Checked in to the Residence Inn on December 12th. Hotel is located along Westview Drive, which is a service road lined with hotels. Check-in process was smooth. Room was located on the first floor and was clean and large. However, toilet had not been flushed and bathtub was leaking red rust. A little horrifying. The process to find food late at night was also pretty rough (the website that the front desk gave me didn't seem to work that well). Breakfast was ok, nothing stellar. Otherwise, fine hotel.
I used this property recently to conduct a meeting. I normally don't use residence Inn's. They usually don't have a big enough training room for my needs. The training room with this facility is Easily 1300 ft.². I found every aspect of this meeting extremely easy and convenient from coordinating with the local staff sitting at the meeting in executing the contract, to the staff who actually took care of my catering needs and setting up the room. The room is set up to my standards and the floorplans night sent them. If I ever have to come back to Frederick to teach again I will definitely use this property.
Hello, Because of my career, I travel often and it's usually extended stay. I very rarely stay at a place with poor service because I have to make it my "home" for about 2-6 months. So, I know good hospitality and I know EXCELLENCE! The Residence Inn Marriott in Frederick, MD is hospitality EXCELLENCE! From Jean (the housekeeper) to Kathy Crone, they are the BENCHMARK OF EXCELLENCE! Yes, I know names!! When people are THIS dedicated to making excellence seem seamless, you call them by their names: Kathy Crone Ross Baker Ali Natapong Ryan Brenda - Front Desk Guru Victoria Roslyn - Working overnight and STILL the epitome of Customer Service at 6:55 am!! Aggie and Jean - on the fine evening cuisine SEE...I know the people because the people knew me, took care of me, and made me feel like that hotel was my home!! THIS is the definition of customer service! This company is really doing something that more domestic corporations to take heed of today: Consistent and Seamless Execution of High Standards!
Enjoyed our brief stay... this is a dog friendly hotel, Yeah!... Tasty Hot Breakfast each morning. The hotel is very clean...staff very helpful and outgoing in their wish to help guests. Great patio area...basketball hoop, swimming pool...bbq grills and billiard table.
Stayed at this hotel on the way to and from the outer banks. The hotel is fairly new and our room was clean. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. On our return trip-I had to wait over an hour for the room to be cleaned. It was a greater inconvenience than usual as I was on crutches and in a lot of discomfort. Once we got in, the room stunk of cleaning chemicals and the floor of the kitchen area was soaked. I almost wiped out. Breakfast was great on the way down and totally not great on the second time. The second stay was Labor Day weekend, but you would think they would have had it staffed better. I do plan on staying there next year-it’s a great location-right off of 270 with great shopping and restaurants within a mile of the hotel.
My husband and I had to evacuate Florida before Irma arrived to get to our granddaughters wedding on time. I had booked this hotel for three nights. But now I needed it for Three more nights. When I called to ask if it was possible to have a two bedroom suite for the entire stay as nice as Betsey was she could not promise. Completely understandable. However, after fleeing Florida for four days The marriot people surprised us by having our suite available. Kathy and her entire staff treated us like family. They were wonderful in helping us plan our days and gave us the best places to eat and site see. We cannot thank these people enough. We will be forever grateful!!!!
Hotel was easy to find. I don't know why hotels were so hard to find on this particular weekend, but I felt it was overpriced. The room was clean and spacious, although the queen sized bed felt more like a double. Despite being animal friendly, the hotel was very quiet. A very nice and hearty hot breakfast in the morning.
Stayed here for only one night while traveling from Calgary to Harper's Ferry. The rooms were well furnished and the light was ample for reading or working on the computer. There were plenty of electrical outlets. We had a one bedroom with a separate office/living room. The only major complaint is the noise from flushing the toilet. Hard to sleep through. The included buffet breakfast was plentiful and adequate for its purpose. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Stayed two nights while in Frederick for a wedding. My brother and his girlfriend shared one of the two bedrooms while my wife and I shared the other room while our daughter used the common room with a fold out couch (she likes them). Comfortable beds, spacious bath facility. Full kitchen with utensils and cooking vessels. Staff was friendly. Location was pretty good. Several good restaurants and the Francis Scott Key mall very close. Also the Monocacy National Battlefield is close. Nice common area in the lobby and there is an outdoor common area that has grills. Don't know if anyone could use them or if was there for special occasions. Either way, nice touch. All in all, a comfortable stay.
The rooms have been remodeled. They are clean, large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. They recently obtained a liquor license, so they now can sell wine and beer. The only disappointment is the quality of their cocktail hour snacks. The Hilton, Homewood suites, does a much nicer job and offers free wine and beer.
