We stayed 2 nights. Very quiet, friendly employees, big room and a nice fitness centre. Indoor parking for only 20€ under the hotel! Missing a swimming pool tough. Location is the best: seaview from the rooms, all sightseeing spots in walking distance.

Perfect location in Poto Antico, close to everything. Verye nice room with balcony and harbour/sea view. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. I can definitely recommend this NH Marina hotel in Porto Antico.

Stayed at the hotel for three nights in July. The cons outweigh the pros in this case. Pros... Good buffet breakfast Nice view of the marina and ideal location for exploring Genoa. Now on to the CONS: 1. Foreigners are told their rooms are not ready until after 3:00 pm Italian nationals checking in are given their rooms immediately regardless of the hour. I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 and had to wait while three Italians breezed right in and were given their keys on the spot. 2. Rooms are deceiving. They look NOTHING like the pictures on the website. They are small, cramped and have old and dirty fixtures. We waited two hours for our room and it was dirty when we entered. No space to turn around when two people are sharing it. The bathroom was not renovated and had an old and dingy tub. Requested a larger room but was told they didn't exist for twin beds. The website lists larger twin rooms but it is fraudulent advertising. 3.The hotel is very noisy and does nothing when guests make noise above you. We complained about noisy guests above us and the noise continued for two hours at night. You can also hear the hallway noise as well. Think about another property in Genoa if you value your sleep and want ample space.

Great location directly on a pier with three sides facing the waterfront, parking available for 10€ per night and clean rooms. Breakfast is also quite good, nice selection of fruits, cereals, juices etc.

We stayed at NH Marina for a few nights and would definitely recommend. Our room was very clean, the bed was huge and the view from the balcony was lovely! Location was great for the port and walking to the old town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our favourite part was the bar and restaurant. Each night we enjoyed an aperitif on the terrace by the harbour. Food was excellent and breakfast was a really good selection.

Strategic place to visit Genova center and the aquarium. Design rooms, calm and refreshing place in a noisy town. For the breakfast, it offers a large choice of products but unfortunately not slow food essentially industrial products. Dolphins swimming pool is near the hotel and offer a charming spectacle.

Good location. Room a bit small. Breakfast was ok but service staff were too busy talking to each other and bot paying attention to guests. No iron in room. Must go to a tiny room not pratical in my opinion.

Visited Genoa for the first time at the end of June and the trip began with being delighted with the hotel we had chosen. Absolutely wonderful location, right in the hub of the redeveloped marina area and a great welcome by the reception staff. Very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Rooms quite spacious for Italy with lovely bathroom and balcony with views of the marina, so always something to look at! Breakfast served al fresco if required really good, plenty of choice and quality. Plenty of restaurants, street entertainment, tourist train, galleon, aquarium, etc on your doorstep - easily the best place to stay for your city break to Genoa.

I went to Genoa on a business trip, with my wife accompanying me, and once my work engagements were over we were to commence our vacation, touring the Italian coast and mountains. From the time we checked in all of the NH Hotel, the staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The hotel itself is a little bit tired, but meticulously clean. However the level of service we received more than made up for this minor observation. The restaurant staff had a good knowledge of the menu and wine list and were only too pleased to make suggestion for food and drinks, all which were spot on and got us in the mood for our upcoming holiday. In fact I was that impressed that I joined the NH loyalty program, and will use the group on my regular business trips around the world. That said I highly recommend NH Hotel as a base for a business trip, where you do not have to venture further than the hotels front door, and are to be picked up or dropped off by local transport, I make this comment due to the constant harassment my wife and I suffered from the gangs of men who were roaming around the hotel car park and marina area, every time we ventured outside the hotel door, this is why I will not be back to this hotel for a vacation. The aggressive way these men targeted couples especially those with children to give them “Free” bracelets, while their colleagues eyed up their watches and bags as their “Targets” were distracted was scary. Another ploy I observed, is that the men wait at the car park barrier, and as you pull up, they take the ticket and then want to guide you to a parking place, where they demand payment for the unwanted service. As I had witnessed this prior to hiring my car, I pulled up as closes as I could to prevent the waiting man from doing this, unfortunately the machine was not giving out tickets as due to it being the weekend the car park was only available to hotel guests, as I pressed the button to talk to the hotel staff and gain entrance, a man tried to lean into my window, I politely asked him to go away, but he blatantly continued to look inside my vehicle for valuables, (My watch was in my pocket!) When he realized there was nothing to take, he used some very old English Anglo Saxon language to tell me what to do with myself, the whole experience was extremely intimidating. I realize that the presence of these gangs of men is not the NH hotels fault, because there was a heavy police presence that afternoon, which made the gangs of men hide around the corner. But as soon as the police left the gangs returned with a vengeance. So unfortunately I will not be returning here for leisure.

In this authentic hotel, build in 2000, one can enjoy an amazing view on the marina bay. During breakfast, one is a close as possible to the beautiful bay and its extravagant yachts. But is my humble opinion, it isn't the view, nor the city that stands out. It is the ever so kind staff. The staff was for sure living up to the NH standard, and even though we were used to this kind of willingness, the staff exceeded every expectation on all levels. For example, after my uncle hit his head at arrival, by hitting a glass door, they put duct tape on the glass to prevent any other accidents. There is only one minor issue, the beds make some noise, but that is to be dismissed. Oskar Hage and Family
