Our room was on the lower floor, adjacent to the pool that was filled with screaming children and yelling adults. The extremely cheap propane BBQ was placed in the patio (or on the balcony, for upper floors), underneath the flammable overhang above...a fire waiting to happen. Everything about the place reeked of cheapness. The owners are absentee landlords who use a lousy property management company, which failed to communicate important access information to us prior to our trip, apparently assuming that this was our only destination after leaving home. Loose tile in the bathroom. Noisy people in the hallways and neighboring rooms. Orders to remove all trash were not accompanied by where it put it! (It was a very long distance from our room, in a non-obvious place.) Concerns sent by email to the owner received minimal responses, and the property management company was unreachable. The nearby National Wildlfe Reserve (actually in Idaho, at the north end of Bear Lake) was excellent. Bear Lake being a regional boating tourist location had surprisingly few decent places to eat; the one "large" food market was rather limited.

The condo was clean, comfortable, and just as described. It is right next to the pool with happy children playing, but was quiet by 10 pm. All beach extras were available. The only thing we could have used was one extra roll of bathroom tissue (the one provided almost got us through the weekend).
