The old world and seasonal decor was just charming. We enjoyed sipping wine on the porch. Porches throughout the house so enough space for all the guests. Wendy is a lovely lady, she has fresh coffee at 7:30 am. There’s also a Keurig to make your own any time. Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Within walking distance to Main Street.

This was our second visit to here, having stayed here last year during their Octoberfest celebration... That should tell you all you need to know about what we think. Wonderful home and owners, spacious rooms and wonderfully made from scratch breakfasts. There are also plenty of porches and verandas to sit on and enjoy the property and a drink. The best part is it is located at the foot of Rte. 20 and the Galena River so its easy walking distance to downtown. Great experience

My husband and I truly loved being guests at Annie Wiggins Guest house. Wendy is a wonderful cook. Breakfasts were wonderful! The room and house is decorated very nice. We would definitely stay there again.

I have been to Annie Wiggins before. Wendy, the owner, is a fine host. The house was built before the Civil War , was restored and a very pleasant walk back in time. Convenient to Main street. I always meet great people there, the rooms are clean and well appointed, breakfast is great. There is a sitting porch on each level and a great garden. I was up early each morning, Wendy had coffee ready and I sat on the porch taking in the sun. A wonderful get away.

Our first visit to a B n B in Galena was a pleasant, relaxing, and rewarding experience. The cooly dark interiors made a dramatic contrast to the bright and sunny gardens outdoors. The antique furniture, the old books, and the vintage portraits offer practically every surface as an object of curiosity and scrutiny. Hostess Wendy's culinary skill and charm and knowledge made her wonderful breakfasts a friendly and engaging course in the history of the 1842 house, its historic neighborhood, and the facts of Galena. Breakfast on our last morning was so comfortable that everyone sat around chatting for two hours. The house and its owners were more than equal charms to the appeal of this historic old town.

I was not sure what to expect from Galena, other than wanting to spend a special birthday evening with family. The guest house set the expectations, with the beautiful majestic entrance, the incredible interior, the magical back porch and garden and the WOW factor of attention to detail. The gracious host, Wendy makes you feel like and old friend. The glamorous settings and the incredibly served, delicious breakfast just left us at awe and with plans to return here, one day.

Sitting on her back porch in the midst of photo worthy gardens, we savored the gentle breeze with genteel conversation. Annie’s air conditioned rooms and modern size beds allow you to enjoy the modern comforts while taking a step back into history with the antique touches. Her home cooked breakfast is outstanding. We enjoyed a savory Monte Christo casserole that was topped with a home made raspberry sauce. Annie’s is a great place to relax and enjoy the gardens and the local fauna (cardinals, orioles and fledglings at the feeders). We will be returning regularly and highly recommend this Inn for your visit to Galena.

We have been visiting Galena at least twice a year for 13 years and always have stayed in different places each time. This time we were at Annie Wiggins and we have definitely found our favorite. The innkeeper Wendy is a delight. Her breakfast is fantastic and her home is beautiful, comfortable and so inviting. I could have sat in the gardens all day listening to the fountains and drinking her lemonade. We will certainly be visiting her again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Annie Wiggins Guest House with friends. The house was clean and beautifully decorated with antiques. The breakfasts were great and the gardens blooming with flowers. The location was convenient to historic downtown Galena . The owners Wendy and Bill were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to dine and things to do. They also provided a local perspective of the town and area. We would definitely recommend Annie Wiggins for those visiting Galena.

Wendy the owner was accomadating and helpful. our room was gorgious with a canopy bed and was also quiet and roomy. the location of this inn is perfect for an easy stroll to downtown Galena where all the shops, pubs and dining options are many. the highlight of this B&B is breakfast...wonderful coffee, fresh fruit and unique blends of foods on extrordinarily beautiful place settings.
