Overall a positive experience. The apartment was great. Well equipped. The only thing lacking were hooks for towels! The microwave wasn't working but a replacement was provided very quickly. The flat is well positioned for access to the old town and many facilities. The walk back up is steep but one of the most impressive things about Funchal is where it is built: on the side of a hill. Everywhere there are steep roads. The pool and the air conditioning were greatly appreciated.
