Quaint and quiet place to stay, great air-conditioning

We traveled to Fredericksburg for a 2 night mini vacation. A few months before we went, i researched places to stay. I found this location and loved the simple beauty of it. Since it was in June, the heat had already arrived. I can't tell you how amazing the air conditiining was in that room. It was blissful after a hot day of wandering around. The shower was also really big which my husband and I loved. We didn't feel cramped at all. The only thing we wish they would have incorporated, was a small place to sit and eat. There was a sink/refrigerator/microwave area so we brought back leftovers to eat. It was aekward standing at the counter eating. But did it change my mind on the rental? Absolutely not! If you go and want to walk to town, it is 2 blocks up. When the heat is scorching outside, you'll need to drive.

Convenient and close

So nice to be within walking distance of Main Street and activities. Large bathroom and shower was great but the shower head needs to be cleaned with CLR or some vinegar water to get calcium build up off so it doesn’t spray everywhere! Everything else was very nice and appreciated.

Perfect for a couple

This place is so cute. It was the perfect size for just us two. The neighbors were fairly quiet & didn’t disturb us. There were bowls/plates/glasses in the cabinets, a fridge & a microwave down below. We forgot our soap for showers & could have used some body wash or good soap along with the shampoo & conditioner, but that’s a non issue. However, If you struggle with body pain & a harder bed makes it worse, you might skip this place just on the bed alone. Otherwise it was perfect!

So great, easy check in, great all around!

My partner and I stayed here for 5 days and it was perfect! Parking was easy, it was a quiet area, getting the key was painless, and we enjoyed every minute! I highly recommend staying here!!

Very nice cottage in neighborhood close to downtown area. Nice king bed, large accommodating bathroom area and shower. We were satisfied with how it matched up well with the property description.

Beautiful Room

We enjoyed our stay! The only thing that I would suggest is to provide body wash for shower. The hand soap was too small to use. Also, it is adjoining to the main house so you can hear the other guests, but they were not too loud. 😊

Would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place for our anniversary weekend away! It was clean & we felt safe. When coming back to Fredericksburg I would totally stay here again & if more people come I would love to stay in the house!

Girls' gotta get away

Great size for two people. It was a belated and early birthday get away for me and my daughter. Close enough to Main Street to walk and shop, but not ON the busy street. Better pillow options and maybe a topper for the bed for more comfort after a long day walking/shopping would be a great improvement.

Pros: - Walking distance to the shops on main st - clean sheets/towels - amenities like wifi/coffee maker, heater in bathroom, blow dryer, iron.. - heated bathroom option Cons: - Wasnt super clean: Lots of dust on light fixtures and the ledge around the room. The big rug definitely hadnt been vacuumed. Dropped something on thr floor in the bathroom and saw lots of grabage and even a dead cockroach under the vanity! We were only in our room to sleep at night really so it wasnt a huge deal.

Cozy Bedroom

It’s a cute little room with most of the amenities a person could need for a cpl nites stay. I wish they had chairs to sit outside…it was the perfect weather and would have been nice to sit out by the front door with a cup of coffee or wine. I didn’t find the pillows overly comfortable, they were pretty hard. Parking on the street is no problem as it’s far enough back that you’re not competing with other tourists doing shopping on the main strip. It’s a short walk to the main strip which is nice. I would stay again.

Cozy and Comfortable

This place was good for 2 people. We stayed 3 nights. Wifi was slow and no live TV. I'd recommend bringing your streaming equipment with you. We couldn't get weather or local channels. Just apps from our iphones. It was odd only having one chair in the room. Owners might want to invest in an extra chair. The microwave was down in the cabinet behind a door. We finally found it. We found it to be clean and well stocked with hair dryer, soaps and shampoos. Plenty of towels were provided. Basically it was a great place, close to the Main street shops, restaurants, museums etc. Really didn't have any complaints about hearing neighbors due to thin walls as mentioned in other reviews.

Perfect little get away in Fredericksburg

This little carriage house was perfect for my husband and I. Located on a quiet road and close enough to everything to walk. First time to Texas we visited: San Antonio, Austin, Luckenbach, Waco and Fredericksburg-Fredericksburg, by far, was our favorite!! The carriage house is plenty spacious for two and quite comfortable. And, when considering price for the location and amenities, you can’t beat it! Just book it; you won’t regret it! 😉

Enjoyed the property, including the private outdoor sitting area. Wish the room would have had two chairs vs one. Perhaps consider a antique wooden folding chair.

Incorrect listing description

We came to Fredericksburg for 2 nights over New Years Eve. We had plans to ring in the new year, and then plans to stay in the room on New Years Day to watch the college bowl games. Most stores and restaurants are closed, so we were really looking forward to lounging in the room and watching football. Unfortunately, the listing was incorrect. It listed cable TV, which there wasn’t. Plenty of apps and movies, but no live TV, which meant, no ball drop, no local or national news and no college bowl games. Not even an ESPN app. When the property management service finally returned our call, they were unhelpful and unapologetic about the incorrect listing description. It was quite an expensive room for what it was… the listing also said onsite parking but parking was in the street. We actually ended up checking out early and returned home. We have been to Fredericksburg many times and do not plan to return to this particular listing.
