We arrived in our room to find no towels…none. Not a hand towel, no face cloths, no bath towels. We called down to the bar for towels and we got 2 small towels…that’s it. The floor was very old carpet that I was afraid to put my bare feet on. The bath tub tiles had black mould in the grout up the first 5 rows. We couldn’t use the tub. Fortunately the bed sheets appeared clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. We wouldn't stay here again if you paid us.

Small basic room. Very outdated. The hotel has a beautiful grand staircase and beautiful hallways and doors which needed painting. The free continental breakfast was okay but no staff around if you were needing something. This hotel has amazing potential but a lot is lacking

Pos: Nice room, very quiet on third floor, fridge, nice free breakfast, located near coffee shops and a town square, beaches close by Neg: no elevator, no coffee/hot water machine, no ice, surrounded by construction. Would I return? As a senior probably not. If I were younger? Yes.

Our room was fine, though I can't say it was good. There was evidence of water damage on the roof tiles, and the bathroom tiles had dirty grout, quite a bit of grime build-up in the tub, and some of the tiles were pushing out of the wall, which tells me there have been some significant leaks and water damage there, too. There were three floppy pillows on the bed but we made do. Our room was above the restaurant which was really loud, so I turned the fan on the AC unit to muffle it a bit and get some sleep. If I were a fussy person it definitely would have not worked. The location is excellent, though, even though the road was ripped up for a watermain replacement (municipal upgrades are definitely outside the responsibility of the hotel itself, but some communication about access would have been helpful).

There are no staff at the counter if you want anything. You have to go to the bar next door and they call someone to come from somewhere else. We had no remote or toilet paper in our room. We had 3 rooms and all had black mold in the bathroom

Not good

Construction on the road made it unclear how to even get into the building. Sign in the lobby said "check in at the bar" (!). Room is filthy - mold on the ceiling, stained walls, and hair that does not belong to me. Breakfast starts at 8:30 am, which makes no sense for business travelers. Air conditioning smells of must. Overall really poor experience for this frequent business traveler.

Being fenced in due to construction, hotel was very very dated. The carpet was old and smelled old. Room was clean. We arrived an hour or two prior to check in and was told the room was ready. We climbed the stairs as there was no elevator, only to find that the room was not ready. We stood in the corridor for about 20 minutes until the room was ready. Would not stay there again.
