Love the Royal Park Hotel.

We absolutely enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Great breakfast and services all around! The laundry machine on-site is a huge plus and you can check the progress of your laundry at your room via TV. We would love to stay here next time when you visit Hakata.

Conveniently located within walking distance to Hakata Train Station and nearby food and shopping options. The hotel is a stand-alone building located in the middle of a cluster of buildings so this provide some noise buffer from the main roads and activities outside. The hotel still provide basic amenity kits but not on a central station at the lobby unlike many other Japan hotels these days. I like how the toilet has a segregated wet (shower + tub) and dry (washing basin and toilet bowl) section. However the room is a little small and cramp with no room to open luggage. This is however understandable for smaller average room size is a norm according to Japan standards and the fact that we are squeezing three beds in a room meant for 2. Finally I like to commend how the TV has options for online international news channel, particularly CNA, to allow me to stay connected with news back home in Singapore.

The staff were amazing and the room wasn’t as tiny as some others, also within 10 minutes walk from Fukuoka Hakata Station. However the breakfast was not very satisfactory for western tourists as almost everything was Japanese food which we enjoy just not for breakfast please. The chairs were mostly dirty and stained and coffee was just instant coffee from a machine, not expresso.
