Some may say the hotel is 'tired' but it was ideal for a completely relaxing break. The room was large and had a fabulous balcony overlooking the sea. The food was varied and tasty. The staff were helpful especially with help with the wifi purchased at the hotel. Yes, the service is intermittent but we were not too concerned as it was perfectly acceptable whilst on a holiday. If wifi is your main concern, you have chosen the wrong place. If you want sea, sun and calm then this is the place to go and relax.
Rooms very dated but very clean and have everything you need, housekeepers are great. The reception staff very friendly, a special thanks to Sabrina for her professional, kind and warm welcome and through out my stay. Only stayed B n B, breakfast is good, the usual continental and English, fruit etc.... My only grumble would be how miserable the staff are in the dining room.... All in a all a great place to stay and relax and considering the location, (if you want luxurious accommodation with these views you would pay a lot of money!!!),...... Oh and the Bar Horizonte on the beach.. (Only bar)... Does great lunches... The sardines are delicious!!... Handy little supermarket opposite for drinks, bread, snacks etc. I would definitely return, came home feeling chilled......
Receptio staff very helpful and spoke good English. For the first time ever I got a sea view after requesting it. Room was virtually on the beach. I only had B&B but the breakfast was outstanding, being a buffet catering for every conceivable taste. Good quiet location in Costa Calma with parking. Car and bike hire at the hotel. Good restaurants and supermarket within easy walking distance. Will definitely look at staying there again next yime I visit Fuerteventura.
To tell the truth we werent really sure how this vacation would be. We visited Lanzarote two yeras ago and loved it. Thats why we decided to visit another canary island. We were pleasently surprised. The Hotel was very good and situated on what we believe one of the most beautiful beaches that the canaries have to offer. The water was so clean and clear and warm. October and November is a good time to visit. It isnt as windy as in the summer. The meals were fantastic. There was something for everyone and very tasty and well served. The Service personel was very friendly and helpful. They really went out of there way to make you feel comfortible. Basically all the rooms point towards the ocean, but the first room they had assigned to us looked over two other rooms and was just not what we understood under ocean veiw. We asked for another room that was in a different area of the Hotel and much higher. Definetly more to our liking and we were able to switch. We were able to make some excursions . I recommend a bus tour, boat tour ( sailing ) and a Jeep tour. We took the mini Jeep tour which involves driving youself together with 4 to 5 other Jeeps. It was fun and you get to visit parts of the island which you cant normally get to. All in all a very Relaxing and quiet vacation. Just what we needed to get ready for the cold winter ahead. Definetly not the last time.
Rooms: As the first room was in a terrible condition (door could only be opened, with much force/ 2 shelf boards, were broken/ shower hose was broken) and much to small for a family with only one child, we have seen 3 other rooms. One was even worse, because the color was falling from the wall, without any sight on anything (terrace was about 70cm large and followed by a 2m high wall) allthough it was much taller. The third room was definitely better but it was on the side with the restaurant, which was not, what we paid for and would have waken up our child in the mornings. The forth room we got and kept the following day. That one was ok, but on the balcony, still the color fell of the wall during our 9 days stay and we also had one day a wasp nest on the water drain. Food: The food was good and sometimes even excellent, but not really surprising or special and after one week it started to be exactly the same again. Reception: Bad beginning with the rooms, but they really cared to find a better room. So the receptionist were friendly, but have to deal with a old hotel which definitely needs a renovation!!! Although we had a lot of luggage nobody helped us by transporting it to the room and also the next day, when we changed the room I had to carry everything alone. Staff: Very friendly and when you ask them very helpful. For a 4 star hotel they could be a little bit faster in seeing upcoming problems like needing a baby's high chair, when you enter the restaurant, so that you don't have to ask or even look for one on your own. But they also have a lot of work, because the hotel is not in a good estate. F.E. The baby crib the roomservice brought in our room was broken as well, so she had to get another one. All inclusive: - Internet: is really expensive - 7€ a day, getting less, when you take it for longer - Food is served in a schedule that takes you a week to know everything Restaurant: 8h-10h30, 12h30-14h (quite short, when you get up late in the morning) and 17h30-21h Snack Bar: 14h30-16h warm snacks, 16h sweets and coffee (no warm snacks! Why?) Drinking: depends on the bar you are, all different, but worst thing is, that the bar close to the beach closes at 17h30. Over all you get free drinks from 8-10h30 and then from 11h-01h on different places, but as I said you're going to learn where and when. - Safe: as we got it free, because of the room problem I'm not completely sure, but something more than 20€ a week - Towels 10€ Deposit, but if you want to change them it costs 1€ per towel and change. Animation: Not much, best part was the mini-disco which my child loved, although I'm not sure, if the animator really enjoyed it. Main problem for us, was the fact that they started at 20h30 which for us was 21h30 in middle european time. So it was really late for our child. Beach volley I had to organize on my own, because animation told me, that there is no one who wants to play. First day I started with 8, next day with 12 and then up to 16 players. So I'm not sure, if animation really tried. ;-)
Great hotel amazing view from the balcony there is a lovely bar which is on looking the beach and sea friendly staff amazing food i went all inclusive every thing is available I would stay here again 5 stars
The hotel is located on a beautiful 2km long sandy beach. Our room was clean and spacious, actually a mini-suite, with an outside veranda overlooking the ocean. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for free at the pool but they are all "reserved" with towels early in the morning, while on the beach you have to pay (€13.50 daily) but at least don't need to rush. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and varied; dinner of good quality with fish always available, although the choice of desserts is rather repetitive and the same cakes are presented from one meal to the other. Lunch is sometimes disapponting, as we happened to find on the buffet the same food of the night before, warmed up after a night in the fridge...something scarcely appealing even at home, that you would not expect in a 4 star hotel. Was that to be ascribed to the "all inclusive" policy? The bar offers a wide choice of beverages and the personnel is happy to prepare your personal favourite cocktail (special thanks to Beatrice for our Negroni). Unfortunately nothing is served to accompany your aperitif (no peanuts, olives, chips...)
I went with 3 girlfriends (all in our 60's) to this hotel and we thought the hotel was very good. We were staying half board for 2 weeks and found the food excellent. I am a coeliac (gluten free) and there was always plenty to choose from. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpfull, especially Sabrina, head receptionist. The weather was not as good as we expected but we managed to do a few walks and went on the buses to various places. The town was not very big and not commercialised, which we liked, although there is a market on a Wednesday.
If you are like us and go abroad to actually be abroad rather than being surrounded by Brits, this is the ideal location for you. Yes, there are plenty of Germans, the most polite and friendly holidaymakers we have had the pleasure of spending a week with, but also Italians, French, and Dutch. The food is obviously reflected in this, however, I don't go to Spain and expect to eat British food. There were some great themed nights, an Italian night and a Spanish night were an opportunity to try some foods that are not usually available. The beach is stunning, the staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. The accommodation is of a very high standard and spotlessly clean, as is the whole hotel complex. Shout out to Pedro, out Portuguese friend. We stayed for a week in January and have just returned from a second holiday, cannot wait to go back later this year. The only thing lacking is the lack of decent wi-fi, this is chargeable and not the most reliable, however, gave us the opportunity to switch off completely. Try the San Borondon across the road for live music every night, great food, staff and atmosphere.
Staff, cleanliness ,and location of hotel very good, although very quite, was lovely just for a relaxing break ,on the down side pool was far too cold to swim and the hotel is 95% German ,didn't even have an information folder in English and evening entertainment left a lot to be desired .
