Located near to Nimes station and near to arena, great room with kitchen area and also very quiet no noise issues. Great base to explore the Roman sites of Nimes, this is excellent value and very clean Hotel. Comfy beds and air conditioning which was very quiet, I loved the fact you cook your own breakfast French style, even a dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Nimes is lovely loads to see but not too crowded, easy to get round by foot. The hotel was very close to restaurants and bars, the park is opposite with water features. Recommended.
The whole of the 2nd floor had an obnoxious smell & the carpets were worn & badly stained. At one time the lift was jammed by the cleaners trolley & unusable. We had a small hotel room with a hob & sink in the space of a small wardrobe, not what we consider a studio, it did not even have a kettle or coffee maker in it. The room was dirty, the shower had mould growing in it & the soap dispenser was empty. We will never use any accommodation from this group again.
The Appart'City is fine for just laying you head, beds were ok but not great. The apartment we had was clean and the air conditioning was a godsend as it was very hot while we were there. We found some of the utensils were missing, only 1 cup and no kettle or coffee machine, and when I asked for another cup all that could be offered was an espresso cup, not really the thing for a cup of tea, but we did get a kettle. If you arrive by car they charge you an extra 40 euros to use their underground garages stating that you are not allowed to park on the road. There are a couple of supermarkets across the road where you can get supplies should you require them, plus some fast food outlets within walking distance. Apart from a bar across the road there is not a lot of things to do in the immediate vicinity, so unless you either walk or catch a taxi into Nimes your evenings will be very quiet. Having said that we found the staff both friendly and helpful. It is on a main road so getting out with the car was easy not having to drive through the town and easy access to the A9 &A7 motorways (beware the tolls).
After we arrived we found nobody in the reception, just a complicated machine which wouldn't let us go inside, so we stayed in the cold. we decided to call the service hotline( with a not french telephone, which makes that pretty expensive ) i spoke with woman which treated me like an idiot because i could not open the door, and after 5 minutes on the line without a solution, she just finished the call and let me stand in the cold. then my girlfriend call the hotline again and a man answered who could tell us what we had to know . when we entered our room we had no toilet paper and only one towel for two persons. I really hope for the next clients that this will not stay like this. we are not making holidays to get a bad mood because of some angry worker in the service line. unbelievable bad experience with this hotel and service and for sure our last time in an appart city Hotel
Had a pleasant one night here. Woman at reception was most helpful. Showers were good and rooms quiet. Paid for extra room wifi. Hardly connected at all. Very annoying. There were shops nearby. Nimes (apart from 2 great taxi drivers) people did not help to find maps and buses for an older bloke pulling a 20kg bag. Won't visit again.
Four of us stayed in the one-bedroomed apartment on the 3rd floor, my daughters slept on the sofa bed. Whilst the property shows signs of wear and tear (I think it doubles up as student accommodation sometimes), everything was clean and worked. The kitchen is tiny but has everything necessary to cook a simple meal. The apartment is airconditioned which was a big bonus given the heatwave in France whilst we were there. The location is not bad at all, actually!! Across the road (a very busy road!) are various restaurants and pubs, an organic supermarket and 2 budget supermarkets. It's a 20 minute (leisurely) stroll into the Arenes in Nimes. The staff on reception were lovely - very helpful and efficient. It's also ideal for reaching the airport at Garonne (about 8km). We were very happy with our stay here, however I think 2-3 nights is enough as the apartments are not large and there are no outside spaces.
What if someone took a block of apartments in a building, renovated the rooms with some cheap supplies from a hardware store and built a reception in the lobby? Would you have Appart'City Nimes? I don't know, but that would explain a lot. The room size was decent and there's a fully equipped, if tiny, kitchen. Two-burner stove, small fridge and plates/cutlery. Honestly, it's close to nothing except several strip malls selling things that would only interest homeowners in the area. If you're looking for cheap and un-touristy, this could be the place for you. The carpet was fairly stained and of dumpster quality. We had 2 towels - one full size and one hand towel for 2 people. Again, the quality of the towels was on par with dollar store offerings. If price is the most important criteria for you than this "hotel" could work for you. Also, with plenty of free parking in this commercial area a vehicle will easily find a parking spot. WiFi is extra and there's no maid service except for the cleaners that change the linen and towels when you leave. You take out your own garbage or pay a fine.
We just checked out this morning, and tell the employee about there is no hot water during shower in the evening. And the employee just said that is because the hot water is running out in the morning, so there is no hot water for shower in the evening. This hotel is the noly one hotel we stayed provides NO hot water during shower in the evening. How terrible it is!
The online booking site provides an appartment address, dates, booking confirmation reference and contact email and phone number. Apon arrival in Nimes it was a Sunday and there is no building reception but the contact number should have provided confirmation an directions to check in - as is the case with many other city appartments across Europe. The staff who we contacted by phone did not recognise my name, booking number and told me to find a internet cafe and sort out my booking there A second phone call (from a cafe somewhere else) to another staff member (who genuinely tried to fix the booking problem) also still did not recognise the booking reference number and informed me that the email provided to us was also wrong. Several attempts to re-email my booking reference to another email failed. Eventualy, somehow after a long time on the phone my appartment and my name was found and re-booked by credit card over the phone. and some check-in instructions writted down - building access and room key safe code. Looking at prior reviews on Trip Advisor, it seems that I am not the first to have this problem. As for the appartment itself, it was fine - has a mini - kitchen and shooping centre across the street. Free short-term or overnight parking is available in the car park or in one of the shopping centres across the street if required. There was an additional fee payable to use internet, so WIFI was not available until conter service reception opened the following morning. The counter service at the appartment reception was helpful and friendly. Appartment is close to shoppoing centres and a 20 minute walk to the Nimes Colluseum. Nimes would have been a better experience for us if we had spent Sunday enjoying Nimes after checking in rather than driving around out in the rain sorting out Appart'city's booking stuff-ups!
Good overall hotel in which i would stop again.Next time i would take a travel kettle.Clean and comfortable.I was unable to get the WIFI code. There was no one on the desk to ask questions. Had a good nights sleep
