't dig down far enough. We were not delighted, and were quite disappointed at ANY price point. - There are things you should up front: 1- Parking is approximately 1 mile from Site - You & your luggage will be shuttled to the hotel 2- There is no Cell service anywhere on this property 3- Wireless Internet & TV are only available at the Lodge 4 - There are no alternate choices for dining. The rooms have wood-burning fireplaces. When we opened the door to the building, we noticed an acrid smell of smoke. Not from tobacco, but from previous wood fires, or smoke from another resident in the building. It was so strong in the room, we had to sleep with the windows open. When we arrived, the bell man indicated we should check in, then come back and he would help get the luggage to the room. We we returned, the shuttle was gone, the bellman was gone, and our luggage was on the curb in the rain. We had to carry these bags DOWN to the room and back up in the morning on our own. Lastly- Our complaints were noted at the front desk, but with no action or compensation . They seemed indifferent. I wouldn't stay here again -

Beautiful location, very scenic and the grounds are clean and well maintained.

Greetings, Thank you for leaving us a note regarding your stay. We are pleased you enjoyed your time with us! WiFi is a challenge due to the remote location, and we also want to create an ambiance of getting back to nature. We offer WiFi within the main lodge but not within guest rooms. We hope to see you again soon!
