Absolutely beautiful resort, meticulously well kept grounds and rooms. Beautiful private beach and so many shells! We will be back! ❤️

We stayed at the Sanibel Inn and loved every minute. Our room was comfortable, spacious and set up perfectly. And did I say it had a great view? The room had a screened balcony that overlooked the pool, gardens and the Gulf. We loved our stay and plan to stay there again!

The Inn was well located for getting on and off and around the island as the traffiic can be intolerable; the grounds are nice and well maintained; the room was clean and quite comfortable and conveniently located on the beach; and the resort is quiet even though it was almost full during our visit. The drink and food service is very adequate.

We enjoyed our stay at Sanibel Inn very much! The staff was wonderful-- the office staff was pleasant and very helpful, and the grounds workers especially hardworking, friendly, and enthusiastic. The rooms were somewhat dated but the beds extremely comfortable and the bathrooms modern and well stocked. We really appreciated the extra amenities that were available free of charge-- beach chairs and umbrellas, bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks. The outside bar was fantastic and the staff excellent. We hope to come back!

Great hotel. Everyone was friendly and the entire grounds were clean and well kept.

Beautiful hotel right next to the water, the rental fee included canoe, paddleboards and bikes rentals. Loved the pool area, very cozy.

Everyone on staff was very nice and accommodating. Beach chairs were spread out and available for long time after 5:00PM. Flexible checkout time. Nothing bad to report. Pleasant stay. Would stay longer in a bigger unit.

Beautiful place. Staff was friendly. only complaint I have is that I could not stay longer. Will definitely go back.

Nice hotel on the beach. We enjoyed using the resort's bicycles to tour the island and relaxed in the pool when it was windy on the beach. The on site restaurant was undergoing a renovation but the tiki hut was open and the drinks were delicious.

For the price you pay one would expect updated rooms. 2 queen beds barely fit in the space, was disappointed in furnishing. The bathroom felt straight out of 1970s, but the balcony view was amazing.

the required items make this a pain. Be thankful for what you get.

Other than the hectic checkin procedure, we enjoyed our stay. The location was great and the staff quite helpful.

The staff was friendly and always gave over the top service. We even had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting in our room when the front desk staff found out we were on our honeymoon! The views were incredible, the rooms were beautiful and very clean. Can't wait to go back!

The hotel appeared online to be fancier than it really was. It was fine but not so much that we would come back. The room was plain and basic. That said, the beach was nice, they had bikes we borrowed, and we saw an endangered tortoise on the grounds and a VERY COOL giant snake which we were thrilled by.

The hotel room was smaller than I thought it would be. The staff was super friendly and very prompt. The view was slightly obstructed due to being on the end of the building but it was still very pleasant. Rooms were well kept as well as everything else. Great place to stay!

The Sanibel Inn once again made us feel like home. There are many places to stay on Sanibel, but we always feel like the Sanibel Inn is the place to stay. It is always clean, comfortable, and priced right.

Wonderfully quiet and comfortable. Not luxurious. Thumbs up.

Sanibel Inn is a laid back comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed it.

The room had no water or any type of drinks avaliable...the lights didn't work...also charged my card an extra fee which was never mentioned when I booked the room.

We were greeted by Peter who was very informative about what to do. He also was able to get us into a suite which was very roomy. I am very picky about bedding and this was fantastic. Went to Doc fords for dinner, captive island and watched the sunset at Mucky Ducks. Make sure you visit Jungle Drums Gallery next door and at least by an original signed t-shirt. Head to Bowman Beach for great shelling, went to the farmers market in Cape Coral then head to walk the pier in Ft. Myers. Went to lovers Key and stopped at Bonita beach. Very quite and private. Have lunch at Docks Beach house and sit outside or on the beach.

Hi DocDoc, Thanks for the review and I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. This time of year the traffic can be horrendous for the island. Our bicycles and the 26 miles of bicycle path are perfect for navigating the island. The paths are separate from the main road but follow them closely. It is the preferred method of conveyance on Sanibel. I am so glad that you enjoyed the room and everything was to your satisfaction along with the offerings at our on site restaurants. Our Island Time Bar and Grille serves from 11am to 8pm poolside while Dante's offers breakfast from 8am to 11am and full service dinner starting at 5pm and ending at 10pm. I hope you will return soon and we would be honored to host you again soon. Regards, Jason Trimble Reservations Manager The Inns of Sanibel

Hi Sandra, Thanks so much for the review. We are finalizing plans for updating the interiors after an extensive overhaul of the pool, bar, and gardens in 2017. As of yet the final decisions have not been made for the room interiors. The bed mattresses are barely 2 years old as they were replaced in the summer of 2015. Nina and her team really do a wonderful job helping our guests with all of their requests and suggestions. Chris and the recreation guys are wonderfully knowledgeable about all things Sanibel. I hope that you will come back and that you choose us again for your choice of lodging on our island. Regards, Jason Trimble Reservations Manager The Inns of Sanibel

Hi Ken, Thanks for taking time to let us know how we are doing. I am glad that you were able to enjoy the wonderful view from our rooms and were able to enjoy the beach and shelling. I will let Management know about your review of the furnishings. We were renovated in 2012, but from time to time we need to be reminded. Thanks again and I hope that we get a chance to host you again if you decide to come back to Sanibel Island. Regards, Jason Trimble Rooms Control The Inns of Sanibel
