"The property is a little hard to find. It’s listed as Natural Bridge State Resort Park but the hotel itself is called the Hemlock Lodge. It’s built into the side of the hill. The pool is like 100 steps down at the bottom. Super friendly staff and clean property. A smoke free hotel but the workers are constantly smoking right outside the doors leading out on their breaks. We were visiting with our 2 dogs. The only issue we had is there is no dedicated spot for the dogs to go to the bathroom. There is a small patch of grass on a drop off near the parking lot and a slanted patch of grass by some of the room. Overall not very dog friendly. Hot breakfast is complimentary and was good. Not a whole lot of options but some eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The usually bagels, toast, waffles, fruit, cereal etc. They have food for lunch and dinner to purchase. We went to the dinner one night and it is not worth the price at all. Much better off going to some of the local restaurants down the street like Hungry Hikers bar and grill. Very convenient location near Red rock gorge. Super quiet. Overall it’s a little overpriced for what is offered."

Moondance Cabin at Red River Gorge - Hot Tub

"Moondance was great! Location is perfect for Red River Gorge outings. We ventured into Lexington one day for the Railbird music festival, otherwise, we just took in the scenery and hiking options. The cabin itself was very clean and well appointed...exactly as described in the listing. We are a family of 5 (18yo/16yo/ and 13yo kids), and the cabin was terrific to keep them entertained and everyone had enough space."

Romantic Red River Gorge Cabin w/ Hot Tub, Pond Views & Dog Friendly

"My stay was okay. There is air conditioning, but it is window units. Everything was there the listing stated which was appreciated. The cleanliness was my issue. I understand it's a cabin in the woods but when I arrive there was garbage in both garbage cans. This makes me think it wasn't throughly cleaned prior to my arrival. As I walk through the house I find a dead roach and one dead wasp and one of each still alive. I reached out to the host with no response on that. I did have a problem with the coffee pot that was addressed in a timely manner. My first night there I did see a snake. I took a picture and googled it. It said it was a water snake. I saw it again on my 3rd night and got a better picture. I googled it again and it is a Copperhead! Be aware! It's living under the house on the corner. It's next to the garbage can and right by where you have to walk in and out of the house! Be careful if you're traveling with pets or children. Wouldn't stay here again..."
