I just came back from Hollywood FL. and it is with much regret that the Diane Motel is no longer in operation. I assume the last hurricane that came through got the best of her. The windows are boarded up and the roof has plastic over it. I am not sure what their plans are for the property, but for now, she will be missed.

Easy to get to our room with my Mom in a wheelchair. Bathroom was nicely set up with a handicap shower. .Parking was a plus.We were able to have car on the premises .Beautiful ocean/beach viewing on the patio.

This hotel needs to be condemned. They are currently open while they are doing "repairs" the water was turned completely turned off for over 4 hours. We could not flush the toilet or take a shower. Tiles were replaced in the bathroom so now there are 3 different types of tiles in there. There is a large hole where the shower head was replaced. I don.t think anything old or new is up to code. The manager.s office is a fire hazard. My husband killed 2 cockroaches. The entire time i took a shower the shower curtain stuck to my leg. The drain in the shower is at the higher end whereas the water does not drain properly. There is a difference between an extremely old hotel and a hotel that needs to be torn down and rebuilt. It is a shame another hotel in that location would be beautiful. The price being charged to rent a room is outrageous. A joke and on top of that they charge 25.00 per day for parking. I have been on several vacation in several different states and have never experienced anything like this. Shame on the owners

1st of all, the "main office" looks like a bomb went off in that place. The rooms are very, VERY old, the water pressure practicly non existing and hot water...well good luck with that. It has a beautiful view but it should have been updated long time ago, not saying it needs major overhaul but it would be nice if doorknobs, faucets and showers worked. Oh and towels, towels are horrible, we had holes in our bath towels!

This is an Old motel. Needs a little TLC. Was Clean and served the purpose. We were not there to stay in the room. Love the fact that you can walk out the front door and be on the boardwalk. It is right in the middle of all the action. Was nice to have a kitchenette, keep your own food and drinks. the Band shell is one block away. In the evening, our room was on the end #102, you could here the noise from Nick's bar next door. parking was good. Office personnel was friendly. Housekeeping did a good job.

We had over $200 a night for this place and knew it was not going to be great, what I don't understand is why for a few dollars it could be much nicer. Some decent towels in the bath, replacing the rusted basket in the shower and some new light fixtures would do a lot. Doubt if we would stay here again. As has been noted the location is about as good as it gets.

We chose to stay here for the location opposite the beach It's like a 60's style motel with a kitchen A walk up situation unless you have obtained ground floor Air con fan TV kitchen beds comfortable great location

Looks like most of the furniture is all at least 20 years old. Simple things like the lever to flush the toilet was put on backwards. They have a full.kitchen... but no pots and pans for cooking. A spectacular and conveniant location, but the management seemed to feel it was fine to enter an occupied room. Every excuse is found to add on charges. A bedspread needed to be laundered.. so a charge was added... parking spots are an additional charge... all in all.. its a great spot for a vacation.. but it needs a lot of upkeep. In fairness, my neices cousin showed up with an unannounced Yorkshire Terrier.. even though the small dog was only there for part of the rental, a charge was added for every day of the entire rental period. Also a fine was added for in room smoking, even though there was none. In general... we were not made to feel that we were welcome.. Beware

Like most of the other reviews, great location and good price. All the other newer places nearby are almost double the price. Right in the heart of the busy Hollywood Beach broadwalk. (not boardwalk). The rooms overlook the walk and the beach. Beautiful sunrise views from the room. Many restaurants and shops with in walking distance. That being said, things can stay noisy on the broadwalk into the wee hours, especially on a Sat. and Sun. Large and very clean rooms. The kitchenette with Stove, Sink, MW, Fridge, Dishes were nice if you want cook. The Hollywood beach trolley provides access along the beach front and to Downtown for $1 a ride. The main stop is at the info center next to Margaritaville. There are definitely some things that need repairs or a good coat of paint. The bed platform corners stick out several inches past the mattress and are real knee bangers. My biggest complaint is the smoking. The rooms are non smoking so everyone goes out on the balcony to smoke.. For all the rooms, there is one long upper shared balcony, with a central stairs to go down, and lower shared balcony/terrace fronting the beach. There was always someone out there smoking and if you are non smoker, you have to go back in the room and shut the door. Always a pile of stinking butts in the containers on the balconies. The hotel is old FL style. Along with a lot of the other "unique" accommodations around, the area seems to draw the old school FL visitors. It's been a long time since I've seen that many over tanned/wrinkled people smoking and sunning their way to an early demise.

The location was great. Walk out the door and you are on the beach. The motel is old and it shows. Our room was clean but it was like stepping back into 60's with my parents vacations. Do note the office hours. We were needing to leave at 9 on a Sunday and the office doesn't open until 10 and there's no drop box. Overall not bad but don't expect luxury.
