Nice hotel on the beach. Only thing I didn't like was all the drunks around....would never take my children here. I think I am pass the partying stage of my life so I don't think I will be back....but if this is your thing it would be a great hotel.

3 nights with 2 young children and NO sleep. The band played til 2am then morning deliverys started at 4am. Brutally loud, and could be cleaner.

If you want to be on the beach with a gulf view this is the place to be. If you want quiet this is not the place to be. The hotel was nice enough for the price, we did not spend a lot of time there. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, it had all the basics which was good enough for us.

Stay very far away from the excursions with the guys in the red booth on the beach. Went on the jet ski dolphin tour. There were no dolphins and the tour guide took off and left my 12 year old daughter and I alone in the middle of the ocean miles away from the hotel without any idea how to get back. The hotel staff was great with the exception of the guy who greeted us in the parking lot when we arrived. He was less than helpful when trying to figure out how to check in or where to park. He seemed clearly annoyed that we were asking where to go and if we could get a bellman. Jacob and the other girl at the check in desk were fantastic!

Run down, smells horrible. I would only go there if you're 21 and want to have nothing but a drunk party. I would not recommend this to any other people and especially not to families with kids. We were only there 30 minutes before we checked out and my kids saw things they should ever see at their age. Do not stay there!

We stay here every year. Can't beat the location. Walk to everything, dining and shopping. The hotel is dated but the rooms are clean and have a awesome view of the Gulf of Mexico. If you are looking for quiet this is not the place for you with the hotel having several bars and lots of loud music. late check out is never granted which is a real disappointment every year. Beautiful sunset photos taken from room balcony.

I've never been to Ft. Myers Beach so I don't have any other hotels to compare it to. The hotel was nice, clean and had a balcony with a beautiful view of the beach & gulf. There are little shops & food places at the ground level and also a bar with music. The music gets pretty loud on the weekends and into the early hours of the morning which is my only complaint. Had a great stay other than that.

The room was great, view was beautiful. Lots to see and do. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating..we hated leaving! Definitely will return!

After reading reviews I wasn't sure about staying at the Lani Kai. All rooms have beautiful ocean views. The room was clean and very large. The building is old. The pool was nice and the beach was beautiful. Something weird was going on with the Ocean and it smelled and looked mucky. This hotel is definitely a party hotel during spring break time. I would avoid if looking for a quiet get away during Spring Break.

Room was very large, had a King size bed, dresser, couch, desk, dining table with 2 chairs, night stand, coffee table, 2 additional chairs on ocean view balcony, dorm room size fridge, microwave, coffee pot and hair dryer. Newer flat screen TV and several channels to watch (not just a news channel) Sink/ vanity separate from toilet and shower to make getting ready easier. Rooftop dining was amazing, the tables are glider swings and you have an amazing view of the beach and ocean while you dine on delicious food at good prices. Heated pool was awesome for those times that the ocean was just too cold, they even have staff outside the pool area to hand you a towel. The staff was wonderful, all very friendly and helpful.

Views are incredible, facilities are just okay. Food and drinks are good, not great.

If you don't care about cleaning or are not concerned for your safety then you may like the hotel. The "joke" on the island is that you need your TB and STD meds in order to stay there! We stayed ONE night and checked out and went to stay at The Pink Shell which was wonderful and cheeper. The Lanikai wouldn't even let me take a cooler of water to "their" beach! There was ants in the room and the railing was about to fall off!!!

Upon check in I was skeptical by the physical appearance of the hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised with the layout of the room and beach view. There are 3 restaurants and several bar options. I loved having mimosa with a beach view every morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It's a very lively hotel with music and live bands. The only down side of you can call it that it's slightly outdated but they are making improvements. I would definitely return!!!

Nice hotel close to the beachexcellent location little dated didn't like the staff smoking in close proximity to the room overall four out of five will definitely be back

I booked a room with 2 queen beds but ended up with a King and pull out couch. I called the front desk and they were booked and could not accommodate a different room. They gave us 4 drink tickets for our inconvenience... I was disappointed but the room was clean and we made it work. We had difficulties with the toilet not flushing properly and they sent someone up to fix it immediately. I would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was beautiful with all of the murals painted on the outside. The rooms were newly decorated and very spacious with an amazing view of the beach. The food was good at the restaurants and the staff was very helpful when we asked about local attractions. Will definitely go back!

Loved every minute of itvwill be going back next year

All I can say is I read the reviews but I wanted a balcony on the ocean and the other hotels were sold out and over $350 a night. This one was $250. We should have spent the extra $100. This has to be the seediest and noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. We just laughed. What else can you do when you ignore the reviews and book anyway. Hotel is old, dirty and in need of major repair. The balcony door lock was broken and we called maintance to fix that right away. The outdoor band plays until 130am so don't plan on sleeping until then. Ear plugs are a must for the noise during the rest of the night. The delivery trucks start about 6am so once you fall asleep the "back up beeping noises" from all of them wake you up lol. Then of course the garbage trucks up and down the street, and the beach tractors. This is a mixed age group. Young and old. The old men sit and watch the young girls. Lots of smoking and definitely the smell of pot rises to your balcony. The room is nothing special. The view is spectacular of course and the hotel staff is kind and helpful. If only they could get normal people here! We look at this as an adventure. I mean, we just keep laughing. The location is awesome. Walking distance to Time Square and the pier. Book this hotel only if you read this and are ok with the noise and shenanigans! As I write this smokers are below and the smell drifts up here. But the view is so amazing!!!

Room was clean to the eye but not to the feet. Room was light and bright and beautiful sight to the beach. Lots of restaurants and things to do. But for us much too noisy and busy. We were looking for peace n quiet. Two bars and restaurants with loud music and noise day and night, not our thing. Everything except our room was very dark n dingy. Parking was almost impossible. Parking lot was not designated to just hotel guests.

Beautiful ocean views and party scene. Worth the money and certainly you get what you pay for. neverwas not ideal and in a terrible location but we spent our days at the beach. Overall decent place if your looking for a cheap oceanfront room.
