Pacefull place in Foz. Once at Wish Resort, you probably won't get out for nothing LOL. It's really beautiful and all things works perfectly. It's nice to be on houses despite a hall with a bunch of rooms. Breakfast is amazing and it's really cool to drink champagne early morning :) Kids club is also perfect and my kids got out morning and just come back at 10:30pm.
I am at the hotel with family and kids The hotel service is very poor, takes to long for cleaning the table, serve the drink, The meals are not adapted for kids or vegetarian people. Breakfast could have a better offer and variety. The kids entrainment is very week and the monitor team aren't nice and polite with the kids
We loved it at the Wish Resort. The staff were friendly and kind and went out of their way to make our daughter's birthday special. She is still talking about it! The kids club was well equipped and the staff there were great. The beds were supremely comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the dinner was good value. The pools looked lovely but we didn't use them as they weren't heated and it was a bit cool. The hotel provided us with all the info we needed to enjoy the area. Thoroughly recommend it.
Having stayed in a few resorts in the past, this place definitely doesn't live up to the mark. To be fair, it's more of a 3 star review but the disappointment in comparison to expectations led me to give it a 2. Don't get me wrong, the grounds are very nice, the pictures do it justice and that is truly how it looks. Unfortunately that is one of the few benefits. The staff are the main reason for the poor rating. In first, they seemed to mix up our rooms providing a small cramped single room to two people and a large spacious double room for one... which becomes difficult to swap once you've settled in and realise there's a mistake. Simple errors at check in like this didn't make for a good start but we were open minded. Next, having researched Iguassu falls for some time, there's a lot of confusing information about how to do both Brazil and Argentina, options for travelling to and from etc. I thought the easiest way would be to ask the hotel, as since its the only reason people travel to the area surely they would know. Sadly their knowledge was seriously lacking. I had to ask the same person twice, and eventually resort to asking other guests, before I could get an answer as to what was the best way to do the Brazil and Argentina side. One member of staff knew nothing about Taxi's to each side and how much they cost. We asked another member of staff 3 separate times about an ATM to get cash from and got three different answers each time... ranging from it being 2m to 2km away (its actually 5 steps from the front desk behind a door). As it's a resort and the town is far away, you largely eat dinner at the property which we did on three occasions. We were expecting a small amount of high priced food and were actually pleasantly surprised. They offer a buffet salad and soup, main meal (of good size and quality!) and dessert for about 75 real, which was about the same we would pay elsewhere for a meal. The food is of very good quality and the mains change on a daily basis. Sadly once again the service at the restaurant wasn't great. I feel at a resort like this where people come from all over the world, the waiter should be able to speak English however sadly this was so limited that we actually received the wrong order at breakfast and dinner. I don't recall seeing a single smile on the faces of the staff in the restaurant the entire time. Finally, we had some spare time to kill on the day we visited the Brazil side of the falls and returned early. We thought we would use the jacuzzi and steam room/sauna facilities. We were advised we needed to call ahead from the room to get the jacuzzi turned on so we did. Unfortunately on arrival the jacuzzi was still freezing cold so we informed the staff... eventually 3 times over half an hour and eventually gave up after about 45 minutes when a member of staff walked past asking if it was still cold, only to laugh and carry on walking when I said yes. Giving up on the jacuzzi we tried the sauna which is turned off to save money and takes about an hour to heat up to a reasonable temperature... another failure and waste of time sadly. The fitness centre on the other hand has a good range of cardio and weights equipment to use! The resort is also large and so wifi on the peripheries is almost non-existent! I fortunately had my 4G to rely on. All in all, a nice looking place where the service is seriously lacking. If they bring this up to scratch it would easily be 5*, however I would choose elsewhere if I was to ever return
Our stay at the hotel was very relaxing. It is close by all visitor attractions, yet located in a tranquil estate with beautifully kept grounds. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and beds very comfortable. There are multiple units consisting of approximately 4 apartments each. The main pool is warm and sparkling blue and cocktails at the pool bar, is a must. There are also smaller pools located between the units. We had only breakfasts at the hotel, which had a good buffet variety and was included to our stay.Staff are very friendly and helpful, also taxi services was available at all times and very efficient. We recommend this hotel at any time.
This is a lovely sprawling hotel complex of multiple freestanding casitas of 3-5 units each sprinkled across the property. The pool was large and just the right temperature. There is a great breakfast buffet (that was included in the price of our stay),, that included omelets, bacon, cereals, cold cuts, various bread treats and wonderful sweet varieties of fresh fruit. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant one night and had the MOST DELICIOUS risotto ever...I had mushroom, and my husband had the shrim one. YUM!! Our room was spacious enough for our two large suitcases and had a great sized shower. All was clean and comfortable. Our only 2 complaints were that the temperature of the AC is set at a specific limit that was a bit too warm for us to be comfortable. The room also had a slight musty smell of mildew, though everything was meticulously clean. We took 2 Viators to the Falls, one to the Argentine side, and one to the Brazilian side. Both picked us at the hotel...very convenient.
Probably the best resort outside the Iguaçu Park, Wish intend to provide all the comfort possible for those who want to enjoy Golf or keep a comfortable base to be in while visiting the region. The most fair grade would be 4 but staff efforts justify the top ranking.
A wonderful hotel set in beautiful, surroundings. The rooms are in individual houses (23) around the grounds, each house has approximately 8 rooms. Set in wonderful gardens, with a large swimming pool. Also in the gardens a beautiful golf course. Rooms and service top quality. Would stay here if in Iguacu again
Layout is a series of multi room chalets over an extended area with central facilities including reception, 3 restaurants, swimming pool, fitness centre & conference rooms A series of smaller pools are located around the chalets Service can be variable otherwise we very much enjoyed our 3 night stay
We were 4 people traveling together. We booked this hotel because we used it last year and enjoyed the stay. This year our visit was also Ok, but we noticed some changes in the service. We had some moldy smell in the room when we first stepped in, and I think it was because of too much humidity. The layout of the hotel, the outer look of the bungalows is very nice and the gardens are very well maintained. The rooms are considered somehow small. Our tarvel agent had books us Superiour double bedrooms, but they were not as expected. The service is very slow. Their restaurant had good variety buffet for both breakfast and dinner.
