The lack of transparency to the extent of the renovations and the dinginess of the rooms.
Room was clean, comfortable, and VERY quiet, despite facing busy street and Safeway store. Must have thick windows! I think Wyndham has taken ownership, property is undergoing extensive renovation in various areas. Could use vacuuming around 4th floor elevator. Slow-flush toilet always worked, despite concerns. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay.
Overpriced for its condition.
Dated property - Rooms are spacious (the advantage of older hotels sometimes) and some good attempts have been made to keep it current. However, it's long overdue for an overhaul. I will say, that the rates were certainly cheaper than some other properties in the area, so the relative value was ok. It does look as thought Marriott is about to completely renovate the property.
Staff is great! Location is right in the middle of Summit county.
Very dirty just check the hallways, seems too have never been vacuumed! Very noisy! Only thing good was location!
The room was gross. The blanket on the bed was stained. There was mold in the tub. There was some nasty mess and nugget of something under the sink. The parking lots were pitch black and couldn’t see to park at night and unsafe to walk through. The pictures must be from when the place first opened many many years ago.
Simple, but perfect for short mountain getaway.
Very disappointing stay - contacted management a week ago but no reply. * we weren't informed of the renovation until AFTER we had booked * A/C in our room never worked and it got really stuffy and warm in there * TV didn't work, in-room telephone didn't work, couldn't get cell phone reception in the room * room wasn't fully cleaned when we moved in (evidence in the bathroom and carpet) * common areas (staircase, hallways, etc) were dirty with stuff on the floor that wasn't vacuumed the 3 days we were there We talked to the front desk a few times, but they were never able to do anything so we stopped asking. Such a very unsatisfactory stay - not close to good!
This hotel doesn't look like the photos here. It's outdated and honestly a bit depressing. But none of that matters compared to the health and safety issues. The room was dirty (including garbage from the previous guests). The worst parts of the room include what looked like black mold in the bathroom and some kind of stains on the walls that looked like blood. Like, not cool. One silver lining was the main office attendant. He was super nice and helpful.
The three most important aspects for travelers: Cleanliness! That is the hardest thing for a management to consistently make sure. This place delivered. Clean room, clean sheets - what a relief! It’s worn down, area around is interstate, commercial area, a gas station - not nice. There seems to be construction works going on inside. Indoor pool not too nice but available. Spacious King room. For the price we paid I was more than happy with it!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The facility is in the middle of renovations, which are needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has been through a few changes in ownership without much upkeep, but I was told Marriott was going to be the new owners so expect an even nicer place. I hope they keep the staff on.
My three children forgot their toothbrushes and they were able to get one for free from the front desk. They were under construction so there was no breakfast, no pool, and the place was a bit of a mess. However, they had a room with 3 beds which was exactly what we needed. The room was clean enough. It was inexpensive compared to surrounding places.
I want a refund, i made the reservation and got to the place and after i xhecked in i found out the following: No breakfeast No gym No vending No Resturant No tv No phone None of this was available to me for my stay. I want and need a complete refund.

Dear eric, I am sorry for the substandard cleanliness you experienced during your stay especially in the common areas of the hotel. It is not acceptable to us and we will continue to strive for higher levels of cleanliness. To that end, just this past week we welcomed a new Executive Housekeeper to our team to help us build a team of quality minded housekeeping employees. We are very excited to have her and what that means for the future of our hotel. We do appreciate this feedback and will utilize it to continue our efforts to improve each and every day.
Dear Jason, I am sorry you felt misled about the renovations taking place at the hotel. We have tried to be upfront and transparent, removing amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and restaurant from our online listings and by informing guests in our confirmation email, our first opportunity to communicate directly. We know the renovations impact our guest experience and we do not want anyone to be surprised. Each day we continue to evaluate the tools available to us and promise to continue working to improve our communications well beyond any construction work being completed.
