the view of this hotel was incredible, straight to the beach.. this hotel really great. i’d loved to come again next trip next time. maybe taking honeymoon and dinner would be great!! nice service and nice places.
Really nice hotel, with lovely rooms (stayed in a bungalow room) and stunning facilities including three restaurants, a spa and a 47m pool with swim up bar. It's situated right on the beach and is home to the famous Datu Swing. The staff were always very welcoming, helpful and friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble to organise or arrange.. They generally had a high level of English. Stayed in low season, so can't comment on what the place is like when it is busy. My only two annoyances were that the service in the restaurants was generally slow, and staff could be quite unattentive. This was something I bought to the attention of the management and was reassured that it would be resolved. The other thing was that I came to the conclusion that the facilities were not exclusively for hotel guests, as you might expect when you pay good money for a luxury hotel. I say this as the pool and beach would be quiet in the morning, become busy during the afternoon and sunset, but then the restaurants would be virtually empty past 7pm. The biggest annoyance with this is the sun loungers would all be taken and the pool bar would be heaving. These guests would all generally be backpackers being overly loud and obnoxious, particularly towards staff. Overall though it was a gorgeous hotel with generally good service, so I will definitely be back in future!
Gili T is well worth the effort from Bali and is just a little more Robinson Crusoe. Ombak Sunset is on the quiet side of the island but in my opinion the best side with perfect sunsets and great beach vibes from around 4pm onwards as the island residents gather to view the setting sun over Bali. The hotel is perfectly clean, very friendly staff my only complaint would be the breakfast selection which is medioca at best.
We spent 4 nights here as part of our honeymoon. The location is stunning and on the quieter side of the island (although still very easy to get over to the 'busier' side where the port is. the room was spacious and clean, although very dark, with only a couple of dim lights in it. Comfortable bed. Average breakfast. The pool area is nice, but busy.
We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. We got upgrade from deluxe terrace to island bungalows 😁 The available transportations are cidomo (horse cart), bicycles (can be rented at Rp75k per day at the hotel), or by walk. It's quite far (abt 2km) from the central. Prepare yourself with a pair of sunglasses and hat! Oh, and don't forget to apply the sunblock because we did forget and the sunburn is really painful.
Very upset to this hotel with a bad services, dirty resturant and room, and the worst is about food. Wifi was so bad. And mosquito in the room. I make a wrong choice for corporate group with a gala dinner. Very bad workers and equipment (sound system, lighting, food again, etc.)
This resort is big, looks like one of the biggest on the island. It has beautiful sunsets a nice pool and pool bar. The food is average but not bad and the room are really nice. It a great price for the space and room you get. The bikes do fall apart and the location is far from the main area. The only issue being far away from the town is when you want to leave. it took an hr to get a horse cart to the boat.
We have recently returned from here after attending a wedding, we had 15 rooms booked between us with faulty air con , my nephew had paid for a upgrade on his room as he had 2 small babies , his air con wasn't working so asked for it to be repaired or moved to another room , they moved him late at night after the babies were asleep to a room that was at a lower price that he paid for , he asked for a refund as this room was £50 a night cheaper than what he paid , they refused saying that now he had a sea view , you have to pay when you check in so my advice would be to inspect your room first, he never did get his refund of £200'
We stayed here for a week in August and had a fantastic time. As we were staying for a week, they offered us 10% off all of our food and a complimentary meal. The check in process was quick and as we had arrived earlier that the check in time, we went to the restaurant for a meal while they prepared our room. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the let us check in as soon as the room was ready at 12pm. The room itself was nice - set in the beautiful ground with lots of trees and flowers. We were on the deluxe terrace and had some very noisy, but friendly, cats who liked to hang around outside our room. Along with the lizards and the occasional frog, the kids had a great time spotting all of the wildlife! The hotel looks a bit dated in parts but all in all we had a wonderful holiday. It is on the quiet side of the island so we either took a horse and carriage, rode bikes or walked around to different locations depending on the distance. The pool was great although beware of getting splinters from the wood around the pool! The wifi was good in the main areas (restaurant, pool, lobby) but didn't really work in the rooms. Breakfast was good with a large selection of everything and a good mix of different choices, On our last night we used our complimentary meal and they provided an amazing Indonesian meal on the beach. It was delicious and even the kids really enjoyed it despite their fussiness. We would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxed break.
Oveepriced hotel with expensive beer and food, terrible air con. Pool is ok. At least it is on the quiet side of the island but then you are very isolated hard to get anywhere otger than the crappy restaurant
