Amalia Hotel Delphi4.0 out of 5.0

This is a very basic hotel with no complimentary water n no hot flask or kettle in the rooms. We have baby with us so is abit inconvenient. Otherwise breakfast is ok n service ok too. Close to delphi town, very small town better to drive to archival a nicer little town close to my parnassos
Not a lot of choices in looking for a full service hotel in the area. Clean but in need of an extreme upgrade. Rooms and facilities a throwback to 1970s. Mattresses soft and furniture should be replaced. Very basic place but could not find anything better for one night in Delphi.
The hotel has been designed to take maximum advantage of the views, with vistas over the valley and mountains from all rooms. Built into the mountain side from stone, concrete and wood, the hotel complements its environment and exudes high quality. Dinner and breakfast are a blend of Greek and international cuisine served by attentive and friendly staff. A short walk from the bars and shops of the town and well situated the oracle at Delphi.
The hotel is in a very good position and the rooms have a good view over the valley. The personnel is very friendly and all rooms have a balcony where the customers can enjoy the view when the weather allows it. Only one drawback: the breakfast tables are far from the customer tables which requires a sort of a „travel“ to reach them!
The room was clean and comfortable. The hallways are a bit odd in my opinion, long stone corridors that are quite cold and has a weird atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were very good, wide variety and everything was tasty.
Basic, clean and obviously a ski hotel in the winter. Biggest surprise was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Great views from the balcony off our room and fair sized swimming pool below. In house restaurant is very convenient. Whilst our package included dinner & breakfast, dinner was smorgasbord prepared ‘sometime ago and kept warm’ for the buses. Warm & filling but not nice. Once again tea/coffee was ‘an added extra’ as was anything other than tap water. Sigh. Breakfast was standard fair, but much better than dinner (there is a limit to how much damage one can do to cereals, milk & fruit). The hotel could probably have done better, but there no signs they were willing. Sun Island Tours definitely could have done better.
We had a very quiet and comfortable room with firm beds and a nice bathroom. It's a very simple place to stay and it felt good after we walked all day on a very hot day. Ours was a short stay but we enjoyed it very much.
At the top of a hill overlooking the lovely Delphi location. This hotel offers a unique lay out and is well staffed and nicely appointed. Lovely grounds and gardens, a neat hotel to stay after a days exploring.
This hotel's strongest point is its location -- near the Delphi Historical Site and Museum and overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. The rooms are nice enough, and the food in the restaurant is generally quite fresh -- especially the vegetables and fruits, with plentiful portions.
First, the place was clean and everything worked. Beyond that, it was like a hotel designed by Kafka. There was nothing on the walls. The plain corridors stretched out forever. We know, because the room numbering was so strange. The room itself had no pictures to relieve the feeling of an institution. The metal shutter was closed over the glass doors and we could not open it. This completed the feel of a prison or asylum. There was a television- 10 inch screen tube type.
