PERFECTION!!
Not only was the cabin amazing, but Virginia is as well! She was very responsive and also had great suggestions on what to do in the area. The cabin is perfectly located halfway between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge -- less than 30 minutes to either place. It's beautifully decorated, beds are super comfy, and has everything you need, including games and books. If you are a birder, bring your binoculars as we spotted and heard many birds. We plan on coming back to the area and will definitely be staying here again.

Property was perfect for our family! Clean, nicely decorated and supplied, good location to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and grocery stores. Hot tub was clean and cozy at night. Saw quite a few bears one was able to get our car door open before we got the keys to lock it! We scared it away and it left peacefully, but definitely had to be aware of our surroundings coming and going to the cabin. It was a perfect weekend getaway, would definitely stay again!

Another wonderful vacation
We've enjoyed staying at Jackalopia for the past 4 years now! Every year we love the relaxing cabin. It's in such a great location, out of the busy areas of Gatlinburg, but close enough for a short drive to the GSM park, downtown Gatlinburg, and even Dollywood! Our family loves hanging out in the hot tub, playing arcade games, and just chilling out at the cabin.

Host and cabin are great, the drive not so much.
I will start by saying, nothing was hidden about this drive being on the mountain. Just know that if you get nervous with roads that seem to only fit 1 vehicle, tight turns, and blind spots then just take this warning and hopefully you can be the passenger and not the driver. The host Virginia was super kind and communicated everything we needed and more. The cabin is beautiful and had great decor that went with the theme of the cabin. My 5 year old seemed to enjoy the 40 stairs from the grill area up to the main living space, my knees not so much. This was my kids first vacation and we made a lot of great memories on this trip. Booking this cabin left us with nothing but happiness. We will have to return for a chance to see the bears that others have seen on the property.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. It looked exactly like the picture. The host was very responsive. It did get a little cold in the cabin , felt like air was blowing out of the vents instead of heat but my overall stay was excellent I will definitely visit again.

Would recommend
Virginia’s place was clean and well maintained. The decor was beautiful and honestly, the pictures do not do this beautiful property justice. It’s the little things that make a difference for me. It’s the first rental I’ve been in in a while that had a floor length mirror. Well stocked kitchen with clean cookware- no flakey teflon! That’s a huge plus! Virginia is very thorough and wants to make sure you have a great time at her rental. Would definitely recommend. However, I feel like her requesting a copy of my ID outside of VRBO was a little unnecessary just because of security reasons.

A Perfect Mountain Escape in Gatlinburg, Tennessee!
Our recent stay at this Gatlinburg cabin was nothing short of incredible! Virginia, the owner, made sure every detail was perfect, starting with the spotlessly clean and cozy cabin boasting breathtaking views.
Virginia's communication was exceptional, starting five months before our stay to prepare us for the forecasted winter weather. Her proactive updates continued throughout our stay, from allowing an early check-in to informing us about the well-sanitized and warm hot tub.
The game room on the bottom floor was a highlight, featuring a fantastic pool table and an arcade machine that provided endless entertainment. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evenings in the cabin.
The cabin's prime location made it easy to access Gatlinburg's attractions, and Virginia's thoughtful touches, like hotel-sized toiletries and a well-stocked kitchen, made our stay even more enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend this cabin for an unforgettable mountain escape. We can't wait to return!

Perfect Stay. Will return!
This was the ideal combination of secluded but yet not too far from Gatlinburg downtown. Its an easy climb up. You really dont need a 4x4. I got ubereats to deliver one night when it was raining hard, but there was no problem with the delivery.
The cottage itself is very cozy, with everything you need. We had a great time in the hot tub, played pool and also cooked dinner during our stay. Enough beds for 6. The view from the hottub is breathtaking. We even saw a bear walk by trying to check out the trash cans. All smart TVs through out the house made it very easy for kids to watch their own shows.
The owner was very responsive throughout. We had trouble with the lock upon getting there. But this was resolved quickly.
Overall, I would return to this cabin. This was a memorable family trip.

Best decorated and clean cabin we’ve stayed in . Top notch appliances. Only negative is our check in code did not work upon arrival and we had to make phone call to rectify but it was handled quickly. We loved the privacy never stayed in this area before. Little out of town and crooked steep road to cabin but definitely worth it! Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful Winter Views
This cabin is first class and the views are awesome. We rolled the dice and stayed here in the winter and had the unfortunate outcome of record lows that interrupted travel and froze many water lines in the area. Despite that we thoroughly enjoyed this cabin and commend the owner for being a most gracious host.
