"A Wave Away"...from all your stress and worries. Enjoy this cozy beach house, 3 bedroom - 2 bathroom.

Everything you need to relax at the beach is included. Begin your morning and watch the sunrise over the ocean from the top deck. Ready to hit the beach? A short walk (~ 3 minutes) to the beach and we provide everything; beach chairs, beach canopy, beach towels, beach toys, ice chest and a wagon to help carry it all. Time to wash off the sand and salt, in addition to the 2 bathrooms there is also an outdoor shower. All you need to refresh is included in bathrooms; bath towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

We have your tech needs covered with; high-speed Wi-Fi, Roku/Smart TV's and alarm clocks with 20 white noise sounds. Beds, nightstands and end tables all equipped with built in power strips with USB ports and plugs.

Relax and unplug with some friendly competition and have a game night. Chess/Checker table, multiple board games, cards, Pac-man arcade game, outdoor jenga, corn hole and yard dice.

Kitchen is fully stocked with drinkware, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, mixing bowls, baking dishes and BBQ tools for the BBQ pit. Drinkware and dishes provided in both ceramic/glass and plastic. Keurig Duo coffee maker; single serve and 12 cup carafe drip coffee brew combo; we provide enough coffee to get you through 1 morning. Appliances; electric stove/oven, refrigerator with in-door water dispenser and ice maker in freezer, dishwasher, blender, hand mixer and toaster. Washer and dryer located in the garage.

King bedroom with bathroom: King bed, bathroom with dual sink vanity, jetted garden tub and separate shower. Queen bedroom: Queen bed. Bunk Bedroom: Queen over Queen bunkbed with full size trundle. Living room Queen Sofa Sleeper. Hall bathroom with walk in shower including dual shower heads on each side of shower.

House is within walking distance of 2 restaurant/bars, coffee shop and convenient store. A grocery store is just 1 mile away. Access to the Jamaica Beach community pool (small daily fee may be required) and park is available and is less than a 5 minute drive within the neighborhood.

Get ready to explore Galveston; just a quick 15-20 minute drive away. We stayed here to celebrate Christmas, six adults and two babies. The house is charming with a kitchen equipped with beautiful dishes, high end pots and pans, crock pot, Ninja toaster oven, Kureg duo, things you don’t normally find in a short term rental. And oh the linens, also high end, plush towels, sheets, bed covers. Again such a nice surprise for a rental. The decor is charming and clearly very well thought out. We had to use both AC and heat as it was in the 80’s until it wasn’t and all of a sudden it was in the 40’s. The house stayed very comfortable. The house is just a short walk to the beach, but we did rent a golf cart that was delivered to the house and really enjoyed riding around the subdivision and on the beach. The house is equipped with virtually everything you need for outdoors as well. Beach canopy, chairs, toys, ice chests, etc. there were outdoor games like corn hole. There was a propane grill as well. And the hosts was so sweet and responsive, although I did not have to contact her at all during our stay as we encountered zero issues. We would definitely book again.

This was our 2nd stay here at AWA. We love this home-away-from home, Tisha truly has thought out every want or need you could have, from essentials (toiletries, pots and pans, extra blankets) to fun extras (game station, beach toys, coolers and wagon). The atmosphere is a perfect blend of fun and relaxation. The whole home is decorated in a lovely nautical/beachy theme (honestly my favorite things were the flamingo utensils and dish set!). The beds are very comfortable as well. We brought our daughter last year as a 4 year old, and this year we came with daughters (5 year old and a 6 month old), along with my in-laws. My girls loved going to the top deck for some early morning breakfast and a look-around at the community and ocean. Everyone left rested and relaxed. We love our time here and are looking forward to the next stay here at A Wave Away. We highly and wholeheartedly recommend for your beach vacation!

4 Generations Girls’ Trip

Jamaica Beach is one of our favorite places to be and this was, by far, our best experience thus far! The home was extremely clean and well equipped. The host was very communicative and courteous. We were so comfortable that we extended our stay for two additional nights, and we’re already planning or next stay!

Weekend Get Away

Perfect location with quick beach access. The property was great for my teenage kids to be close to other friends for prom beach weekend. There was a minor issue with the master shower not being warm but Tisha replied quickly. The outdoor patio furniture was a little worn but to be expected with the water/humidity.

Home away from home

This property was absolutely adorable and in the perfect location. It has everything you need for the beach and to keep the kiddos entertained, so no need to pack a bunch of extra stuff. It's a very peaceful neighborhood and clean. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook meals and is very spacious. My only complaint is the shower in the master bath has zero pressure, so we had to use the other shower. Everything else was perfect.

Staying at "A Wave Away" was a fantastic experience. Our kids declared that if we go back to Galveston this is the only place to stay ( we have gone three times in the last 8 years). We even had inclement weather and our host made sure that we were where is safe while we were out on the Seawall. We'll definitely use this location again when we go back.

The Perfect Home Away From Home!

My husband found the ‘A Wave Away’ beach-house on VRBO, and the pictures were gorgeous! We booked with Tishia, and her courtesy and communication throughout the process were excellent. We ended up needing to postpone, and Tishia was super understanding and made that happen for us. Soon after that, Hurricane Beryl hit and we moved our dates again. Tishia kept in frequent contact about the status of the clean up, power outages, beach closures, etc and it greatly helped in our decision not to cancel altogether. We had great conversations and shared that this was our first family trip to the beach, and would be our daughter’s first time seeing the ocean. When we got to the house, we saw immediately it was even more beautiful in person. The home was immaculate, gorgeously decorated to suit the salt and sea, and there was an unexpected and very sweet surprise when we walked in. It just showed how much thought and care she puts into it. Everything we needed (and many things we never thought of) were in place and ready for use! Lots of space, games, pots and pans (bring your own groceries!), comfortable beds and plenty of bedding, laundry detergent, luxurious bathrooms-this house had it all! It truly felt like a “home away from home”. Our daughter’s favorite part of the house was the Pac-Man arcade game and the jacuzzi tub. We loved how close the beach was, and we really enjoyed sitting on the top deck for the view. We are eagerly looking forward to our next vacation at A Wave Away

Totally Amazing

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The owners put a lot of thought into this home making it a home away from home. The house has just about anything you could think of. Everything was of great quality regardless of it being a rental. This house is very well decorated and cozy. The property is in walking distance of the beach. And last but not least, Trish was very communicative with details of the upcoming trip. We were all in awe and will definitely be back. Thank you Trish for a delightful mini vacation!

Everything I expected for a relaxing visit!

This was my 1st time ever booking a trip! I was really hesitant at 1st but the host answered all my questions and she was fabulous! The place was so cute! Next time we book here, we are planning to bring our golf cart. My sister in law booked on the beach however, I actually thought this place was much nicer!
