Stayed with our daughter's family over spring break. Location is great. Close to shopping and walking distance to huge uncrowded beach. House was clean with a nice kitchen. Heated pool was a big hit with the grandkids and there were plenty of beach towels provided. Enjoyed sitting in the screened lanai watching the pelicans diving after fish in the canal. Description should have mentioned that all living spaces, including bath rooms, are 29 steps above the pool deck and driveway. Management company should consider providing filters for the coffee machine, more laundry detergent and some counter cleaner. Called management company for some repairs and voice mails were not getting through. Once we got a hold of the correct person, a repairman was sent out that day and repairs were completed.

Great place!!! We knew the area so knew we wouldn’t be super close to Times Square..loved the quiet / more private beach area beautiful spot on the island….. A lot of steps for the house for anyone older would be the downside of the house. That is the ONLY negative.

The house was 5/5 stars - clean, well maintained, quick walk across Estero Blvd to the beach. Bring salt/pepper/spices/coffee filters, but otherwise the kitchen had all the dishes, appliances, etc we needed. Lots of soft towels and linens and extra beach towels for the pool. Nice screened porch to sit in. I gave it 3/5 stars for the lack of a heated pool. We chose this house because they advertised a heated pool in the listing title. We have been to FMB many times - last year in January and the heated pool in a different VBRO was warm enough to swim when it was much colder than this stay. The pool heater was not running when we arrived and it wasn’t running until the third day of our stay — after I had called and sent numerous messages. Even then the heater only ran for a few hours in the morning. If it’s summer and the pool will be heated by the sun or you can swim at the beach —then I would highly recommend! If it’s in a less warm time of year and you have kids that love to swim, then I would stay somewhere else.
