Lovely and Relaxing Place

We had a lovely stay. We traveled with our two boys, my parents and our dog. It was such a great area to disconnect and relax. The house is in the middle of a field, with plenty of mowed area to be outside and explore but also plenty of privacy. My husband and I went out on the kayaks, kiddos loved the game room and hot tub, dog loved the field to run around, and my parents just loved the area in general. We spent a day on Skyline Drive, spent a few mornings at Rockland Park which was great for all ages (paths, outside workout equipment, and lots of walking paths). We would love to return again next year if it works out.

Beautiful place

The Farm was absolutely beautiful. Frank and Grace were very gracious host. We had everything we needed. We would definitely love to return some day.

Loved the property. Very private and peaceful. Dogs could run and play. Very relaxing.

Idyllic

This home and property were absolutely beautiful. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. My siblings and our families enjoyed our time so much. We kayaked, hiked, canoed, relaxed in the amazing hot tub and played air hockey in the rec room. We also visited nearby Shenandoah National Park. Our dogs also had a wonderful time and the room to run and play fetch and walk was immense! What wonderful memories for us to share for a lifetime. 💓

We enjoyed an extremely relaxing get away weekend. The farmhouse had everything needed to enjoy yourself and immerse yourself in relaxing completely. The house is well appointed, comfortable and has something for everyone to do.

BETTER THAN THE PICTURES!

Our family of 36 reunited here for an 80th bday celebration. We stayed in 4 different homes owned & managed by Frank & Grace and all of them were gorgeous, well stocked with dishes, spices, appliances, but we gathered each evening at Exquisite/Farmhouse and with good reason: The house & sprawling property is prettier than the pictures convey. Frank & Grace are accommodating, generous, & responsive, which made organizing this tremendous get-together so much easier on all who were gathering from 3 different states. Don’t look anywhere but here!

Holiday Weekend on the River

Overall the farm house property was a great place to enjoy time with friends. The house comfortably slept the 6 of us and had all the amenities you would need while on vacation. The cleared area down by the river was a great place to relax on and off the water. We spent almost 2 whole days kayaking and swimming in the river and had a great time making a fire near the water. There was plenty of room to setup a slackline, throw frisbee, and play cornhole. The hot tub was a great place to relax after a long day hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

Wonderful, Charming and Relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit this past weekend. The house is very comfortable, beautifully furnished, a well equipped kitchen, great outdoor places to lounge for reading and playing games, loved the picnic tables for meals, the outside shower, hot tub and easy walks down to the river. We all were relaxed so much we skipped the idea of hiking and stayed at the house. Great place!

6* location

My family ranged from 16 to 78 years old. This is an amazing property for people who enjoy nature, at least a little. There is quite a lot to do on the property and in the surrounding area. Smallmouth bass fishing below the dam is spectacular. Bring vehicles okay on bumpy dirt roads. They're flat, so our minivan did okay but I wouldn't spring a sports/luxury car. Three teenagers (2 not real outdoorsy) weren't bored there. Easy drive to quaint downtown Front Royal or walmart/target etc. as needed.

Total relaxation

We came here for a family vacation, there were 8 of us total with two small dogs. The farm had absolutely everything you need to have a quiet vacation. The kitchen was stocked beyond what we could have hoped for, the bedrooms were comfortable and the game room was so much fun for all. There was plenty of wildlife to keep us entertained on the porch having our morning coffee. Close to hiking or skyline drive in Shenandoah. We enjoyed our stay at the farm and plan on going back!

Wonderful

We had two families at the house, and we all had a great time. The house was clean and updated. We loved sitting on the porch and the adirondack chairs while the dogs raced around the farm. We used the canoe & kayaks almost every day. Very relaxing, yet close to town for supplies.

relaxing stay with beautiful views

Beautiful and comfortable farmhouse with rolling hills and sunset views. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and kayaking on the river. Many dining options nearby and wonderful hikes available at Shenandoah National Park. One can also tour many nearby historic sites too.

Weekend get away

We enjoyed our family weekend getaway. The view for sunsets with deer were amazing! The rooms were perfect size with an added plus with the small sun room that we were able to use for the kids. The game room and a great touch to the property. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us!

Keep coming back!

We have rented this property several times. The host family is wonderful and has paid extra attention to every detail. The house has become our 2nd home. It's clean and beautiful. Wonderful Farm on Shenandoah River

We stayed three nights at this gorgeous property. It is even better than the pictures and description. The property is beautiful and amazingly well kept with lots of outdoor seating , tables, hammocks etc. The porch with swing and glider was a favorite spot. The River is beautiful and crystal clear here. We caught beautiful bass and enjoyed kayaking and just sitting in the dock. House was very clean…extra efforts had been made to make sure we had everything we needed. Beds were all comfy. Our family is really looking forward to returning next year.

Great house for family gathering

This was a great place to assemble a three-generation family. Lots of rooms. Well furnished. Excellent kitchen appliances and equipment. Full laundry. The game room in the old barn was very popular with the children. We highly recommend it for a family vacation. Rose was very helpful directing us through an alternate route when a storm brought a tree down across the usual road. I took one star off cleanliness only because of mice problem. I understand it is in the country and mice happen, but the pull-out sofa beds had not been cleaned recently and those who planned to use them slept instead on the chaise lounge and sofas.

Peaceful Getaway

Absolutely beautiful home and property - a perfect getaway for our family. Enjoyed kayaking, canoeing and fishing on the river. Most days it felt like we had the river to ourselves. Loved sitting on the porch every morning with my coffee, a book and the view. A perfect location if you want to spend most of your time enjoying the property, which is just what we wanted to do. Not As Expected

This house was MUCH MUCH smaller then expected. We never got the TV to work so luckily my daughter had brought her laptop so we could stream different shows. There were 7 of us and could not all fit in the living room to watch TV together at night. Once we found the area where the canoe and kayaks were it made our trip much more pleasurable. A lot of bug and tics in the house. Expected them outside but not inside. Had a problem with the screen door locking on us but Rose got back to us quickly.
