Not an area you want to be walking around at night. No other hotels nearby. Sorry residential area. Quite a walk to get to the shore area with a few restaurants. Stayed for 2 nights then moved to a hotel in the heart of action. Nice to have a market behind the hotel to get waters, etc. Food in hotel restaurant was decent if you had no other options. WiFi was horrendous/non-existent.
I really wanted a hotel closer to the city center but since we booked at the last minute this was our only choice. The hotel doesn't seem to be in the best neighborhood. The room was better than expected after seeing the outside of the hotel. We had a jr suite and it was plenty large. The bathroom was very nice and clean. Room air conditioning was lovely. Mini bar was included in our stay. Overall I would have preferred a different location but the helpful front desk staff instructed us on the bus service and gave us a nap to the aquarium. So we were thankful for that.
This is an average overpriced hotel. We only stayed for a night before heading to Tuscany, the room was nicely sized and clean. It didn't have any view. Unfortunately it was very very very noisy. There was no parking available so we had to leave the car on the street (on our own responsibility). Not centrally located. The overall experience was ok however I was not very pleased with the front desk stuff who seemed to have a bit of an attitude.
This is a modest but good hotel. Pros: Clean. Helpful staff. Especially want to recognize Giorgio who served my colleagues and I dinner nearly every night. Also Coralba at the front desk. She was very helpful with planning sightseeing and at other times. Also Valentina at the desk. Be sure to go to the terrace on floor 6 for a nice view. Walk through the gym to get outside. Cons: The room was hot even with thermostat set low. You can open the window but then the street noise is overwhelming. Food in the restaurant and lobby bar was ok, a bit disappointing for Italy, Extremely irritating that there is a 3 Euro cover charge in the restaurant. I'm paying to stay at the hotel, I'm paying for the food and then I also have to pay for the privilege of eating there? There are lights behind the front desk. It is extremely irritating because when you are trying to talk to someone at the desk the light behind them prevents you from seeing their face. Please, change the lights so we can see your excellent staff!
We stayed here on our way back into France. For those expecting an in-town hotel, this is not it. The hotel is in the highway, commercial area, somewhat difficult to find without GPS. The hotel differs from other AC hotels in that it is does not have that modern airy feel. Although the staff are extraordinarily helpful and friendly, this hotel is great for a night. Then again, Genoa is a worthwhile city and from what we saw there are few worthwhile hotels.
Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Bus station just out front of hotel-15 minutes to city center. Underground secure parking is 15 €. For Marriott members buffet breakfast 9€. Very friendly and helpful staff. Speak very good English.
it was a really good experience, nice people nice hotel, fitness "room" was to small but ok i think we will come back again because this side of genova is brilliant.. the centre is little more creepy a lot of pooe people, really sad...
A lovely Hotel made even lovelier by its Staff who truly are the reason this hotel is great. Not overly friendly but a very warm and welcoming feeling. From the Housekeeping staff to the front desk all are exceptionally good and hard working. There is a young lady at the bar who can occasionally get stressed and be a tad stand offish when the bar is busy. What prevents this Hotel from getting a 5 raiting is the infrastructure and furnishings in the room. There are only two English Channels on TV. BBC and CNN. The bed is a spring bed where the springs on both sides of the bed are sagging and one could roll off the bed slowly. In the winter the aircon does not work. The room can get quite stuffy and one must open the windows which can be a tad noisy. There is a need for the housekeeping staff to be supervised to ensure that dusting is done specially under the sink which is quite a neglected area.
Good but not very good. Lost half a point because of the location. The main road is very noisy and ac is ineffective, thus not great sleeping. Tidy and clean, friendly staff and food is ok. Italy never does a proper breakfast but coffee and cakes are good here. Good pizza joint over the road.
Hotel looks nice, and modern furnished. The rooms are noisy as next to huge road. The water pressure in the shower was very low, almost impossible to take a shower. Hotel staff could be more friendly, thry communicte with one words.
