Exceptional! Was looking for a quiet place to round out our busy vacation in the mountains and The Electric Peak Retreat was perfect. This lovely home had everything we needed: fully stocked kitchen, laundry, wonderfully comfortable beds, and a peaceful view of the meandering Yellowstone River from just about every room in the house. We had a fantastic stay!

Great

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. Great location Every room has windows overlooking the river and mountains where we saw elk everyday. The house was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Everything we needed was there. We were concerned at first that it is off the main road but it was a non issue.

River House

A family trip we are all really looking forward to after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures yet the reality still exceeded expectations! Beautiful thought out home with lots of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The volume of wildlife incredible. Herds of over 200 elk, bald eagles, red fox, etc.

Beautiful, well-appointed home in Gardiner

Loved our stay in this well-appointed home and grounds just north of Gardiner town center with near access to Yellowstone National Park. Stunning views from all rooms. Excellent kitchen and accoutrements, comfortable beds with nice linens, no clutter, excellent laundry, wonderful games and cozy spaces for children. Spotless. Hope to stay again. Many thanks.

Family vacation.

The home and surrounding area was beautiful. Private and quiet yet close enough to town for anything we needed. Very convenient location to visit Yellowstone and Chico hot springs. We enjoyed our first time in Montana.

Home Away From Home!

This home was everything we could have asked for AND more! The location was very convenient for our daily trips into YNP. The home was spacious, clean and offered many extras for our stay. The beds and linens were comfy, each room had ample space for our belongings for the week, board games for down time, a large dining table, stocked kitchen and our favorite feature …. a short path down to the Yellowstone River for swimming, fishing and relaxing on the beach. Immaculate views of Electric Peak, surrounding mountains and lots of wildlife - bald eagle and elk sightings daily made the trip extra special. It was an easy to drive to the park, dining options, rafting and the Yellowstone Hot Springs. I could not recommend this home more. Sandy has put a lot of extra special touches into this home. Do not pass up this gem on the Yellowstone.

Wonderful for families!

We were a larger family group (grandparents, adults and young children) and we felt very comfortable in the home. Plenty of space, clean and comfortable and the views are even more beautiful than the pictures can show. We spent a ton of time on the porch watching the river and Mountain views. Very close to north entrance of Yellowstone and just a few minutes to a small, but well-stocked grocery store down the street. We grilled and cooked our meals in the home. Fenced in yard was great for littles and lots of thoughtful details in the home for kids (pack’n play, books, cute stuffed animals and etc.). The host was always very responsive and we had no issues at all with the home. I would stay here again and recommend Sandy’s place to everyone!

We didn’t want to leave

Our group of 6 college friends had a fabulous 4 night stay. The property is beautiful with amazing views all around. It is a perfect base to access the Yellowstone through the north entrance. It had everything we needed to rest, cook and enjoy ourselves while enjoying the views and wildlife. I will definitely book this property next time I return to Yellowstone.

Perfect Yellowstone Stay

We had the most wonderful stay at Sandy’s Electric Peak Retreat! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere. The home is so comfortable and well appointed, everything we needed and more! Very private, yet close to everything you need. Conveniently located just a short drive to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone, perfect for all the stops we wanted to make in the park. Sandy had great recommendations for local excursions, many of which we did and they all exceeded our expectations! Our family visited in mid-June, which was just right for our kid’s first whitewater rafting trip with Flying Pig Adventures right down the road. They did an amazing job! Also, wildlife viewing in the park was incredible during our tour with Yellowstone Wild. At the house, we saw elk every day! She has a great spotting scope set up too. We watched bald eagles, fox, deer, and geese right from the living room. Sandy was available and easy to communicate with, an amazing host! When we return to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Sandy and stay at her little slice of heaven!

Beautiful Space & Gracious Host

Such a beautiful space and location, and only minutes from the north entrance of Yellowstone. Breathtaking views from the home. Elk herds made their way down from the mountains each night, making the spotting scope that was in the home invaluable. We had the time of our lives!

Awesome propertyy

This house has a great location (5 minutes to pick up groceries at Gardiner Market and 10 minutes to the park entrance). There are many amenities like a couple of nice coolers for packing lunches, very well stocked kitchen, and a great backyard view (saw about 25 elk in the backyard on one evening). The WiFi was better than I expected (not perfect but not a deal breaker). I highly recommend this house if you’re coming to Yellowstone vacation.

Location and comfort

Electric Peak Retreat has it all. The home was so well equipped; the beds were incredibly comfortable; the views were amazing; the location to the quaint town of Gardiner was very convenient. Our family of 6 adults and one infant had more than enough room to spread out or gather together.

Incredible View

Owner is amazing. She checked in to make sure we got in with no problems and checked in part way through the week. The house is beautiful. It was great for our family of 7. Especially our kids (ages 8,6,4,2,1) the backyard is fenced in and there was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy being there. Only a few minutes to Yellowstone or just to go to town. We saw wildlife every day we were there with two days the elk staying in the backyard. Incredible place to stay. Can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful

Loved everything about the house. Downstairs was a little cold, but it’s Montana in February! Warmed up nicely once we could get a fire going. Fun to watch the coyotes and elk across the river every morning. Hope to come back!

Shhhhhhh- Our Little Secret!

BEST VRBO EXPERIENCE EVER. The pictures do not do it justice. This little slice of heaven has it all: location, comfort + luxury, helpful and responsive hosts, and every amenity you can ask for. I am ready to move in and take up residence :) This home has a well-provisioned kitchen, and we enjoyed making meals gathered around the island. The bedrooms are comfortable. The living room is perfectly appointed and conducive to hanging out and reliving the day's adventures around the wood-burning fire. Not to mention the fabulous views and waking up to the sight of wildlife strolling along the river. I cannot wait to come back!!!

Wonderful Little Getaway

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights to relax and go through the Park. This house was so perfect to do both. We really enjoyed our stay and were able to relax and enjoy the views. We definitely will come back. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home!

Gorgeous scenic vacation home
