Excellent property right in Funchal
Excellent property right in Funchal. It was just done up last August. The owner contacted us before our trip to get basic flight details so she can be ready for us. Our flight was detoured and delayed for several hours the owner Ligia left a message for us so we managed to WhatsApp her when we arrived. She returned to the property very promptly and showed us the property. It's on top of streets with several good restaurants and cafes. The lounge and kitchen are on the first and the 2 bedrooms with ensuite showers are on the second. There is a 2nd floor with a child bedroom and shower room. This is also where the washing machine and dryers are, which proved to be very useful on raining days. There is also a patio with small coffee table where you can have a drink in the evening with sunset view over roofs of other houses. There's also a dining table inside.
The beds are excellent (I'm very fussy with having good mattress) and the showers are pristine like all other parts of the house. The kitchen is good standard with sufficient utensils for making basic meals. We made our breakfast there before heading out for the day. There's a small breakfast table just next to the kitchen. We didn't user it as there is much nicer and bigger dinning table in the lounge area few steps away. The streets outside can be noisy if you have the windows opened, but closing the windows shut out all the noise. It's within walking distance to all the sights in Funchal.
