Nice hotel in Guntersville. Rooms need a little updating, but overall not bad. Average for a Hampton. Fitness room could use a little more to it. Guest rooms clean other than one spot on bathroom floor. Lobby was very nice.
We did not sleep a wink. It wasn't the kind of stay you want when you are fishing a big tournament the next day in 30-40 degree weather and it's raining. I was exhausted heading to the landing that morning and I could have slept better in my vehicle.
This hotel is always very clean and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is excellent! One day I would like to try one of the special suites. I always have to get a room on the top floor since my autistic daughter loves tall buildings and they always give me what I’m looking for!
The girl at the front desk was very sweet and friendly however the hotel lacks cleanliness . We had to switch rooms upon checking in there was a stain on the mattress, the walls were filthy huge black marks everywhere , mirrors were dirty and so were the glass on the pictures hanging in the room. The room we were switched to had a toilet that ran all night and kept filling itself back up couldn't get any rest as it was the loudest toilet ever. And upon entering that room we had to pick up the floor as there was a hairspray cap from the previous guest. Upon getting out of the car almost tripped over all the branches from the shrubs that littered the sidewalk whomever was trimming the shrubs just left even leaving a rake against the wall I reckon it was quitting time. Also almost tripped over a hose that went from one end of the parking lot to the other would of been nice if there had been a caution cone. This place was an accident waiting to happen. I was disappointed as there seem to be no quality control. Hard to believe it was a Hilton property. Was told my room was comped only to get home to find out that my card was charged and for more than the room was originally to cost. Will be calling the credit card company in the morning.
This hotel has very clean and very nice rooms. It has a sufficiently size breakfast area. It is near the water so you can walk near Lake Guntersville. It is also right next to Gunnersville high school. However, For one room for one night $140 is just too much. Yes I paid it because I am a fan of this brand. But I will think twice before I pay that much again.
Not a bad stay overall, but there were some spots that needed a bit of work. The bathroom sink had a leak somewhere and made a mold spot on the floor. There was also some water damage around the bathroom exhaust fan. The springs in the bed and couch weren't in the best shape. The thing that bothered me most was the stack of mattresses in front of a window at the end of the hall. I don't know why they were there or what was wrong with them, but that doesn't seem like the best place for them.
We found this hotel to be very clean, friendly staff, and what we expect from a Hampton Inn. The check in was quick and easy as well as check out. The room was very comfortable and in great shape. The hotel is very centrally located with a great view of the lake if you stay on the north side. It's a great value as it's the only larger chain in town and better price than the other hotels. We would definitely stay there again if back in guntersville for any reason with a need to stay the night.
We were in town for a wedding. We prefer staying in either Hilton or Marriott properties. This was the only one in town close to the state park. It was centrally located with a great view of the lake. There are plenty of restaurants close by. The staff was very friendly and didn't take long at all for check in and check out. They met our every request. The room was very clean and everything was in good working condition. This hotel had one of the best ac units I've had in a room which is great if you like to be cool when you sleep. If we end up there again for any reason, I will definitely book there again.
Only issue was having to call back to get bill emailed. And looks like I may have to call a second time. Not the first time this has happened at Hampton and others. Great location with views of the lake out front and softball field out back. Always enjoy Wentzells Oyster House next door. Easy walk.
We stayed at this Hampton Inn while attending a wedding at Guntersville State Park Lodge. The drive was only 11 minutes away. The staff was excellent and the room was nice and clean. Great breakfast and the check-in was a pleasure!
