The Highland Club is located walking distance to the heart of Fort Augustus. Walking distance to gas station, convenience store and Caledonian canal, also to some cute little souvenir shops and restaurants. What apartment has EVERYTHING you need. They give you a welcome grocery items like cereal, milk, water, sweet treats, including wine! They provide you the things you need for cooking such as oil, salt, pepper. But you’re not allowed to take them home! Which is fine. The apartment has its own washer and drier (2 in 1). WiFi is very fast and also the apartment has its own printer. I was able to use the printer to print new tickets since my tickets for castle entrance were wet from the rain. Thank you! Overall room is very cozy, clean, artistic and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and the water was abundant! The only draw back probably was it didn’t have a lift / elevator. They said they are not allowed to build an elevator due to restrictions of preserving the abbey. Our apartment was on the 4th floor so it was a little hard on us but if you don’t mind the stairs and you don’t have heavy luggages then it’s fine. Definitely we will come back again. Gordon offered to tour us around the facility to see the swimming pool and the gym but we were able to find them as well. Thanks Gordon.

We had a 2 night stay and had a beautiful apartment. Only thing negative I can say was that we were there during there heat wave and the apartment was in desperate need of fans because the windows would only open 2 inches or so. Was very uncomfortable at times but again they are not used to the heat so usually no fans was needed. We were welcomed with breakfast cereals, milk, wine, chocolate and cookies. We didn't utilize the kitchen but they had all of the cooking equipment needed for any meal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!
