Have stayed here for the past 3 years because of its location, facilities, cleanliness and friendly staff. The two bedroom single access rooms are ideal for couples, families or colleagues because they allow individual privacy or free access to share the facilities . They back onto the pool area which also has a warm spa . The spa could be hotter though ! Also the bonus with these rooms is that a full buffet breakfast is included making it very affordable . The restaurant is reasonably priced and has daily Chet’s specials, but the choice is a little limited . Free underground parking is available , but can fill up.
Stayed here for one night with the partner and the king bed and pillows are amazing - had the best night’s sleep! Only downer is how paper thin the walls are - could hear our neighbours throwing a little gathering till around 10pm. The other negative was the parking situation. We had hoped they would allocate parking to each unit but that’s definitely not the case. We went out for dinner to come back to no parks underneath the complex so had to park out on the road! We were pretty annoyed by this as the room was advertised with secure parking and we were on a road trip with camping valuables in the boot. Other than that the room was modern and clean and the receptionists were lovely :)
One of the reasons we chose the Ramada Hervey Bay was the location close to the Boat Club which is on the waterfront. The room we had was very adequate and well equipped with a clean shower and a comfortable bed. A large screen TV was great as you could lie in bed and watch your favorite program. The room is airconditioned and a separate heater is provided if the night is cold. We stayed at the end of May and did not require the aircon or the heater. The hotel has a large swimming pool however it was too cold to swim. The pool would be very popular during summer and has plenty of pool furniture to laze on. Breakfast is a smorgasbord of hot and cold food and is served very freah. Fresh fruit is also available. Free undercover parking is a bonus. Eating out is a dream as the Boat Club is just over the road. The food is very good and cheap. The staff are very friendly and ensure you stay is trouble free. The hotel is recommended for short stays in Hervey Bay and very good vakue for money.
Great place to stay, friendly staff, rooms are clean and comfortable and great modern facilities Will definitely be back and would highly recommend the Ramada to other travellers Nice and quiet place to stay
We have now made this our Hervey Bay "place to stay". Check-in and check-out service at reception has been friendly and efficient. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good. Although Wi-Fi was free it was also very slow! Families will enjoy the large pool.
I came on a business trip and the location Was perfect as I didn’t need to go anywhere. I had a pool view room which made working pleasant. I bed was comfortable and he room was big neat and tidy. I ordered room service which came very fast. The meal was nice but had a lot of fat in my pork belly. The tv was working with the movies and cable but I didn’t want it anyway. It was a good stay.
My family and I spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Ramada Herver Bay Resort. I must say that it was a great vacation spot for families, indivuals and couples. Essentially the weather was one factor that made the trip enjoyable. First time in Herver Bay. Did some research about the place before going. Strong recommendations to stay here for anyone who is looking for a holiday away from a busy, noisy and touristy areas such as Brisbane. The travel time was about 2hr30min from the southern end of Sunshine Coast. We did couple of stops which pushed the timing a little further (not in a hurry). The drive was easy going. Less traffic as you head north. The hotel was located along Charlton Esplanade and close to the beaches, ocean and marina area. It is a brand new property and situated at a safe and peaceful spot. This hotel differentiates their product as being a moderate luxury hotel but at a very reasonable price. Hope they stay this way. I would give it a high 4 star rating. 1. Parking: Free parking. No stress at all. The guest car park is on the ground floor and covered. Street and overflow parking are available on the street.Easy access to the rooms and reception. However if you have a suite that is all the way to the far end, it may be a little concern but nothing major.Lift service is available right up to the main desk and to the first floor (entry point to the apartments). 2. Rooms: We took the 1 bed room suite. Room equiped with most of the standard facilities. It had a kitchenet, wash basin and a stove for cooking etc. Microware and eating utencils were all available. Aircons were working as expected. Bathroom, decent size and clean. It was spacious and nicely fits 2 adults and a child. Room was clean and spotless. It had a daybed and a dining table too. Tv: free to air and foxtel. Now listen to this... This is the greatest part! The on demand movies were all literally FREE! Yes, I mean that. We watched at least 4 movies during our stay here. Most hotels are greedy and charge their guests charges for movie. However this hotel does not charge for most of the movies. I dont believe the other Ramadas offer this privilege. I mean you won't spend the time watching movies unless there is a storm outside. But its a great way to finish your long day especially at nights. 3. Wifi Access - Free and had slightly above average speeds. Easy to connect and allowed at least 3 devices. A plus point. No harrassment about timeout and add more credit, money, coins, bitcoins etc. Note, guests hate this type of setup. 3.Amenities : mid sized pool, clean and well maintained. You can see he pool from the main cafe. There's actually 2 main pools and 1 jacuzzi/spa minipool. The larger one was towards the end (non-heated) but the smaller one was heated and has a perfect size. Great to watch the sun go down at the cafe (outside) or on the pool deck before dusk, while having coffee/tea during summer. 4. Dining: our room came with free breakfast. Its better to include breakfast when making the booking. Else just like all hotels they come with a bigger prize. Management can you enlighten me on the theory behind this? 5. Staff and customer service: i would say above average. Friendly staff at the check in counter. Thats all that we needed. I didn't remember names but the way they functioned was like real team players and were truly like a family who would treat guests like their own. This is what customers are looking for! And this is what customer services is all about. All Hotels: learn from this resort about customer focus and care. 6. Proximity to shops and amenities: only minutes away from the Urangan Woolworth and perhaps 10min drive to the main shopping which is the Stockland main shopping area. 7. Getting there: If you are originating from the south, like the sunny coast, take M1 bruce north, and towards Maryborough, then follow signs or your GPS! Once you are in Hervey Bay follow Boat Harbour Drive. This inner bypass road takes you through the city and all the way to the east side of the esplanade (Marina). Places worth visiting or may be of interest from here x- Boat Habour marina, includes boat club and the cafes along the marina.Watch the sunrise here. x- Hervey Bay whale and Fraser Island, Lady Elliot island tour are closeby.(Bucaneer Drive) x- The Mantra is just around the corner too. x- Urangan Pier x- CBD near Torquay. x- Botinical Gardens x- Reef World - 2 mins drive from Ramada. x- Stockland mall x- Wetside Water Park - Torquay Other things to Note: - A car is a must to get around. - Bring a fishing rod. - There are no sea view rooms here, in case you're wondering. But with all the plus points reviewed above, you won't need a sea view. You can feel the sea :)
Our third stay here at the Ramada, Hervey Bay. Everyone is always extremely friendly, and most importantly rooms and resort always very clean and comfortable. Pool great. Easy two min walk to Boat Club at the Marina where there are other great Restaurants too, we've tried a few now. Also Tour booking office there also, and a lovely leisurely walk into the main street also. To be honest we decided on this trip that we wouldn't bother even looking anywhere else in future. We think great value for money.
Close to the city. Bus stop nearby to get you to and from the city. Restaurant inside hotel and walking distance to others like the yacht club. Air conditioning worked well. Bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower could of been better but did the job. What was great was the complimentary in room movies and wi-fi. And a good selection too. For smokers there's a balcony with patio furniture. If it's hot there's a pool and spa outside. Room was well soundproofed and I wasn't disturbed by the live music downstairs. I'd stay here again if I was in the area.
Modern new hotel. Clean and fresh. Very comfortable and spacious room. Free parking available on a first come first served basis. Breakfast available although room has a small kitchen. Our room had small balcony with table and chairs but noise of traffic not very relaxing, so we didn’t use it. Room itself is so quiet. Don’t hear any noise at all. Great toiletry products. Hotel has a gym and pool.
