We got a very good deal at this hotel. Novotel is always a safe ball on regions you are not acquainted - it's clean, good service, good rooms, very good breakfast ... you know what to expect. For the price we paied (on a special promo) it was all worthy. Location is great - only 18 euros from the airport AND the train station. And a 1,50 euro bus takes you to the top attraction in town: the Acquarium. We staied only 1 night though - had to move forward on our trip. We got an error on our bill. Fortunately, I checked it before it was too late, and after while the manager was able to correct it and refund my card (already charged!). When I told him that the amount charged was going to tax me (my country's laws!) regardless of the refund, he freed me from paying the local turistic take - more or less the same amount - so it all ended up well.
Very good position to visit beauties of Liguria. Breakfast fine - healthy and various; Rooms - good conditions, especially beds; WiFi - one password everywhere, but low speed; Check-in/check-out - fast and helpful; Parking - private and safety, but 14,50 Euro/night.
This hotel is situated a short distance from the old port and city (nice walk for the day) reception staff very friendly and very capable of understanding our terrible attempt at Italian. Rooms quiet, clean and very comfortable bed. Dined in the restaurant on a Sunday night it was quiet, but the food and service was first class the seafood spaghetti was excellent we were attended to by Andrea(male) his attention and assistance was great and very professional
Rooms are clean but extremely noisy due to a poor window insulation. Was impossible to get sleep. You have the feeling to sleep in the middle of the traffic. Avoid it. Reception staff however very friendly.
The area is quite dreary, no shops or restaurants or other services. The rooms were fine and the cleaning was good. Unfortunately, though quite warm, the pool facilities were closed. Breakfast is plentiful but a waitress did not let me fill in a plastic bottle of less than half a liter of water ! Unbelievable and unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. To my knowledge, even in youth hostels water is not refused. The second couch-bed had such a thin, soft matress that I plunged into it, though Im not a heavy guy. So, one of us had to sleep uncomfortably. Also windows are sealed and if you don't like air condition....good luck !
An excellent location, a short bus ride from the city. The hotel staff were most helpful. An enjoyable evening meal and very good breakfast. Secure parking and a comfortable room.We had stayed here 10 years ago and it was as good as we had remembered.Last time we had a fantastic view of the harHour and city. We plan to return.
Stayed for three night in May with my partner and 2 children aged 8 & 4 years. We stayed in a family room on the ninth floor. Check-in and check out processes were both very quick. The hotel does have a luggage room if you arrive early. The dining room is a good sized, we payed for breakfast inclusive which was buffet style - there was a good selection of food on offer, all very fresh and constantly replenished by staff. The room itself was a fair size, in general the room was well equipped and clean. There is a small minibar/fridge but this is over priced, we emptied this out and put our own drinks etc in. The plug on our bath was unfortunately broken and our four year old managed to find what appeared to be an old 'snack cheese' whilst playing under the bed on our last morning! On arrival we were told the pool wasn't open as it was too cold....the children were very disappointed by this as it had been the main reason for booking this particular hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and were able to help with queries. They were also able to call us an airport taxi which took approx. five minutes to arrive. These cannot be pre-booked.
Stayed here a night while on our visit to Cinque Terre. Confortable and hotel has a Parking in the basement for an additional charge. Breakfast is standard Novotel range, the usual chocolate croissant, croissant, ham, scrambled eggs etc.
Hotel has got his age...you can see it and sometimes smell it... All of this minor problems are always covered by smile and professionalism of front office staff. Able to deal with all kind of client what I was witness of. Even with hotel almost fully boked, they always kept smile on their face and friendly manor. Thank you for being so professionals, Your Sincerely Tobias
I have visited this hotel with my family and friends. The selection of this hotel was based on Novotel experience in other countries. I must admit, that knowing the brand, I was expecting more. The location of hotel in close to harbor in area with not much opportunities to have a walk in a nice place, area is busy with traffic. The view from hotel in not at all interesting, looking into industrial areas and house on one side and part of harbour with administration areas on other side. The good think is, that despite the location, hotel is having own underground parking (but well paid...). Rooms are just standard, nothing else nothing more. In my room, I found handkerchief bellow sofa so I was not happy with cleaning service (this was only issue I found). Windows are possible to open, but you must ask on reception, aircondition is not much effective. Hotel restaurant opens at 19:00 so you can get only snack on bar in meanwhile, this was very dissapointing after long trip. There is free internet. Staff was helpfull and service minded. The hotel prices were not reflecting the quality. I am not sure if I will choose this hotel again, it's just average.
