🌊 The Victorian Amenities

The Victorian is located directly on Seawall Boulevard across from Babe’s Beach, putting you right in the heart of Galveston’s beachfront.

Traffic signals at both corners provide convenient pedestrian access to the beach. A large box store beginning with “W” is next door, while restaurants, BBQ, sandwich shops, shopping, and other necessities are all within walking distance.

Guests have access to:

Shared amenities are available to guests and residents throughout the condominium complex.

☕ Starter Supplies

To make your arrival easy, we provide starter supplies including:

Paper towels
Toilet paper
Hand and body soap
Shampoo and conditioner
Dishwashing supplies
Trash bags
Starter coffee supplies

These supplies are intended to get you settled in and through your first grocery run rather than cover your entire stay.

🛏️ Linens & Towels

All beds are freshly made before your arrival, so there's no need to make beds or bring your own sheets.

We provide one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth per guest, based on the home's maximum occupancy of six guests.

Beach towels are not provided. Customized beach towels are available to rent for $35 for the duration of your stay. A credit card is required as security, with a $25 replacement charge for an unreturned towel.

🚗 You Don't Need a Car

A car is convenient, but you can enjoy plenty of Galveston without one. The beach, shopping, and several restaurants are within walking distance.

Public transportation, taxis, Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats, and DoorDash are also available in the area.

🅿️ Victorian Parking, Resort & Amenity Fee

The Victorian condominium complex charges a parking/resort/amenity fee directly to guests upon arrival. This fee is established and collected by The Victorian, not by the condo owner or My Galveston Getaway.

Current fees are:

Up to 7 consecutive nights: $40 + tax, including up to 2 parking permits
8–31 days: $80 + tax
Extended stays: $80 + tax per month

The Victorian will issue parking permits and may provide guest wristbands and access codes for the drive-through and pedestrian gates, pools, hot tubs, fitness center, and complex Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi passwords change monthly.

This fee cannot be collected in advance or paid on your behalf.

🧺 Laundry

There is no washer or dryer inside the condo. The Victorian has several pay-per-use laundry facilities throughout the complex that accept credit and debit cards.

🐾 Pets

The Victorian does not allow pets for renters.

True service animals are an exception, although the condominium complex may request appropriate verification. Emotional support animals are not considered service animals for short-term vacation rentals under the applicable rules, and exceptions cannot be made to the complex's policy.

🚭 Smoking & Vaping

All My Galveston Getaway properties are 100% non-smoking and non-vaping.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Occupancy

Every person counts toward the maximum occupancy, regardless of age, size, or sleeping arrangements. This includes infants. Occupancy limits are established by the property owners in conjunction with the fire department and condominium association.

❄️ HVAC Guidelines

To help us keep the home's HVAC system running efficiently, please:

Do not adjust the thermostat by more than 3 degrees per hour.
During summer, do not set the AC below 70°F.
During winter, do not set the heat above 74°F.
Keep the fan on AUTO.
Turn the HVAC system off when doors or windows are open.
Maintain no more than a 20-degree difference between outdoor and indoor temperatures.

🏝️ Beach Time & Sand

After enjoying the beach, please use the outdoor showers near the pool before returning to the condo and shake sand from your towels.

If significant sand makes its way inside, please sweep it up. Besides making cleanup more difficult, sand can make floors slippery and create a safety hazard.

📝 Rental Agreement & Check-In

After booking, you'll receive a link to complete our rental agreement. We request:

Personal email address
Name and age of each guest
Driver's license information
Emergency contact information

Please complete the agreement promptly so we can provide your check-in information.

Approximately 3–5 days before arrival, we'll email driving directions and check-in instructions to the guest who made the reservation. We'll then call approximately 24–48 hours later to make sure you received everything, verify the access code, and answer any last-minute questions.

We give our guests plenty of privacy, but we're always available if you need assistance.

🌦️ Weather & Travel Protection

Galveston is a beautiful barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico and is naturally susceptible to rain, thunderstorms, tropical weather, and occasional hurricanes. Severe weather can sometimes cause temporary power or Wi-Fi interruptions.

We encourage guests to consider trip cancellation and interruption protection through the booking platform or another provider.

If a governmental authority issues a mandatory evacuation order for Galveston Island, refunds are provided in accordance with our applicable cancellation policy.

Weather, temperatures, sunshine, mosquitoes, and other conditions beyond our control are not grounds for a refund except as specifically covered by the applicable evacuation/refund policy.

🛗 Elevators

Because of Galveston's coastal environment, elevators can occasionally experience problems related to moisture, humidity, and salt air. Elevator operation is controlled by The Victorian, not My Galveston Getaway.

If we're notified of an elevator outage, we'll notify the complex, request available repair information, and share updates with guests when possible.

Please help protect the elevators by not allowing children to play inside them, avoiding unnecessary button pushing, and not holding doors open.

🚪 Checkout

No full cleaning is required before departure, and you do not need to strip the beds.

At checkout, simply:

Remove all food from the condo and refrigerator.
Leave a note with any restaurant, shopping, or excursion recommendations you discovered.
Lock the door behind you.
