Been here during monsoon. Enjoyed the stay at this resort. The ambiance is lovely, so was the hospitality at the resort. This trip with friends is one of the most memorable one's I had during my trips to Goa.
We visited Laguna Anjuna Hotel for 2 nights in February 2017. The room is clean enough for a budget hotel, the whole Hotel area seemed a bit like a tropical jungle, that was cool. The breakfast menu is ok. Average. The staff is very friendly. I fell ill and had to go to hospital and couldn´t take the breakfast what we paid for one morning, and the chef prepared something for me some hours later for free. Later they asked if I am fine. All in all we would come again.
I stayed at the Hotel because I was in Goa for a music festival and this was one of the closer places to stay. The property is really nice but could do with some TLC. The pool looked a bit green and the food is at most mediocre. The staff is very helpful and cordial. I'd stay here if it was because of the location. The rooms are super spacious and have a really nice vibe but need some general upgrades. The hotel is nice and quiet away from the hordes of crowds in Anjuna in general.
Our 3 night stay here in Dec was very enjoyable. The hotel is peaceful and situated in a beautiful location. With lush vegetation - which for Anjuna, which is actually very crowded & dirty these days, made a welcome relief. The rooms are huge with a bohemian sophistication (but with fridge, tv, fan & aircon). The guy playing the piano in the evening added a lovely touch too. The restaurant was a bit pricey but produced beautifully cooked food - well worth a visit, even if you're not staying here. A couple of negatives: The pool could do with bit of an overhaul - still nice to have though! I felt the staff were too relaxed & dare I say lazy.... they jumped to attention when the owner was about, but they seemed to have far too much time to sit around chatting to each other rather than picking up bits of rubbish etc & improving the area around themselves. Overall, a really enjoyable stay & I would return if in the area again.
I stayed at Laguna Anjuna between 25/12/2016 to 27/12/2016. The property was quite beautiful, for those who like quaint places. It consists of cottages which are divided into rooms. The staff was quite friendly. I happened to meet the owner too, who was extremely nice too. I think I'd stayed in room no. 101, I don't remember exactly. The room was great, I'd stayed alongwith my parents. The room was incredibly spacious. It was divided into two rooms, which worked perfectly for me. Lots of space in both rooms. The jarring note in this was that the rooms did not have too many plug points. The switch boards seemed from like 30 years ago. I felt they need to redo the interiors of the rooms if they intend to make a solid impression on guests. The bathroom too, it had a tub, which was great. Just the layout seemed of, as I said earlier, 30 years ago. Breakfast was adequate, but they can do with improvement on their menu, adding a few more options (Indian cuisine). Disappointing was the state of the pool, they need to get it functional. It's pretty large, it was such a waste to see it not maintained properly. The whole property, it pains me to say this because of the nice staff, needs to really get some proper maintenance done. They need to try & get some more sunlight into the rooms.
It seemed a bit off from the centre but if you are going to be in that area, Anjuna, it's ok I guess. The property looks massive, with some really old trees. The architecture is interesting, our room was like the hollow of the trunk. It was cylindrical! Food wasn't bad, the staff were ok. They need to do something about the reception, it looks like it's for a cheap lodge, there's a chair and a table with unkempt guys, not properly attired for a hotel, you can see their bed through the curtain that divides the room that passes for the reception area. This is the face of the hotel, the least you can do is employ some decently dressed professional looking staff, give them a proper room so you feel assured.
We booked this place for a group of 8 friends. While the rooms are rustic and setting is good, service was a major issue. Rooms were not cleaned everyday, bathroom taps were leaking, and the air conditioner stopped working. I had to fix the a/c myself as the handy man just said that it has iced and walked away. Restaurant closes at 1030 pm and not even water is provided after that. Breakfast options are limited and it is better to eat outside as service is very slow and laid back. When ordering food (room service) tissues and cutlery was not provided and had to be asked for multiple times. Also order took long time and we had to go to the kitchen to expedite the same. If you are looking for a place to just lay down in the night then this will work, but if you are looking for a comfortable stay I will not recommend this. Saving grace is that the beach is nearby walking distanxe.
It's a beautiful piece of property with labyrinthine routes and lush green surroundings. The rooms are big, and quite nice. I especially liked the size of the bathrooms, and the giant stone tub (which you can't use). It's not a stone's throw away from the beach, but not very far either. For me the biggest plus is the fact that pets are allowed, and con is that breakfast was below average -- very few options, and what seemed to be old food they needed to finish off. The management is occasionally warm but mostly aloof, which isn't always a bad thing. Overall, it's was an above average experience in a beautiful resort.
Decent place to stay with family... Breakfast buffet can be improved. The swimming pool and the pool table needs better maintainence.. Good hospitality.. Mr. Felix was kind enough guide the way around...
Myself and my wife , we stayed at the Laguna Anjuna for 2 Days the resort is designed very well although a little unkempt and untidy (maintenance equipment and materials lying around , roofs needing Tending and a few repairs , but with all this the Ambiance is definitely impressive, the Service is good ,Room interior , rustic (Going with the theme) but clean and well maintained, food is excellent, a must try if you desire a calm and quiet holiday in lush green surroundings.
