So if youd like to book a room months in advance, only to recieve a text while your in the airport on your way down to florida - stating theyre sorry, but your reservation is cancelled due to electrical problems - stating the hotel will be closed for the week... then this is the place for you! So now you dont have a place to stay - and every place thats available - the price has gone up 3x. -oh and by the way - I walked passed this place - and everything looked in order, no electrical issues. Oh and the good news! they promised me 30% off my next attempt at staying... So i tried to take them up on it, and was told they would call me back - never did. Vacationers beware!!

The staff and manager were fantastic. It was steps to the beach and boardwalk. I would definitely recommend and would definitely return. The room was perfect for a couple. Very comfortable. Perfect location.

My husband and I flew from CA to attend the Raider/Miami game. Most places on the boardwalk were more expensive. We took a red eye flight and arrived at the hotel at 9:30AM. The hotel allowed us to check in at that time for a small fee. We were so tired and thankful! There is a great working AC and a fan above the bed. There are pots, pans, coffee maker, towels, and a hair dryer. The bed is very comfortable. I was incredibly pleased. I could hear the person snoring each morning though. There is also a lot of construction going on but if you're out and about during the day it's no big deal. Parking- You get one assigned parking spot which is great considering how busy this area is! The space is spacious and nicely maintained. The TV is in the living room but at least there's a TV. The boardwalk is so close. There is an amazing taco spot in walking distance as well. I would happily stay here again! It's affordable, comfortable and in a perfect location!

Decided last minute to take a weekend trip to Hollywood, Florida. We had never stayed at Hollywood by the Sea, but would stay there again in a heartbeat! Loved our room and Dario was most helpful. We bring our bikes and go early so if our room is not ready, we just go have lunch or sit on the beach or take a ride. Everything is steps away! The charm and beauty of Hollywood Beach is the fact that there are still smaller, one or two story hotel/motels all along the Broadwalk. They are less expensive and charming. If you want to spend hundreds of dollars....go to a high rise....you can find them too. But a place like Hollywood by the Sea is super cool. Park your car and you can walk everywhere. AC works great....fans in rooms....kitchen well stocked. I would not understand anyone giving this place a bad review. Loved our experience and highly recommend!

My family and I had a great time staying at this hotel. The rooms are much more spacious than expected and fully equiped. It is located half a block away from the sand itself and offers free parking on premises which is something very limited on the beach. Dario, the hotel manager, was very helpful and atentive. He greeted us at the check in and when leaving. We would love stay here again on a future visit

We stayed for a couple of nights before our cruise last week. I should say we had a wonderful stay at this property. Dario was just a message/phone call away. Wonderful service. Literally 20 seconds walk to the Hollywood beach. Two cute beach chairs, a nice umbrella, couple of beach towels in the closet made the beach day a perfect fun. coin laundry and irons are shared but it's a very small property so that's not an issue. Will definitely come back to stay here again!!

