The hotel itself has a lovely lobby that makes a great first impression. The staff is friendly and quick to assist. I must admit that I was a little disappointed at the décor/bedding of our room as it felt old fashioned (think 80's vibe) which truly didn't make sense with the rest of the hotel as it seems to have much more of an elegant touch. Regardless, our room was exceptionally cleaned daily and the AC functioned well which is something of major importance for us. The proximity to the beach is perfect as you can just walk out and roam the castle and shops. BE AWARE: the beach and pool are freezing! But I am sure during the hot summer days its nice and refreshing. We tried the dinner buffet once and once was enough. It had a variety of dessert and salad options but as far as sides and main dish it really felt limited and uneventful. Overall a pleasant stay

The hotel was awesome. We were able to walk on the beach, or sit cu the pool. The food was very good. We visited the castle right next to the hotel which had a wonderful view of the whole area! It was a beautiful hotel. We had an awesome time.

This was our first trip to Spain. We traveled with an infant, but the hotel is right on the beach, so getting to the sand was no bother. Clean and quiet beach (in October) and there are lounge chairs and huts to rent for the day $9. Worth it since you are right on the sand versus sitting around the pool. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the center of Fuengirola town where we strolled and dined each night. There is also a mall and supermarket (inside the mall) that we walked to for bottles of water, baby food and snacks for the room. I would recommend staying here if you want the location on the beach and are close (but not too close) to the busy center of town. There is also a breakfast buffet that was worth getting included in the hotel price. The fresh meats served at breakfast are delicious and you won't need to spend money on the pricey dinner buffet in the hotel if you get your 'meat fix' at breakfast.

Everything was excellent! Only negative would be internet connection was not good!

Fabulous Hotel. Only negative was internet connection not good at all.

The IPV Beatrice is a great vacation hotel on a lovely beach. There is a wonderful outdoor pool as well as an inside pool and spa facilities. The breakfast is fantastic. You can have omelets, pancakes, bacon, sausage, 3-4 cheeses, meat cold cuts, multiple juices, cereals, and breads and many, many other delicious foods. We chose the hotel special that included breakfast, but the prices for full board were reasonable. After seeing the evening buffet, I wish we had gotten full board. The price for the buffet evening meal is 22 Euro, but looked worth every penny. The hotel room was not posh, but was large enough, clean and comfortable. We had a very nice view of the sea and the pool. The only complaints we had was the parking situation which has too few parking spaces for the amount of clients and two of the three rooms we had did not have adequate air conditioning. Every evening, there was entertainment just below our balcony. There was flamenco dancing one night, a magician and last night, Kool and the Gang sang oldies songs. There were facilities for child care/activities and a kiddy pool. There were plenty of pool chairs and a 10 Euro charge for beach towels that was returned when you returned the towels. The hotel is located next to a castle ruin and you could walk to shopping areas in 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a beautiful beach and a comfortable hotel.

Dear Daniela, Thank you very much for staying at Hotel IPV Palace & SPA and for your review on Expedia.com. Regarding your comments about our decoration, we understand that your point of view is very personal, but we would like to inform you that our Hotel was inaugurated in 2004 and that all our rooms have been recently refurbished. All of them have an exquisite decoration and first qualities, as the rest of our facilities. About our Buffet, we offer a wide variety of dishes prepared with high quality products, show cooking, a great selection of fresh fish and meat, mediterranean dishes and many other range of products. We are sorry if our selection have not met entirely your expectations. We appreciate the time spent on your feedback and hope to welcome you back very soon. Kind regards,
