The good: - The receptionists were very friendly and spoke English well - The rooms were comfortable and clean - The grounds were pretty, particularly the pool area. - If you search hard there are several nice restaurants around the hotel (we particularly enjoyed Le Marcellino, an Italian restaurant 5 minutes walk from the hotel). - There's a McDonalds two minutes from the hotel which does a good range of ice cream options when it's hot. The bad: - On the day we arrived, we went down to the pool. It was green with a layer of black sludge on the bottom- very uninviting, we didn't fancy swimming in it! When we went down again on subsequent days it was back to 'normal' pool colour, and was great for swimming. - The dinner was expensive (we ate out every day). - It is quite a walk into Nimes, about 35 minutes. It's made worse by the busy dual carriageways around the hotel which are difficult to cross. - The hotel is located within a commercial area. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a cheap base for a couple of days to explore the Nimes area, as long as you don't mind walking!
This was the perfect place to stop and spend the night on our way from Vance to Bordeaux. Room was very efficient. No bed lamps so no reading at night unless you have a miners light!! Breakfast was an extra 10 Euro's per person and it was one of the best hotel breakfast meals we have had on our stay. Nothing fancy but it definitely works for anyone. Staff were very helpful.
I've been in this hotel for a competition, the breakfast and the dinner weren't so good, I did dinner always in other places. The location isn't good, there are only hotels and there wasn't any restaurant.
This hotel appears to have been renovated fairly recently. My room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large, brightly lit and well equipped, with plenty of towells. The only thing I can criticise is the convectot heater that was missing one leg, so it had to be propped against the wall. The environnment was calm and relaxing. I would certainly consider this hotel on a future visit.
I spent one night at Nimotel. I forgot my luggage and I left the hotel without it. All the staff and in particular Mrs Marine has been very helpful and supportive for sending it back home. I really have really appreciated their support. Furthermore I had my dinner at the restaurant; food was very nice, resonable price and the staff great. A very nice spot in France, full of nice people and deep humanity.
First, this hotel would have been impossible to find without satnav. It is situated in the commercial zone of Nimes, with nothing interesting within walking distance. Its only attribute is that it is fairly close to Nimes airport.
we had a nice room with good silent airco. Pitty that de coffee and tea supply where poorly, just one coffee regular and one decaf, one normal tea and one mint. Its just al little effort more to put two of each down. Would score points for me. No shade at the swimmingpool and the alu stair to climb out got to hot to handle without burning your hands. Put some umbrella´s there and some rubber grips over the stairreling. Breakfast dont do it. Everything is there but without any love or support. Better go to the mac Donalds cafe for fresh coffee and croissants. Delicious and just 200 meters walk.
We stayed one night as we travelled from the Netherlands to Spain at the Nimotel. We decided on the Nimotel primarily for its location close to the Tollway. On arrival we were warmly greeted at reception, asked if we would be having breakfast the next day and also that their Restaurant would be opening for dinner soon. Our room was on the fourth floor, was very clean with a very comfortable bed and very quiet. The motel also offers very good free wifi. We decided to dine in and were not disappointed. The service and delivery of the food was excellent. My wife ordered the Duck Breast and I ordered the Grilled Steak, both were cooked well and tasted great. Overall, our stay at the the Nimotel was perfect for one night, good location, service and restaurant.
The hotel is a bit old fashioned , but beddings and towals are OK , bath is clean , WI-FI fast and free . The rooms are very quiet , blackouts in windows can separate interior from sun perfectly . Very goods breakfast : nice cofee , fresh juices , perfect variety of bread , cheeses and meats. In the neighborhood there are shops and restaurants and 2 minutes from highway .
On our trip back from Spain to Switzerland, we decided to add an additional stop in France before continuing driving. I can't say anything about location or anything, as we just used it for one night sleep instead of sleeping in the car. We took that hotel as one of the only options at 11pm in Nimes. We didn't have to show passports or fill out any form. No idea what the requirements are in France, but I think usually you have to show who you are. But actually they would know my name if they wanted to, because I paid by credit card. As a family with three kids (oldest is 16, the younger ones are about 8) getting an apartment for five is quite difficult, so we took this hotel with a (small) four-bed apartment instead of two independent ones, which would've been much more expensive. The two beds in the second room could be moved together so that the three kids finally had a huge bed together. Bed quality is superb. We did not get any special discount for late-arrival or anything, so we paid 131 Euros for that apartment for one night. Plus 4 times city tax à €0.91. Quite expensive, but for a three-star hotel super quality. Only breakfast was not included (would've been 45 Euros extra for five people, but we went somewhere else instead). As a comparison, in Spain we paid 700 Euros for the entire week for five people - with all meals included - in a four-star hotel. So overall I think this here was very expensive, but if you get a good price, I'd recommend it.