Let me start off by saying that we were pleasantly surprised by this little hotel by the sea. Small details like messaging us hours before check in to touch base with us. The suite is detailed down to the fluffy towels. The location is just around the corner from the boardwalk yet it remains a quiet and peaceful spot. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We just returned from an amazing Holiday weekend staycation at this hotel with our two toddlers. From the time we checked in, we were thoroughly impressed with how nice it was and how helpful everyone was. We have stayed in MANY hotels/motels in this area, so we know the difference between the good, the bad, and we have definitely seen the ugly. PARKING/UNIT: We drove there, and the free parking space was such a nice freebie, especially when some hotels in this area either don't have parking, or charge a ridiculous amount to park on their property. No parking reservation needed, every unit has one space, come and go as you please. PERFECT. We were quickly walked into the New York suite with no waiting, and no fuss which was perfect with two antsy toddlers. The suites were just like the photos seen on their website, and we were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness, size, and little attention to details in our room. From the pillows, to the wall decor, I loved the extra touches that made it feel more homey. The woman who checked us in said that they are constantly upgrading the rooms. You could tell that there was a little designer's touch. It really shows that the owners care about their units and someone had/has fun decorating them according to their individual colors and themes. Our NEW YORK unit was very spacious for two parents with two children. It was an open floor plan, kind of U-shaped with the living room/futon on one side of the U, the kitchen at the bottom of the U, and the bedroom on the other side. We had enough space for our kids to run around, play with their toys, and they could watch cartoons on the pull out couch without being right on top of us. There were 4 of us, and we were only stocked up with 2 towels, but were given 2 more immediately upon request. It was very nice to have the manager right on site when things were needed as other places we've been in the area, you may have to call or email and wait for an answer while your precious vacation time wastes away. SLEEP: Besides the cheap mattress (see my negatives at the end of this review), our unit was super quiet (Thank God we were on the 1st floor because sometimes our toddlers ran around). I appreciated the fact that the bedroom of our unit was in the back, so we never heard cars coming, going, or car/unit doors closing. I was worried about this noise since the parking lot is so close to the doors of the units, but even while sitting and watching TV, we didn't hear car/unit doors, and we never heard people outside our unit talking/yelling/partying/walking. This is NOT the norm for small hotel/motels in this area. We have been in nearby hotels where you can hear almost EVERYTHING going on outside including people coughing (ugh). We never heard another person while inside our unit so we could barely tell anyone else was there. BEACH GEAR: There is a storage closet with a ton of beach chairs and umbrellas on the outside of the laundry area. Very nice, and new chairs with working umbrellas as I've been to other local spots with umbrellas that are raggedy, useless, and fly inside out. The beach chairs/umbrellas here were of great quality: strong, newer looking, and perfect. There were even some left over beach toys, but we brought our own. I wasn't sure about the beach towels either because we also brought our own so I didn't inquire. There's also a laundry line hanging behind the units where you can discreetly hang your wet clothes. This was another added touch as some nearby units have the bathing suits hanging all over the balconies which can sometimes look a little messy. KITCHEN/DINING: Small kitchen area was very well stocked, we weren't there long enough to really cook too much, but we had breakfast (waffles) in the morning and snacks at the dining table. There's a regular sized fridge, stove, microwave, and toaster. I believe there was a coffee maker, but we don't drink much coffee so I didn't pay much attention to it. The kitchen was stocked with an abundance of nice cutlery (some places we've been the cutlery is old, and you may have 2 spoons 3 forks, and 1 knife if you're lucky), and our unit even had appreciated 'leftovers' in the pantry like salt, oil, etc., so that if you stay longer you aren't wasting money buying those types of things that you'll only use for 3 days (been there, done that). WIFI/TV: The wifi was the most amazing I've experienced while in a hotel (even those I've had to pay to use). It never went out, we never had to refresh, my toddlers were able to perfectly stream their favorite movie before bedtime each night, I could surf the net with no issues, and listen to a podcast. We didn't watch much TV, but it had all the kids channels and a ton of cable channels so in case you get caught at the beach having a rainy vacation (happens often here) you'll be able to keep the kids occupied until the sun comes out again. I've been in other hotels nearby where I swear they just lied and said there was wifi because it never worked. LOCATION: PERFECT. A few buildings from the boardwalk where there are tons of restaurants, a splash pad park area for children under 12, another area with a playground, lots of ice cream shops, and live bands playing at various locations. Right behind where the Taco Shop and ice cream place are, there are those 2 and 4-person bike rentals you can rent where the parents/older kids can pedal, and any smaller kids (including toddlers) can be strapped in the front. Pretty neat and good for exercise after all of that ice cream, and very close to the hotel. Cash only, I believe my husband said it was $15 for 30 minutes. We eat at Taco Shop every time we're on the beach. Yummy fish tacos and nachos at a good price. WATER TAXI: For those interested, there's a water taxi ("trolley on the water") stop if you walk down to Margaritaville, walk through the hotel, and walk down the block down toward the intracoastal waterway, you'll find a water taxi stop that'll connect you all the way from Hallandale Beach (south) to Fort Lauderdale (north). It stops at different hotels/restaurants. The walk to Margaritaville is scenic so it doesn't seem long. You could also just Uber/Lyft it to the stop, but I think walking would take aproximately 20 minutes. Just check watertaxi dot com hollywood for the route, stops, and schedule. The only negatives that could be improved on (and the reason for the 4* instead of 5*)? There's no TV in the bedroom area and the mattress was pretty terrible. We only stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, but for a longer stay, we would prefer a TV in the bedroom where the adults can watch the TV/news on a rainy day/during nap times, and the kids can stay with the cartoons in the living room area. Also, the bed felt flat, cheap, and hard. I'm sure something as simple as a couple of cheap, eggshell mattress covers from Amazon or Walmart could help with this. We aren't mattress snobs by any means. Overall, this will be one of our top choices for this area because of price, location, and comfort/charm level. While some hotels in this area are just a room with some walls and a bed, this one really feels warm and more of a beach house feel. As soon as we opened the door to our unit we were all smiles and happy with our choice.

A very nice place ,wonderful hospitality ! It suited our needs . My daughter and her family were visiting in Florida ,in order for both sides of the grandparents to enjoy some time with the children and grands ,we stayed there however not only did the children get to build sand castles ,the adults had a chance to have some fun too ,like fishing and having fresh catch for breakfast ,like exercising on the boardwalk, family biking ,dining out etc .What a fun time we all had! We wish to thank Ruben and his wife for making it a very comfortable and memorable stay for us !

We are completely satisfied with this hotel. Family owned, clean, stylish, and great customer service. Upon entering our studio we noticed that it smelled great and everything was clean. This place is unique. The rooms are decorated by country/city. Our room was PARIS so it was decorated with Paris inspired decor. The onwner was super friendly and accodating. We will definitely stay again next year. One last thing, this hotel is really close to the beach 20 second walk and you're there. Has off street parking . You'll have a designated spot to park.
