"This home was excellent for our large multigenerational family. The number of bedrooms and baths provided privacy and convenience. The large common areas, kids play area and media rooms were very functional for a large group. Access to the beach was excellent and we really enjoyed the large porch - especially in the evenings! There are some items that need attention in such a nice property. First, cleanliness. The porch was messy upon arrival. Chairs scattered around, piles of sand and broken shells and the hoses stretched across the entry area. Not a great first impression. Inside there were cobwebs, dead and alive bugs. The fridge had a fishy odor and residue - ugh. Second - The kitchen was not fully equipped for a house that sleeps up to 39 people - only 8 plates and less cups and saucers. Not one dish towel. We are a family that likes to gather and cook and additionally chose this house for the large kitchen. It was frustrating to arrive and then have to leave and acquire kitchen basics. Lastly - there was a gator immediately adjacent to the property. I am a gulf coast native and realize that this is can be the natural habitat of gators - but it seems there should be warning signs or fencing around the property. I messaged the host - but did not receive a reply. All in all we had a successful family weekend - but a property with such potential should and could be better with some attention."
