The room heater was on at highest, room is 28C. Have to open windows to cool down. I thought I’d only a mistake, but I saw lot of open window rooms.
The hotel is located close to the Glacier site, which is a plus. But really, the ambiance is lower than I had expected WiFi signal was the worst here of all the places we visited. Break fast was good. it reminded me of my earlier days apartment buildings. Parking is a hassle. Please give us larger and more rubbish cans in the room. Travelers have a lot of rubbish they get rid of when they are on the move.
Nice hotel, somewhat outdated but pretty much the best place in town. They know it and charge for it. Would be more then half the price if anywhere else.location!
Overall the room was ok but if felt a bit like a barracks. The bed was not that comfortable considering I had a spring poking my ribs. And the bathroom was tiny with a ridiculously low water pressure. And what's with the two faucets for hot and cold water. I either burned my hands since the water was so hot or froze them. No middle ground.
Scenic hotel is the second most expensive hotel in your list but we foung scenic hotel no better than a $50 motel per night. The room was like a match box. The bathroom was very small .. no view
Treat yourself, this hotel was excellent and the staff was exceptional. Definitely worth it.
Purely through the internet, I got to know about the Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier and booked a room for one night for my wife, daughter and me. I'm very lucky that I did this because the stay was more than comfortable. I must specially acknowledge Nikhil Bhat of the Front Office who was most courteous, friendly and helpful. I strong recommend this hotel to all visitors to the Franz Josef Glacier.
We had stayed 2 nights at this motel. The staff was very kind and helpfull. The room was small but perfect for 2 people. Everything was great at this hotel, the only down side was the noose of door slamming and people talking in the corridor. We recommend this motel.
Conveniently located, big room. Hotel needs major face lift - shabby furniture, carpet, fixtures -- list goes on...
