This place was horrible. From the beginning I should have know. Was meeting family in Ft. Myers and they made reservations. Since they used their cc to confirm rooms I was given a hard time to check into my room with my credit card. I felt like I was being interrogated. It was clear the employee was upset because I bothered him from watching his tv show. The room was horrific. The bathroom shower spigot was held to the wall with duct tape. The floor of the tub was black with dirt. Of the three lamps in the room only one worked. When we returned from our dinner with the family I asked the same employee if they had a clean shower mat for the shower. With an attitude he gave me a dingy towel. Told me to use this. The beds were just as bad. The pillows followed suit. I had to purchase a shower mat to take shower. Upon check out the employee on duty gives us the bill. Gives me a credit card bill and tells me my stay for the two nights was $534.00. When I asked him my room total should only be $240.00. His response was 2 rooms plus tax. That is what he kept repeating. I told him I was not going to sign the receipt. He immediately got an attitude. I said to him when we checked in we both gave c.c.s. He said no that we only have the credit card from when the reservation was done. I repeatedly had to tell him that my card was imprinted as well. I literally had to grab the receipt from his hand and show him that there two credit cards imprinted on the back. That one room was to be charged to each card. He babbled some words in his native language from India. He finally corrected our bills. I was just glad to leave this horrible motel. NEVER AGAIN. I have stayed at 4 star hotels for what I paid for this dump.
My reservation consisted of a placed to retreat for Hurricane Irma. The front desk person was extremely helpful in getting me settled. I got their two days before Irma had and stayed almost two weeks after she left. I have never had a hotel be as kind and courteous as the staff at this establishment. They could have put their tails between their legs like next door at the Travelodge did during the storm. I would give my business to this establishment any day of the week and twice on a Sunday.
We made a last minute reservation and were pleasantly surprised that this motel was better than we expected. Our room was comfortably equipped with two queen size beds, a fridge, TV and a functioning wifi. It also opened on the pool rathet than the parking lot. Laundry facilities were available on the second level and there was a grill nearby where we had breakfast and dinner one evening (not remarkable but decnt). We were so comfortable that we decided to stay a second night, which happened to be the yearly light parade and fireworks display to crlebrate Thomas Edison, a Ft. Myers resident.
Location was good for me. Front desk staff were friendly. The room was very basic. No iron, old decor, no phone, crappy pillows and no Guest Services guide/booklet. Wifi was hit and miss. When I went for breakfast there was nothing and I mean nothing left except for coffee which was good. When I asked the staff about breakfast he just mumbled something I couldn't hear and didn't even look up or offer to get anything else. I thought it was pricey considering it's a budget hotel.
This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. I guess you get what you pay for. We stayed two nights and thank goodness it was only to sleep. The room was in pretty bad shape, towels were paper thin, wifi didn't work, and the breakfast was waxy tiny donuts, white bread, Tang , and coffee. I felt like we were in a very seedy movie. Never again.
Mr. Patel was a great help to my wife and I when hurricane Matthew was headed for West Palm Beach and we decided to shutter up the house and go west to N. Ft Myers. The predicted path would take the storm into West Palm and then up the East Coast. At the last hours the storm jogged a bit north and missed our area where we live. We left early and arrived in N. Ft Myers without reservations on Tuesday. The night clerk check us in but failed to put we would be staying more than 1 day. The next morning we had no room because of his error and Mr. Patel had 39 confirmed reservations and no room for us downstairs and non smoking or even upstairs and smoking. However, he called me in the room and worked out with a person a room change and kept our room rate the same. Our room was 100% great. Everything looked new. The pictures do not do justice to the room we had. It also has a great restaurant right next door to the lodge. We stayed until Friday morning after the storm passed and look forward to going back again and staying there and enjoy the great attractions near by like the Shell Factory. Tell Mr. Patel the Durels highly recommeded the his place and appreciate his great service. By the way housekeeping is terrific.
This place advertises truck parking. Yes for smaller U-haul sizes trucks not tractor trailers. The gentleman that checked me in said I could park next door if I was gone by 7:30am which i was so no problem. The lobby is small and that's where breakfast was servred. Not much just drinks and pastries. Room was adaquet for a trucker. Alot of workers staying here.
My wife attempted to stay here until she met the man at the counter and saw the room. The man was rude and smelt. The room was dirty and in disrepair. The pool was not working either. We immediately asked to cancel our reservation but the man refused. We did not even stay here and they charged my card anyway (completely illegal).
After travelling all day and being tired we Booked in here for one night and that was enough. Wifi didn't work, room was old and grubby, breakfast is almost non existent . The area didn't feel very nice.
This was a very bad stay for the price. The bathroom had a leak from upstairs when they showered/bathed. Two sets of towels in a two double bed room. And a couple of the lamps didn't work , they appeared to be falling apart. And during the night, some kids were playing around after we went to bed. No consideration from staff.
