I booked this online to have a king size bed. I'm not a picky person. As long as the bed is clean and there are no bugs, I'm normally a happy camper. When I arrived, they had me staying in a handicap room, the only room available. There was nothing on Orbitz to indicate this was a handicap room. Also, when walking into the guest services to check-in, the woman was complaining about her computer crashing all day and didn't know certain screens to check me in properly, as she had to get assistance. The room's bathroom had roaches crawling on the floor and that pretty much did it for me. I ended up driving home early to get back to my house.
way too many work truck and they all most back into me even then I sounded my horn!.
The location was great. were used to Marriott ,but none in town . They were clean and nice beds to sleep. Would stray there again. The only thing That was not clean was the hall way out side had cigerit buds on the ground.
Excellent Hotel and Staff. Will stay here again when in the area. The Fatz Cafe is also excellent.
Just had an overnight stay while I was in NC but the room was very clean and a nice big comfy King size bed :) Everything I needed, friendly staff, easy check in/check out and delicious complimentary waffles for breakfast! :)
The staff are great, the hotel is under remodeling right now, would love to see the new rooms, pool was clean. Right where you want to be, places to eat, walmart, ingels is right by (an awesome grocery store, starbucks inside)
Made reservation through the O travel site the evening before arrival. When we got to the hotel, they had no record of the reservation and were basically full. Not sure if it is an O issue or hotel's. Brought up reservation e-mail on hotel lobby computer and had desk staff look at it. They had a handicapped room with 2 double beds, not the king we reserved. Room was okay but noticed the next morning, little black specks in one of the beds. Not sure if they were fleas, remnent of other bugs or what. My wife had 2 bites on her legs possibly from there or maybe where we spent the day but it was suspicious. Brought it to attention of the desk staff and she said they would have it checked out.
the room was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The overall facility was attractive, and the staff was very cordial. The availability of coffee in the lobby until midnight was welcome!
We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Jameson. Our room was decent, smelt a little like smoke but was fine. Older property.
We found the Jameson to be clean and comfortable..The room was small but ok for a overnight. They had plenty of food and drinks for breakfast. The staff was pleasent..
We were in town for our daughters sports competition. The hotel was not the best Jamison I have ever stayed at. Actually I would say it was the worst. The hotel itself was clean and not falling apart. The problem is not enough staff and the staff they had at the front desk on the afternoon shift was not very friendly. The rooms weren't cleaned daily and new towels weren't left when they were cleaned. On one occasion I had to go down to the front desk to get more toilet paper b/c it had not refilled after being in the room for several days. One of the ladies from the afternoon shift (Ibelieve her name was [...]) tried to charge me for my room at check in when I had already paid via credit card [...]. When I showed her the invoice she didn't know how to confirm the reservation and appeared upset at me b/c the reservation had been made on line. The staff on day shift were nice contrary to the night shift.
staff very nice and friendly. nothing fancy about hotel but no fancy price paid either.
was a great stay,,,But at check the desk clerk could not tell me how much the room was,,,,
Met by friendly staff upon check-in, plus they will go out of the way to make your stay more comfortable. If you call to check on your reservation, or ask questions about the hotel, staff is always pleasant and it's not a bother. The rooms are small, clean and bedding is slightly above average. I would best describe this property as a cross between a motel and a best western. So if you are expecting a best western, hampton inn, or holiday inn express, you will be disappointed. However, if you are expecting a typical motel, you will probably be very pleasantly surprised. Overall, I would give them a three and a half stars, but you can't do half stars...
I was visiting family in the area for the holiday. The hotel gave the housekeeping staff the holiday off. The rooms were clean but a bit worn especially the carpet. The layout was pretty much standard, nothing inspired. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful but the lobby did not stay open all night. Overall the Jameson Inn at Forest City had good potential but needed a bit of work to get much above average.
The room was great and an excellent value. Room was extremely clean, quiet, bed very comfortable and room size was above average. Included breakfast was good, but did not offer as many choices as some do today. [...]
The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the pillows fluffy. I am a fussy person when it comes to hotels even the smell of the place is important to me. I felt very comfortable here. I would have liked to have a fridge in the room and maybe a microwave but other than that it was great. The make your own waffle bar was great. And the wifi server had a good and fast connection. The only thing that would be better is if they had some kind of info in the room about the breakfast bar, pool and area restaurants.
Every thing with the Hotel was fine, but as far as with orbitz. I checked my account and found that along with deducting the cost of the room, you also deducted $200, this was not necessary. The funds were returned, but the issue is you took from me with out permission. I will take this in to concideration the next time I book something on line.
IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED WHEN WE NEEDED IT
This is a great place to stay in small-town friendly Forest City, NC! There is only one other consideration in the town. DO NOT... I repeat... DO NOT stay anywhere other than here! The other places are GROSS! I know... I am originally from this small town. I always find the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms neat and clean, they are pet-friendly, and breakfast is good. I dig the waffle iron deal. The local Wal-Mart is right behind it if you decide you need anything at 4:00 am and there are restaurants on every side of it. What more do you need?
