House recently restored and transformed into two independent T1 apartments. This little one!
It has a modern design, very comfortable and cozy, with a magnificent view over the bay of Funchal, making it possible to watch and enjoy the fantastic fireworks display of the common terrace of the building (2 apartments) .
Consisting of a spacious bedroom (double bed) with complete ensuite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area.
It has a private garage for a car (parking A) at no additional cost.
Excellent geographical location, close to the access to the highways, so you can travel all over the island and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, and close to the historic center of Funchal, and can even get around on foot.

The hosts were very nice people, but we moved out after 3 of a 21 day stay. The photo attached to the property description was taken from a neighbouring rental, separated by a barrier from ours. For us there was no outdoor eating area.The garage, while available, was virtually inaccessible, too tiny for the smallest of cars and even worse if the neighbour was already installed. No legal street parking within sight. An adjacent stone wall made garage entry a major challenge. There was no warning that any of these problems would greet us, and seemingly no recourse for the hundreds of dollars we spent in finding alternative accommodation.

Our stay here was great! The place was very clean and spacious. It was a perfect accommodation for the two of us. The location is great too. About a 20 minute walk from the city centre so not too bad. It is higher up though and the street leading up to the place especially is incredibly steep so be warned of that. The bathroom had a bit of a weird smell to it but it was no big deal really. The one biggest warning I have for this stay is the parking. The parking garage is a shared space and for this listing, spot A is incredibly hard to get into as there is part of the garage that sticks out on one side and a car on your other side. The street is a one way street and is very narrow making it difficult to get in and out as well so if you're not a great driver just be aware of this. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our entire stay here!

The stay at this Appartment was lovely and working with the host was easy! Everything was as the listing stated and we would recommend this Appartment! The only thing we had trouble with was the garage was very tight if the other spot is full. It was doable, but a smaller car would be easier to park.

It was a nice place to stay within our budget! Judite was great and everything was clean, worked, and felt safe. Judite even accommodated out late arrival - 12:15 am! On the other side, we were aware there was no air conditioning but the apartment often got quite hot and muggy. While the parking was an excellent accommodation, it was quite a tight fit after a precarious drive uphill. All things considered, would absolutely book again!

The property is located in an ideal location 10/15 minutes from the sea and most restaurants. It is located up a hill so as long as you don’t mind a walk it’s perfect! With lovely views down over Funchal it makes a pretty perfect base for your holiday!

Clean, safe apartment with good location to downtown

This is a very nice apartment about 10-15 minute walk (uphill) from downtown Funchal. Very safe, but you'll work up a sweat. Lots of restaurants/shops/bars etc.. in the area. As far as the apartment, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Everything worked as expected, and the view was wonderful with a little terrace to enjoy your morning coffee. My only suggestion would be to have an oscillating fan for those warm days. There was no A/C.

Centrally Located Funchal Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Funchal. The unit we rented was too small for us but that was a problem with our choice, not the owner’s. However, it was extremely well equipped particularly in the kitchen.This apt is perfectly located, only 10 minutes walk to the marina, La Vie shopping centre and a myriad of activities, museums and restaurants. There is a magnificent view of the city and the cruise ship docks from the terrace. Our hosts were very accessible and answered quickly whenever we had a question. Due to its hillside location, this would not be appropriate for people who have fitness or mobility issues but for us it was great to stay fit while vacationing. We would definitely consider renting this property again albeit choose one of the larger units.

Great location close to the city center. Clean apartment, host was friendly when we met him at the check in. Small terrace outside is neat in case of good whether. Essential kitchen supplies present. Garage in convient, note that it might be challenging to park a large car.

Comfy stay in great location

The location is perfect, in a quiet neighbourhood but close to all amenities. The beautiful view from the bedroom window is of the port so you can watch cruise ships, marine traffic and wave action when the swells are high. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed comfortable and the deck is large and pleasant for relaxing.

Super holiday

The apartment was a steep walk from the town but in a quiet elevated oasis with good views on Funchal and the harbour. It was clean and had all the basics to make for a very enjoyable stay. The cake fruit and water was very welcome on arrival. Thankyou very much to our hosts.

Good base for an out-and-about week

Lovely weather so we didn't spend much time at the flat. It made an excellent base for going out for day hikes on the levadas and walking down to town for shopping or evening meals. It is a very steep walk up from the area where most of the restaurants are located so this is not a base for anyone who has mobility problems but we had a good view out to the sea. One really nice aspect was that on arrival, we found a lovely bowl of fresh fruit, some local cake and two bottles of water - all most welcome after a long journey and a very kind and thoughtful gesture. The flat has a well equipped kitchenette and is furnished with basic IKEA style modern furniture which is perfectly adequate but I think that if we had had a week of rain, it might have felt a little confined as the living room just looks out to a brick area and the view to the front can only be had by standing at the bedroom window or sitting on the shared balcony. Having said which, I don't think poor weather is a regular feature of Madeira so it worked very well for us. Clean, modern and perfectly adequate - recommended.

The hill up to the property was very steep and our small car only just made it. However small car was essential to park in the garage. We had everything we needed and had a lovely stay. The view from the bedroom and terrace was outstanding throughout the day and night. Nice quiet area. The Prince Charles cafe/bar is a great stop off on the walk back from Funchal Town,staff really friendly and helpful. A good base to explore explore Funchal on foot and the island by car. Fabulous view

The studio apartment was clean, bright and modern. Everything we needed was in the kitchen for cooking, bedroom windows opened up with a view of the bay of Funchal and we had a delightful little terrace to sit out on in the evenings, watching the cruise ships coming in and out of the harbour. It was tricky to find but at least we had the garage beneath to leave the car when it was not in use. The supermarket, restaurants were all close by. But you did need to be fit to walk up the steep hill to the apartment- but worth it!
